Problem With Flash Movie Playing In Dreamweaver Help?
So i made this flash movie which is only couple seconds long. I brought it into dreamweaver. When i play it, i get the background behind it which i don't want. Not the dreamweaver background but the one that came with Flash animation. How do i get rid of it? Why am i having flash background with my animation( face animation).
By the way, i exported the flash animation as a flash movie. So i used that exported one instead of the real file.
But please you must help me. I am not good with this dreamwear stuff.

I want to include a 'welcome' flash movie onto the homepage of my site, but I just want it to play once and then disappear. Do i do this through flash or dreamweaver? and if so how?

Playing Swf In Dreamweaver
I have published my movie and want to embed it in a blank Dreamweaver page. I used insert Flash within Dreamweaver, saved it, opened it on my desktop and it worked great. The problem is that whenever I take that Dreamweaver html to another computer to show off my work all I get is a giant white square where the swf file should be. I have tried this on numerous computers, Mac and Windows all with the same result. They all had the Flash player, so that wasn't the problem. Please help, this is the first time I have published a movie and it is driving me insane.

Help FLV Not Playing In Dreamweaver
Ok.. I have a FLV file that i imported into Dreamweaver 8... I used the standard settings.. The html, flv, and clear overlay swf are all in the same directory.. Plays fine when I test it... Files are being tested from the web server.. However when the file is played thru the direct URL it will not play.. IE says click to activate the control.. But then it does nothing..
Any ideas????? HELP!!!!!
Help With Flash Movie In Dreamweaver Doc.
well, i have a flash movie(header.swf) in the header of my dreamweaver document, but the buttons that will make the flash movie scroll are not in header.swf, they are flash buttons, but they are in the left column of the dreamweaver page. I want to know if i can make the buttons control the header movie even tho it isnt apart of header.swf. Please help asap! thanx.

I am searching for an answer and would be greatful for any help. I created a flash MX movie and inserted the .swf into dreamweaver MX. Now I want to add layers OVER the .swf and for some reason it keeps adding under, never over. Can you add layers over a .swf. Does anyone know?
Importing Flash Movie Into DreamWeaver
I just finished creating a little movie to go with a page I am designing in DreamWeaver. It contains 3 images morphing into each other,one after another & the company logo. I used the "trace bitmap" feature on them all, as they were jpeg bitmap files before (about 33 kb each) but now they are a different type (gif?.
Anyway, my movie will not play in DreamWeaver & I have absolutely no clue why it won't work! I've tried everything to make it play! The icon shows up, but when I try to play it the movie won't run.
Please help me out, I'm very new to both these programs!

Using A Flash Movie As A Background In Dreamweaver MX

Please forgive me if this is a really easy question, but I am having problems trying to get it right.
I have a flash movie that I would like to use as a bakground for a web page I am making in Dreamweaver. However, when I insert the .swf file into my Dreamweaver template, it is placed below everything.
How can I make it appear as the background in my Dreamweaver template?

Centering Flash Movie In Dreamweaver

I've decided to post my problem as I seem unable to solve it by my self (I'm quite new both to flash and dreamweaver).
I've made a flash navigation bar for my web page and I've inserted it inside a table in the top frame of my html page and centered it in the screen.
Under that, in the main frame, I have settled a table of the same width than the nav bar and I've centered it as well. They both seem to be perfectly aligned when working in dreamweaver, but they are not when previewing it on the browser.

I hope someone tell me how to align both tables perfectly, since I cannot lose more time in such a trivial matter.

Movie Works In Flash, But Not Dreamweaver
I used the loadMovie command to create an .fla to be used as a title bar. It previews fine in flash, but shows up white or blank when previed in dreamweaver. any ideas?

