Security For Websites?
Does anyone know where I can find a company that will set up a secure section on my company website (preferably with high level security)?
This can be like a simple log in section that requires a username and/or password. This doesn't have to be done in flash either.
Any leads would be more than appreciated....

Pop-Up Websites......
Does anyone know how to make a swf file pop-up without pulling up inside the broswer. If so, I would also like to know how to personalize the swf file so my name is embedded at the top. A perfect example of what I am talking about is the pop-up website version at http://www.flashguy.de (a site that was displayed in the Flash 5 site check section).
Any help would be more than helpful in my journey to perfectionism........

question:
a lot of websites look slick but are predominantly html w/ a bit of Flash in the corner or say on the menus or something.
Is it still possible to design a html site using Flash as the graphics package, if that makes sense?
or is that a pointless thing to do because it is still a Flash file and so takes up meaningless space when it could just be a FrontPage?

Hey,
Put simply, all i want to do is be able to make flash websites, the closest i got was making bottons that had actions that went to a certain fram and played that part then stopped, you would go back to the frist frame and continue that.
Then i talked to a person and he said that his entire movie was one frame filled with movie clips, could someone please tell me how this works?

Preloaders For Websites
I know nothing about preloaders and just tried a tutorial but failed badly. I think its because the tutorial was based on movies and not website animations.
I am wanting to create a simple preloader which loads my navigation bar. (the whole thing is a flash .swf file and is about 300k)

At the moment I have my preloader in with my external swf's....but for some reason when these are loaded into my main movieHolder they don't preload ..they just play as normal ??

Websites With Dreamweaver Help
I am having a problem with my site which is already on the internet. it works fine in flash but once i put it up using dreamweaver, every movie dosent play until it is completely loaded. Usually, they will play and the pre-loader will come in but now it is just blank until it is finished.

Ebedding Swf Into Websites
Ok, I am new to flash, but not new to embedding html on a wab page. Anyway I cant get the swf files to work. So i was wondering if anyone can post the html code to do this. I have searched, but the couple that i found 1 did not work at all,, and the other would not size my swf correctly when viewed on my site. I believe I am doing it correctly. Upload the SWF file to the page it will be viewd, then simply embed the html code. I do change the parameters of the code so width and hieghth match the swf file, and ofcourse make sure tha name mathes my file. what am i doing wrong? I would appreciate any help. would also like the html for flash5, if you know forsure it works. Thanks,

Flash For Websites
I know the basics of flash. Ive done many "noob" tutorials in my time, but i wanna get into flash web design now.
I mostly do my graphics in photoshop and get someone else to code it, i hate doing this becuase its hard to explain exactly what i want the coder to do so i wanna be able to make my sites in flash.
2 Questions: Firstly, is it possible to do my graphics like i do in photoshop and somehow animate it all in flash?
Secondly: I have no clue how to make a website in flash, like, how links work and such, is there any tutorials out there which actually give instuctions on making a really simple site in flash with like a couple random links? just so i can get "jist" of what on earth it invovles.

I am designing a website for a Fire Department supply company and what I am trying to do is eluding me. This company is a reseller through another company. Well I am trying to access their Spec-A-Truck site, but display it on a portion of the site I am working on. Is there a way to load an external website into a flash website? Constraining Websites
I'm intereted in showing JPG images in a flash based website. But anytime I load the finished website to the web, depending on the computer and the moniter size, the vissable size of the site will always change. Thus (if made larger) making the JPGS look blotchy and pixilated.
You can do it manually by simply shrinking or increasing the browser size.
Is there any way to keep the website the intended pixel size without it automatically shrinking or enlarging to fit the viewers window?
(I just read the thread concerning pop ups and new windows that also mentions writing in Java but I'd rather have it all contained in the .swf file if possiable)

Hi all
Ive scanned most of Flash Kit tuts and can not find much help for a noobie.
I've read the book "Macromedia Flash MX fast & easy web development"
But never touched any web building.
Can someone direct me to making a website with Flash MX 2004 please.

Websites In Flash.
Hello, my name is Andrew. I'm fifteen, and have taken a web design class over the past school year. I only learned HTML and some advanced picture editing. A waste of my time, in that time i could of learned PHP, perl, javascript, XHTML, HTML, Dhtml, and other languages. Anways, I want to venture into flash-based web design. I have a couple references, but was really wondering if you guys have any really good ones for a new person in flash.
Heres what I want to know and request references to:
1. Basic web design in flash
2. Ways to update the website in "live" time. (I don't have to modify the flash file, just a text or XML file.)
3. Maybe an example file that I could like

Looking For 3d Flash Websites
A while ago, I saw a website that was in a gas station, made entirely in 3d. When you clicked on different parts of the website, it would zoom in to another section etc..
Also there was one that was a desk(made in 3d) and you could manipulate objects in the desk.

Flash Websites - Where To Look 4 Help
I am a web and graphic designer (www.jeti.com.au). I normally use Dreamweaver but am trying to build a site in Flash. I have a copy of "Buliding Flash Websites for Dummies" but it is turning out to be pretty useless. I'd love to find another comprensive resource.
Things I'm currenly trying to work out include:
Making a horizontal scroll bar.
Understanding how to split my site up into separate URLS (for each page)
Making hyperlinks that change colour on rollover.
Whether I need to use CSS if all of my text is static, and if so how to do this.
I'm sure there will be other issues as I proceed too.
Any online or hard copy resources you could recommend would really be appreciated.

Hi all im quite new to the webdesign world and i am looking for some info. Can't Use Flash Websites
My child cannot play any games on disney or polly pockets website because it says we do not have flash. I downloaded flash, cleaned all the cache, and history and tried again. No luck. When I go to program files, I could not find where the program downloaded. When I went to the MM site to download flash, it says I have the software. Please help if you know what I have done wrong.

for some reason i can't get pages with flash, such as www.rr.com to load. i've reloaded flash and did ever check and repair i can but nothing seems to work. i even reset the IE setings. new computer as of a week ago and worked fine, then i set up a home network and now no flash pages. help?
