Problems With The Flash Trial Version
Hello all. I recently wanted to try the Flash trial version, so I downloaded it. Everthing worked great, I downloaded it, etc. However When I went to open it, it said that I had to put in a serial number, or try the trial version. I clicked "I want to try for 30 days" (or something like that), and It said, "A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial version".
??? What do I do?
p.s. I'm running OS X leopard btw.

I looked at the macromedia site, and this version is not available there, does any one now where I can get it?

Help With Trial Version Of Flash MX 6
I'm currently working on a Flash MX 6 presentation at school. I am seriously behind and need help. The main problem i have it that the version i have at home is Flash MX 6 trial. So it doesnt have certain fonts. I sent the original FLA file to my email so i can open it at home and work on it but the font is set to another font, not Wide Latin. So the entire presentation looks weird. Anyone know if i can fix this or save it and send it back to school (edited with changes to animation)without changing the font?
Also, before i open the fla file i sent from school, it says has a message which reads.."one or more fonts used by this movie are not availible.Substitute fonts will be used for display and export. They will not be saved to the Macromedia Flash authoring document?"
What does that mean? It means that once i save and finish and send it back to school, the original text will still remain?

Flash 8 Trial Version Is Corrupted.
Have any of you experienced this as well? The trial version is the full version, only limited until you purchase the serial number. It downloads fine, but when I try to install it, it says it's corrupted. I have downloaded it twice now just to make sure something weird didn't happen and it failed both times. I'm running Windows 2000 on this computer and Windows 2000 SP4 on the other so I know it's not an OS problem. Macromedia states that it will work on 2000.
Any ideas? I'd really like to try this. This is a major problem with Macromedia. Does it install ok for all of you?

Looking For A Trial Version Of Flash MX 2004
I have been using Flash 7 at my desktop computer to work on a group project. Currently I'm overseas and I hoped to download a trial version of Flash 7 on another computer over here to continue my work.
So far, this hasn't worked and here's why:
-Macromedia's website only offers a trial version of Flash 8
-When googling, I find trial versions of Flash 6
-When googling I DO NOT find Flash 7.0 for Windows
-When googling, I find versions of Flash 7.2 BUT it will only install if 7.0 is already installed
(NOTE: Moving from Flash 7 to Flash 8 to Flash 7 again will leave some really messy results. I wish to avoid that.)
My options:
-Give up (bad idea)
-Have someone who's better than me at googling find it
-Have someone send me the 7.0 installer via email, AIM, a server, etc.
Can someone be my hero?

Cannot Download Flash Trial Version

I click the Download button and nothing happens.
I have tried several different Macintosh computers, both using Safari and Firefox - with popups disabled.
I have tried Windows.

Flash Trial Version Locks Up
Hello,
I downloaded the trial version of Flash CS3 on to my Compaq laptop with Windows Vista...one of the lower end models that I have upgraded the processor on. When I run Flash, it locks up. That blue circle shows up and never goes away, and I have to do a Ctrl-Alt-Del. Not even on any real sophisticated animations...just basic ones. Recently, it locks up just loading the program. Can you tell me what the problem may be? I was considering buying Flash CS3, but if it isn't going to run correctly on my laptop, would I have a better chance buying an older version, say Flash 8?

At the end of Part 1: "Building a banner" tutorail from "Using Flash for the first time", "Testing your progress" doesn't work : a message tells thet the name is too long, whereas this name is "anner.fla", or the destination folder is locked, it's not the case.

I need to download Flash. I have a Mac on OS X 10.1. On the Adobe site, the only offer downloads for versions 10.2 and higher.
I really, really, really want Flash-- I love it, it's my best friend! and I'm completely new to Macs-- I've always only used PCs, and now I've purchased a used Mac which is great, but naturally all of my software from the PC isn't useable on it.
Long story short, someone has to know a place where I can download an older version of Flash that will work with my system.
...and no, i'm not advocating illegal downloads, of course not! i'd be willing to settle for a trial version lol or.. at extreme pressure, purchase it...