Ok, this seems relatively straight forward but I am getting tricked a bit...I have a page being created in dreamweaver that basically is information about pictures and then has a link for each group of pictures...What I want to do is have each link staggered down the page, when a person clicks the link I want it to play a flash movie clip that I have made for each group of pictures that basically works like a photo album...I have the flash movie made so that part is done, the question I have is how do I do this combining flash into dreamweaver...I know how to do it if it were flash only considering the movie clip would simply pop up over my original flash work...But in dreamweaver I am use to having to place a flash movie in the file and it takes up a certain amount of page space, this is what I don't want...I want to be able to click on one of the links I have made and have my original dreamweaver page stay in the background while the photo album simply appears like a small pop up window to play my movie clip....any suggestions? thanks....

Flash Movie Dreamweaver 8 Import.
Hi. I made a flash logo for my website. I import the flash movie in dreamweaver 8 and resize it (actually 923 width and 119 height). The problem is that there is a blank rectangle above and under the flash logo-obviously the blank flash stage. In flash i made the logo in the centre of the stage. How can i delete the blank spaces of the stage and keep my logo and import it to dreamweaver 8?

Load Movie Flash And Dreamweaver
I had movies loading into Flash 8. But when I published the SWF and HTML they movie clips no longer load into the flash once it's embedded into the Dreamweaver file! Can anyone help me out?

It's the strangest thing. I also lose the drop shadows that are in the loaded swf files.
Only one of the buttons will load a movie once it is loaded into the main flash move. The rest of them don't. And like I said, the drop shadows are lost in the loaded movies.
This is frustrating!

Getting A Flash Movie To Display Over Frames In Dreamweaver
I have created a flash menu, but i am having trouble in displaying it in dreamweaver, it seem's to display behind the frame rather than over the top of it, i was wondering if there is a way of overlapping the frames,i.e a peice of action script or a selection in dreaweaver.

Flash Movie Doesn't Load In Dreamweaver
I'm trying to center my flash movie withing a 3 row table in an HTML file that has the "Flash Detection" javascript embedded within it. I'm really not sure if I've put the table formatting HTML in the correct place or not. When I test the movie everything is fine but it doesn't load online. I'll attach the code to this post. How would I have a flah movie of a menu and once a button was pressed, getting it to load an html page, outside the movie. Or atleast get it to send a variable to dreamweaver to get it to change the table value to antother page??

How To Arrange Flash Movie BEHIND Navigation Bar - Working W/Dreamweaver
I'm using MX2004. In my Dreamweaver template, I've got a navigation bar that drops down the menu (not a flash navigation bar). But a flash file does sit below the bar. I had made the menu items to drop down over/into the flash file which is in a div coded after the nav bar.
I've tried "bring forward" the nav bar in Dreamweaver, but doesn't seem to be able to go over the flash image.
I've tried putting the flash file into the div as part of the background in the css, but then Nothing shows up.
Of course, I can't make the flash doc transparent (which would actually have been okay since the flash has plenty of white space near its top and isn't critical content).
Maybe this isn't even a good topic for this board, but I've looked elsewhere I can't seem to find an answer. Perhaps because I'm not using the right search terms. But if someone has done this before, I'd appreciate hearing how you got the flash layer to move back.

[CS3] Trouble With Flash Movie Clip Links In Dreamweaver
Hi,
I have a dreamweaver website and on here i have a links page which i have made an animation, in flash. I have then saved the *.SWF in my website folder and embedded it into my links page within dreamweaver.
On my dreamweaver page, i use 2 frames, a top nested frame, then my main frame. The links in the flash animation dont open in a new page and only open in the mainframe of my website leaving the top nested frame looking very ugly against another website.
The Actionscript code i have behind each link, in flash seems right.

Buttons In Flash Movie Used To Link Dreamweaver Pages
Hi guys, I'm new to this forum and I must say, this is a brilliant website. I've picked up things I never knew before in Flash.
But there's one thing I need a lot of help with. I don't know if this question has been asked before, I've searched the previous threads but I couldn't find anything relevant to my problem.
I've made a Flash movie. This movie has four buttons named home, portfolio... etc. Pretty standard button names.
Now I've made four pages in Dreamweaver. They're titled home.html, portfolio.html.... respectively.
Now I've put the Flash movie into all four pages. What I want/need to know is how do I link those four buttons in my Flash movie to their respective html pages?

