I would like to have the image in a flash animation (with same dimensions) with some cool effects added to it. Some kind of shiny-swipe through the letters would be great (that loop forever with pause of course, not just one swipe), and a couple "sparkles"/"stars" that just glow on and off in random spots on the 4 bars behind the logo. And whatever else that will look cool.

Book Request: Flash Effects?
Hey, a few days ago I received my brand new Flash MX Actionscripting: Advanced Training from the Source book from Amazon. I love the thing, its awesome and Im learning so much.
My question today ...ya i know I post a lot .... is, what book would you recommend for learning some Flash effects?
Im making a lot by myself, but I think it would be neat to get a book that has a reference of a whole bunch of them, maybe some I never thought of doing.
Any ideas, suggestions?

Flash Image Panning Request
Hello,
I was curious if someone would know how to create a image pan for multiple images with links that glow when you rollover them. Basically, I need help creating a side-scrolling image pan with glowing links as shown here at logitech.com (the section under explore). The only thing that is different from this and what I need is the speed (a little faster would be great! ) I have looked through this site and found this tutorial; quite similar but not exact. I need something with side buttons that make it move, not just by moving your mouse over it. Also, I would like to have alternative text included in the glowing image rollover. Any help is greatly appriciated. However I am fairly new at Flash and scripting and do not know a great deal about them. Please try to keep it in simplest form so i can understand it. Flash Image Request Halts Server
I have a flash gallery application that preloads a bunch of images. A client went through them, opening and closing quickly, and produced an error I have never seen before.
It seems that closing a browser window between the time that flash requests an image (loadMovie), and the time its displayed causes the domain (not the server, oddly enough) to become unreachable until the user shuts down the browser completely.
Has anyone encountered this error, or an incarnation of it, or have any suggestion as to what I can do, or am doing wrong.
Let me know if you need me to be more specific, or provide examples.

Is there a tutorial somewhere out there or another resource perhaps, that discusses image effects in Flash such as blurring part of an image or distorting the shape, etc.?
Image Distorting When Motion Tween Added **help**
I'm working in professional 8 and in this new project I'm doing I'm having this problem. When I add a motion twean to an image (png or jpg) it then becomes distrorted, looks like its sort of smashed ... off a few pixels here and there. When I take off the motion tween it looks fine.
Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

i would like the image to be in the center and the thumnails at the right side in rectangular shape one under the other and 2 arrows pointing up and down "one of them on top of the thumnails and the other one underneeth of the thumnails pointing downword" for the viewer to scroll down or up the thumnails..

Math Help, Weight Added To "throw" An Image.
Hello,
I am trying to acheive the following effect and need some help getting the math down.
I have a 360 degree panoramic photo. I set it so that you can drag the photo left or right to appear as though it will keep spinning around.
Right now i am using an onMouseMove to move the photo relative to the _xmouse.
I would like to add a function that will give the photos weight, so the mouse can kind of throw the image.
so, when you drag the image and let go, it has weight and will slow down gradually as though the pictures was slid accross the screen. Thanks for any help. i have seen throw ball codes that are probably similar, but couldn't get them to work with this applications.

Hello everyone
Over the last few weeks I have seen many sites that have images which have nice looking effects, I’m not sure what the name for this is but I’ll give the description a try.
The image goes to a silver – white colour much like it would if it was on a TV with very bad reception. Then it also becomes a bit discoloured and distorted (this would usually last 2-5 seconds or so) Than its just displayed normally, or it might flash like lightning several times each 30 seconds.. I was wondering if anybody knew how I can add these effects (or similar) to my images which i plan on using in my flash project, or maybe a link to some tuts involving this.
any help would be very much appreciated!

Does anyone know of any good image effects that can be created with flash mx and photoshop?
One that comes off the top of my head is having an image be drawn in with an outline, then having it fill in with white and then have the full colour image fade in. Another is this one = http://www.layoutgalaxy.com/html/htm...er52-page1.htm although this is more of a transition effect.
Do you have any ideas or good examples? I am creating banners for our new site and I am looking for creative ways to have pictures appear and dissapear.

I would like to know how I can create effects that I have seen against photographs or images. They appear to have a blur or gray transparent window that glides across the image using Flash. Then the image is fully displayed in color, after the bar passes. I only found a similar example below.
Exmaple 1: This site uses a frosted type of glass on the bottom portion of the banner image. The rest of the site appears to use different types of blurring and transparency effects on top of the images. http://www.westonfl.org/interface_fr.htm

I have 1 movie in which there are 20 images.They appear from left to right.Their size is set so that 5 images fit the page.

Hey up all!
Im doing a site for a hotel and Ive got loads of great images to use. Im gonna be loading in them randomly on the home page, but rather than just have them pop straight in or fade in from Alpha 0 to 100, I wanna do something a bit more unusual/different to make them appear.

a picture and menu comes from right to left ,, and stops in de middle,
there we are at the home page , 3 menu botons (who we are ,menu ,shops )
i need that being at home page when de user press "shops" the picture and menus reverse their entrance and leaves ,,,the same way it came , so the page "shops" also enters from right to left ,, ok now we are on shop page , then if the user press "menu" shop page leaves the same way it came and "menu page " enters ,, all the same way on & on & on ..
i have being looking for a miracle function (reverse play) that seems does not exist ,,,

Interface For Advanced Effects On An Image
Is there any way to replicate the 'Advanced Effects' pallette's functions through a flash interface using MX?
I want to create an interface where it will allow a user to create high contrasting colors of an IMAGE. Using the color object everything is going to a solid color - Although, I have been able to create a Negative of an image, I would just like to make it more dynamic.
Just wondering if there is any undocumented AS that will allow me to do this.

Give me some clue or site on how to do this, i dont need anything spactaculer just simeple effect..

Image Manipulation Produce Special Effects
I realy dont get whole picture how others out there doing sometning that is so good for the eyes. These special image manipulation effects is sometnihg that i never try within flash.
Point out good url, tutorials, description how to do, etc... i didnt find much on FK. What else is possible to do with static image.jpg when is in flash.

Importing Images From After Effects - Image Size Changes
Hi,
When I import an image sequence (or single image) from AE the png files import HUGE -- an 800 x 547 image imports as a 2267712.0 x 1550548.1 image.
These images open correctly in Photoshop and Fireworks only Flash seems to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
