Flash :: Saving From Flash, For Online Banner Design App

Help With Flash Banner Design
I am trying to create a flash banner ad that loads when a page loads and gives the user the option to minimize it. When the ad is minimized, I wanted to leave a box (that could also function as a mini version of the larger ad)that could be clicked and reload the ad if desired.

I have been struggling with how to do this. I tried creating two movies, one for the main ad and one for the smaller box that remains after the ad is minimized. I inserted the object code for the larger ad into my html and it loads and will load the smaller ad then the button (for minimizing the ad) is clicked but the smaller ad loads in the area defined by the object code for the larger ad. I am not sure how to work around this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

hello everyone!

I have a nasty problem: the flash banner I designed doesn't perform the way it should. Once customers are clicking on it, it doesn't take them to the url. Is there a setting in Flash which needs to be "on" or action script? The banners are part of some networks I have no idea about. Please advise something!

Looking For Flash App To Allow People To Design Things Online
I'm trying to locate a particular type of flash application. It can be best described as something that would allow a person to upload an image to the app and then have the ability to sort of make a design with the photo and by adding text.

I believe i might have seen some people in the print industry do something similar and they called it 'design online' or something of that nature.

Has anyone seen something similar to this which can be purchased (or know of someone who makes it)? I'd appreciate any help!

Saving A File Online Using Flash
I just need to know if this is possible. I work for a printing company that specialises in printing of notepads. I want customers to be able to come to our website and design there own notepads with preset images and templates.

The question I have is, would it be possible to create something in flash with images and text and save the notepad to a file and have it emailed to me. Preferebly something I can work with like a JPEG or PDF.

Saving Data W/ Flash Online (other Then Cookies)
Ok here's what I want to do. I don't know how complicated this is but here's the idea. How would I say allow any user (maybe limit it eventually, not important now), to modify the content of an input box within an online flash document. And then save whatever they right to the input box so that any other user can view it when they view that site. I know users can locally save stuff with cookies but actually doing it so that's it's fairly indestructible and that other's can view it even when someone clears their cookies... I know that can't be simple , but any information on how to approach this would be greatly appreciated if it is even possible .

Banner Design
I am looking to create a banner with images that fade in and out. The problem that I have is that I only want the banner to load once. I am using pure HTML to code to the page and just include the flash swf file in the specific file eg index.html. I don't want to create the entire site in Flash, only the banner.

Am I going about this the wrong way? Is there an easier method?

I've just finished up www.Design-Online.com Go check out the Designer. Its some of the most complex flash you'll ever see with currently 23,242 bytes of Actionscript.

Flash Kit was a great resource for this project and some of the things i was stuck on i learned how to do though this board.

Need 'Online T-shirt Design Script'
I'm looking for anyone who has scripted a 'Design Your Own T-shirt' module. I don't actually sell t-shirts so I don't need a t-shirt product backend. I sell t-shirt art and I want to give my site guests a way to create their own designs using my art. They would need to drag/drop/resize/skew/choose color outline/choose color fill and adjust the stroke thickness. They would also need to enter text and do all the previous mentioned manipulations as well as 'text arching'.
Hopefully one of you have worked on something like this or know someone who has. I will pay for your services, of course.

i have made a banner, and when i execute from flash with cltr+enter, it works, it shows some data from an xml(that is on internet). If i put this flash in an html, and put it on a server, it don't shows anything.

using a text file called link.txt file to pull in the text, it is supposed to allow the user to edit the text online then save it down into the text file.

when save is clicked the following action is triggered;

What's The Best Practice For Saving Swf Banner Ads?
Hi

Does anyone have some advice on the best practice for saving swf banner ads. I've created banners before and saved the swfs out at FlashPlayer 6, but for the latest banners I've used Fuse Kit which, in version 6, doesn't support some of it's features. It looks like I'll have to save out to version 8, but is this frowned upon from a user point of view?

Does anyone have any stats showing percentages of the different versions people use online?

Hi, I'm currently doing the flash tutorial that has three parts to creating a banner. I do exactly as the tutorial does, but I can't get the URL to open up. Everything is exactly the same as the banner, I even copied and pasted the banner and actionscript into my file from the tutorial example, but it still doesn't work.

This may sound like a really dumb question, but I'm new to flash web design and I'm curious how I would go about creating pages with links. A little new to the flash scene, I've been reading the post and trying the things posted here out! I feel its better to learn than just ask all the time! One thing that I can't come across here is what is the BEST method or software for designing flash (Intro's, menus, interfaces etc..)? Right now I've been using Swift3d for my words and letters, but what is good for making intro's so that they don't take up a lot of bandwidth?

3D Flash Design?

Flash Design Help..
I have recently begun learning Flash MX 2004, and after accomplishing several tasks, would like some advice on how best to design a system. I have learnt how to use recordsets from external data sources, as well as using buttons, and enabling drag drop etc. However the system I require would involve dynamically loading buttons based on dynamic data retrieved from a database. This I am unaware how to achieve? To clarify, I want to interrogate a database, and then load a button onto the page (labelling the button with a piece of text from the record) for every record in the recordset I have returned.

Any help or pointers would be very much appreciated.

Hey guys...been awhile since I've been on here, but I have a question.
If I was to create something in Flash that someone wanted to buy (only a little 30 second deal) to put on a website, etc....is there anything I can do to make sure they don't turn around and give it to another 100 people or whatever?
I'm assuming there's nothing I can do, but I'm still curious.

New To Flash, Not Design
I have a clear picture of what I want to do. I am not too scared of action script. Skill in design, photoshop and video in general is not a real issue.

Here is the idea, followed by the questions.

A screen with several buttons. Beneath the buttons a looping video will play.
The buttons start videos that would play in the same window.

I plan on doing this in AS3

The questions

Seems like I need to be able to unload the video upon completion that played when a it's button was activated. Correct? Would that be with cue point/marker? The reason to unload would be to get back and reveal the controller screen with the buttons?

Related to the previous question. Rather than downloading all the videos (there could be 10) they should be loaded when needed, correct?

Ifso, from a design point of view, if someone did not want to watch the video all the way through, there should be a button on the playing video to give the m the option to close and return to the controller screen.