Flash Decompiler Trial Version...
Does anyone know of a good flash decompiler trial version that have no restriction on decompiling? Like no restriction limit to 2 actionscript, 2 shapes, etc... How can I do the evaluation and recompiling it to see how well it do if there's some restriction. I'm not going to buy $50 or $75 to find out how well it work or not becuase chance are some of the decompiler software don't work too well.

Need To Find Trial Version For An Older Flash:
Does anybody know if there's still a way to download versions of Flash that are a bit older than the most recent generation?
I need a trial version of 8. It's giving me all kinds of trouble because alot of the links I'll find that say they'll take me to things about downloading 8 or getting to use a trial version of 8 then turn around and redirect me over to CS3.
Is it a hopeless cause? I hope it isn't because I really need some help on that.
If there isn't a way to download Flash Professional 8 still... I wonder if there's some place I could buy it at still?
I've been to stores where they were clearing the last few out and were hauling in inventories of the newer version but for somebody with a Pentium III processor x86
& With Windows 2000 professional I'm sort of up a creek without a paddle and could really use some help.
What should I do?

Script Not Working In Flash 8 Trial Version
Hi
I tried this simple script in the trial version of Flash 8 which does not seem to be working. Can anyone please let me know what could possibly be the problem. When i used the same script in Flash MX 2004,it worked. However even after re-installing the trial version of Flash 8,it does not work. Basically this is what i made:
1) input text field with a variable name of :inputNum
2)dynamic text field with a variable name of :outputBool
3)made a button with an instance name : enter_btn
4)put this code in the actions layer:
enter_btn.onRelease=function(){
outputBool=(inputNum<100);
};
var inputNum:Number=0;
var outputBool:Boolean=true;
At the outset, it shows 0 in the 'inputNum' and the true in the 'outputBool'.However when i enter any number in the inputNum it shows 'undefined' in the outputBool. Why is that so? Would really appreciate an answer.

Flash CS3 Trial Version -> Dreamweaver 8 Won't Work Anymore
I recently installed the trial version of Flash CS3. It worked fine, but after the 30 day evaluation period, Dreamweaver 8, an app I've had installed for a few years now ceases to work. It loads up, then immediately crashes. Prior to that, both apps worked fine concurrently.
I uninstalled the Flash CS3 trial version. Still, Dreamweaver 8 crashes.
I found the CS3Clean Script, ran that, and Dreamweaver 8 still crashes.
I'm positive this has something to do with the 30 day evaluation period, because I was using Dreamweaver fine yesterday.
Any ideas on how I can fix this?
I've tried re-installing Dreamweaver along with the 8.0.2 update and still get the same results.
I have Flash 8 installed already, if that helps.

Trial Version
Hi,
I have downloaded a trial version yesterday, and I am trying to make a movie. Everything worked ok, until I arrrived the 6th scene - the pictures I used there are not displayed. I have made sure that they are enabled, and if I press 'show at the start of the movie' they are displayed. but in the scene where I use action show to display them they are not displaed...
DOes it have to do anything with the trial version? I also tried to move the last 3 scenes to a new movie (3 at each movie), but it didn't help. I tried to export the movie, but the html behaved even worse - only the first scene was presented and then just bits and peaces

My Trial Version Crashes
Hi,
Everytime I import sound files into the library my trial version of Flash crashes.
Is it possible to complete a project in the trial version or is it just for learning?
I am just learning at the mo, but hoped to make a wee project within the 30 days. Now I've only got 12 days left...

My Trial Version Has Stopped Working
Not that I am pissed with Macromedia but I think that if they have an issue with virus software and the installs of their 30 day trials they should post it... I installed this morn at 9:00am west coast time and had used the download for all of 10 mins when I had to leave to head to my next location... brought my laptop with me with the trail on it... and when I started the system back up the download told me it had expired... I know that we have Macromedia people on this board and would like them to tell me why their CS people (customer service) do not have the "tool" to fix this and also why something is not stated on the macromedia support site? I would really like a reply please... feel free to email me also...

Serial Number For Trial Version
my trial version of Flash gave me the an error message when starting up. I fixed the problem and had to reinstall, however now that I've got it back to the screen that is asking for my serial number I don't have it, does anyone know where I can get my serial number for the trial version? Did it get sent in an email or did I already blow it by not writing it down?

