This is a very heavy flash 6 movie. After clicking the enter button, the movie will disapear or sometimes the movie is draggable. When I hit the re-fresh button though, it works just fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

I know that there is a group for this but I felt kinda discouraged after looking at some of the sites in that forum. I'm working on this for my car club and I'm beginning to think that I'm doing some stuff bassackwards. It takes quite a while to load and I was wondering if someone could take a look at the fla and see what's up with it.

Mainly what I'm looking for is how to make the site faster and work on navigation. I think you should be able to tell what I'm trying to do. I think I'm confused about how to get each MC to load through the "buttons." Sometimes when I load a MC the previous MC stays loaded also... and ideas?

Hi,

I was wondering if some users with PC could check my site. I have a mac and with ns and IE everything is ok. But at work I have PCs and in some cases looks ok but on some other PCs the top and bottom of the swf is cut off. I have no idea why that is so. I don't know much about the PCs so I don't know what could be the reason.

I used Front Page for a while. Then I decided to switch over to Flash. At this present time, I'm using Flash MX.

The site that I'm linking you to is the FIRST complete flash site that I've posted.

Most of the script and design was developed by me. Some templates were taken from the Flashkit site and altered to suit my needs.

I've been told that this site is throwing an error when visited on a mac.

It's playing alright on my mac, but I tested it on my PC laptop and it simply wouldn't fully load at first. I tried refreshing, but no dice. Then, I emptied my cache, restarted my browser, and all's better. I was hoping some folks could take a look and let me know if it's having any issue getting past the initial loading logo screen.

Also if you go to my portfolio page and click on commercials my stuff is running kind of slow. Can you tell from looking at the site why it would be running slow. I exported them from quicktime as an .flv and they are remotely loaded from my site. So I don't understand why they are choppy and slow.

Hey guys can some of you guys check this test site out. I have been building it on a PC but when I checked it on my Mac power book it was so much slower. And users for this site are mostly Mac users. This is pissing me off so much.
Because its a test site I have to give you instructions.
Go to where it says menu then rollover one of the colored squares, click on directors then rollover the directors in the couch. On a PC the fade up really fast on a Mac its slow then click one of them the movement here is meant to be fast with motin blur behind them it looks great on the PC but on the MAC its not even funny how fuuck***ing slow. Does this happen to anyone else I have had it happen so much, but this time because I can see it in the PC and MAc at the same time it runns slower. What can I do about this. TEST SITE

I've had my site up for a while now and just had someone tell me that it's not centered in the window, that you have to scroll down to see the flash movie. I think they were using AOL as a browser though. I used CSS to center the flash file.

Just wondering you could visit my site and tell me if it's centered both vertically and horizontally in the window. Also, what browser you're using.

I have recently completed 2 sites. Both of these sites are completely functional on my computer and on my server when I view them. They were both made with Flahs mx completely and are displayed in an html window. However...
when some people have viewed it from other computers, on other operating systems, and on other browsers thay have all claimed some difficulty at one point or another that I do not experience.
Is it common that a mac computer or someone viewing the site through netscape might get a problem or two when viewing my flash site. Is there somthing I might be doing wrong. Can you check out my sites for me and let me know if you are experiencing any problems.

Hello all,

I created this site a while ago, it was my first paying full flash site.

the client is having a strange problem that I have only been able to replicate on one other machine that I have used (out of like 20-30 machines)...

What is happening is that they load the site.... it says "Done" but nothing is there... just white screen. I thought it had to do with the version of Flash that they had, but I recently input a Flash Detection Script and they are still having the same problem.

Can someone please help me. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out. They are using Windows XP and they are newer machines so I'm certain they have SP2... Either way, it doesn;t make sense to me.

Hey, I was looking at this Flash site for a new TV show, www.chuckssecret.com, and I have a few pretty basic questions about this site! First, how did they make the icons draggable and clickable (always wondered how to do that) and also, the graphics (such as the laptop and XBox controller)...are they the real things, freely drawn in Flash, or did they use Trace Bitmap or something? Also, when you put your mouse over one of those particles, i line comes out and links to the inside of the brain in the pic. But how do you make the line ALWAYS go to that point of the head when the particles are moving around randomly?

Hi,
I'd like to get some of you to look at a site I've been working on, to get an idea of load time and how the images look on different screens/resolutions.
The "Merchant" button will eventually go to an online Miva Merchant store that I'm struggling with!
I'm also working on the HTML version and am trying to figure out how I would direct users to it. I thought about using JavaScript to check for the Flash plugin but I think that some users with the plugin and a slow connection would rather view HTML. Any input on this would be appreciated.