See how each Flash button in that whole Flash movie links to a different .html page?

Unable To Publish Flash Movie In My Dreamweaver Site
I created a website in Dreamweaver. The intro header is done in flash, which I can view successfully when I preview it in my browser. However, after publishing the site to my web hosting company, everything comes up except for the flash components. I checked the path and the path is right. Can someone help me figure this out? Flash Flv Movie File Doesn't Play In Dreamweaver With Controls
Hi, my swf files plays great with the external Mojave play controls, but when I import the swf into dreamweaver and publish with the all file places and setting correct, the external controls don't show although the swf file is the size it should be with the controls.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get the controls to show?

How To Avoid Reloading Large Header Flash Movie For Each Web Page In Dreamweaver
Thanks for reading this. I have a 2.3mb flash movie that appears in the header for every page in my web site. It's a design that I've already compressed by 20% and I am sort of stuck at this size. How can I tell flash to look to see if it's already loaded and just begin to play/loop it at the end. I am a relative newb and think that "gotoandplay' or 'gotoandstop" could work but I'm lost on coding in Flash or Dreamweaver itself?
The final frame of my file is 185.

Playing A Flash Movie Inside Another Movie
Hi All. I've created a small site out of flash, and the content I have made using Swish. I exported the Swish to an SWF file, then imported the SWF into a new symbol --> Movie, named "Content". This consisted of 20 individual frames. I then accepted it, and dragged the "Content" from the Library into the main piece of movie itself, but when I try to view the movie the imported SWF does not play. Does anybody know how to play a flash movie, inside another flash movie. Cheers,

Check If Movie Clip Finish Playing Before Playing Next
I'm trying to figure out how to create a conditional variable script to check to see if one of the 4 movies are finished before starting the next selected one.
I have 4 menus with 4 movie clips that have an opening and closing animation in them.
When clicking the one of the buttons I would like it to check and see if any of the movie clips are in the open position. Then have the movie that is in the open position play it's closing animation. Then play the selected category movie that the person clicked on.
I know it's all done with variables but just cant figure out how to put it together.

Playing A Flash Movie From A CD Rom
i have built a flash movie and want to use it on a CDrom. It runs fine from my machine but when I try it from others it doesn't work. I have supplied flashplayer 6 for the mac and pc, but it still doesnt work when those have been installed...any suggestions

Flash Movie Not Playing
i converted a quicktime movie into an swf and have imported it into an html dreamweaver file. i've burned a cd and when i put the cd in various computers and click on the html file, the flash movie doesn't play, it just sits there. is this a dreamweaver question? is there something i have to add in the flash code to ensure it plays? do i need to include some kind of plug in on the disc???

Flash Movie Not Playing
After installing the flash player my movie will not play. In control panel it shows the program installed. I have gone through all the technotes and besides messing around in the registry nothing has worked. Why can't I see the movie after flash has installed? This happened overnight. I have tried system restore and have been unsuccessful. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.
Flash Movie Not Playing
I know this is supposed to be really easy... but for some reason my flash movie isn't working (that I encoded from video).
This is the 2nd time that I've tried to do this and it keeps failing. I follow the "publish" stuff in Flash and export it to dreameaver. Then I upload the html file and the associated files with it, .fla, .swf. and the skin .swt.
And all I get when I upload everything is a blank screen: http://www.assumption.edu/news/newshp/current_news/video/042507_dennis_house/dennis_house.html
Does something need to be installed on our server for it to work? Other flash movies work like on our header, www.assumption.edu
It also doesn't work when I try to play it within dreamweaver. Just a blank white area where the movie should be.
Thanks for any help. I hope it's just a stupid rookie mistake that I'm making.

(which is crashing in some IE 7 browsers but works fine in IE 6 and gecko browsers.. but that's another battle for a different forum)

Hello, just wondering, how do you play a flv file in flash?
My flash application is to let user select from a range of flv file, and then play them within the flash application itself.