Trial Version Not Displaying Dynamic Text
I'm having a problem with the MX Trial Version. I'm trying to just show some good "old fashioned" dynamic text and it's not working. I've checked every last thing that I can think of and am just wondering if it's my computer if it's the MX Trial Version.
Anyone want to check this and see if they can find the problem? Thanks. (By the way, it's the same copy-and-pasted text field on white and black to show that the font color isn't the problem).

Hey I got a question...
My trial 30 days of flash 5 have been over now for quite some time. So I decided I'd delete all the flash 5 files I had on my hard drive and download the software again, to again get my 30 free trial days. But this didn't work. Somehow it still knows my 30 days were up once upon a time.
So my question is how do you get around the 30 day trial limit. I didn't get to quite test it out like I wanted to.

Flash Mx Trial...
i had the trial installed on my old box to play around a little while back, and have since built a new box. well, i tried to install mx again, forgetting about the trial (not limited version) and quickly found out it wouldn't work ("trial expired"). so, back to macromedia, download a fresh trial, and now it says the same thing "trial expired" so... does anyone know where in the registry i can remove the key that is stopping me from installing a new trial version. i'm sure macromedia isn't letting people download trial versions that are expired. i'm just playing around until i get the money together to buy it, and don't want to deal with any hack or crack crap. i just want the trial to work for a few more weeks on my new box, and then hopefully i'll have bought the full version by then.

Hi. I am currently switching computers, and am going to need to use Flash on another computer. I am only going to need it for about a week or two, so a Flash 8 trial would be ideal, since I only have a single license and can't use that on my other computer. So, I went to the Adobe website, but it looks like they do not offer the Flash 8 trial anymore, just Flash CS3. Since I have no plans of switching from F8 to CS3 yet, can someone point me to the direction of the Flash 8 trial?

I was working on a template for someone who I was doing some web design for. I don't do a ton of web design and they wanted to use a flash template, so although I knew it wasn't a great option I went ahead with it and downloaded the trial knowing that I wasn't going to be doing much flash work and would only need 30 days to get it done. I don't really see myself using flash or really doing a ton of web design work in the future because I am busy with a real job now that invovles other things. It's just the top menu which is flash. Well... After some help from people here, etc... I got most of the things done, but I was under the wrong impression that the trial would only count a day if I opened it that day, well that wasn't the case. So I wasn't able to finish the flash portion. Not knowing what to do, but needing to finish it I tried downloading the flash trial onto my wife's computer. However, when I download it onto her computer is says "a problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe Flash CS3 Professional. Click quit to see if restarting your computer or reinstalling the software fixes this problem. Otherwise, clikc Continue to display a screen where you can enter a valid serial number to begin using the product without the trial." So now I'm kind of stuck. I only have a few small things to change on the flash site so it's not really worth it to buy the flash just to finish one small template. However, the person who I'm building the website for wants it done. Anyone have any ideas? I don't even know if the project is big enough or if it's worth it to try and hire someone. Is There Any Way To Download A Trial Of Flash 8?
I'm on windows 2000 and Flash CS3 doesn't work with my OS. I know Flash 8 Professional does, but I would like to try it out before shelling out $700 for the full version. However, the free trial for 8.0 doen't seem to be available for download anymore.

Message is something about "close Internet Explorer" and try again. I currently have no occurences of Internet Explorer and still get the same message.

Flash CS4 Trial Failed
After downloading and installing Flash Pro CS4 I got to use it only a couple days for a couple hours each day. Now the trial software won't open. I get a box telling me options of trial or register. I click the trial option and the next box states "Problem with the trial." The software wants me to buy and register even though I have gotten no trial period other than a few hours. Is this normal. Is there any solution to regain my trial period or is the the typical Adobe tactic of their trial softwares?
Also, the Adobe site won't allow me to download any other trial softwares such as Dreamweaver. I am new to Adobe site and have never tried any of their software before.
There is no support for anyone other than paid customers so if you know something, I'd appreciate any assistance.
