Swift 3D Animation --> Flash MX
Okay, well I made this thing in swift that rotates (triangle) and on each side of the triangle it has a letter. What I WANT to happen is bring it into flash and have flash detect when the mouse is over a certain letter, then load the corresponding content when the mouse is over the letter/side of triangle.

can someone tell me that if i was making a 3d stick figure in swift 3d how can i draw the eyes on the sticks face so then the eyes look 3d aswell? or do i make the 3d stick animation first then goto flash mx and draw the eyes in on the frames that the 3d stick animation goes onto.?????

Hi, I've been working in Director with the 3D stuff for some time now. I really need a quick answer on swift 3D or 3D symbols in Flash as I'm not a Flash expert. Can you code 3D symbols like you can in Director i.e change the textures etc?

Hi everyone, I recently got Flash 8 and I import just the outlines of an animation from Swift 3D and when I preview it in Flash there's a message: WARNING: This movie uses features that are not supported in the Flash 6 player
Symbol=header_animated, layer=Layer 1, frame=1:Enhanced stroke is not supported in this player.
I'm exporting for Flash6. I've used the same procedure with FlashMX and I've never had any problems. I hope it's not a vague explanation. Thank you in advance.

Swift 3D And Flash MX = GAME?
Hey there, I'm thinking about making a game.... but this time, a 3D game in Flash MX.... so I was wondering if it would be possible to do this using Swift 3D with Flash MX...
Idea is....
There's a 3D object (a ship or a car or something else) then when I press a key on the keyboard, it will be able to jump or do something else... much like a real 3D game that we have on PCs.

What Is Flash Doing To My Swift 3d Movies?
i've got imported (vector) swft files from Swift 3D. they look great when working in flash. When i publish/test movie they look like garbarge (in the .swf).
I've checked every conceivable option and can't figure out why i'm getting a jagged looking piece of crap in my final .swf when the actual animation's vector graphics look very clean and crisp in flash...
anyone experienced this?

Swift 3d Plugin For Flash?
Hey, I got a copy of Swift 3D which comes with a 3D Plugin for Flash. I also own Flash MX 2004, but I can't get the Plugin to work. When I installed Swift 3D, I installed the plugin part to my folder .../Macromedia/Flash MX 2004/First Run/Importers but when I start Flash it doesn't seem to detect it. Does anyone have any ideas?
Inserting Swift 2 Into Flash Movies
Why hello all you flash experts, here is my problem, I can insert my text made from Swift 2 into my flash movie, but it inserts it in such a manner where I cant move it to a certain position in my movie...like, if it inserts it in the top left corner, and I want it in the bottom right, I cant move it. It puts it in like 40 different keyframes, with each letter as a symbol, and I cant move them all and get them just right by hand....WHAT DO I DO, HELP ME PLEASE!

Swift 3D Version 5 Flash Plug-in?
Hey all...I am contemplating purchasing Swift 3D Xpress because it's a Flash 3D Extension/Plug-in. BUT...The full version of Swift 3D version 5 is only like $100 more so I would like to get that. But, I am only going to get the full Swift 3D 5 if it comes with that Flash 3D extension/plug in.
Does anyone have Swift 3D 5 and does it come with that extension/plug-in??

Which Swift 3D?
I was at the official website of 3D swift and the erain web site checking out the different verisons of 3D swift. It was a little confusing with all the different versions. What is the best version to purchase Swift 3D version 2 or swift 3D Max or one of the several other versions? Or is there another product that you would recommend?

I did a search but considering that I know nothing (maybe less) for Flash I thought I better post the question. I downloaded the Flash player & everything. But I am just having a problem getting it to work. I put the swiftmp3.exe file into the same folder as the MP3 and then load the player.swf as well into the same folder. But after that - I do not know what I am supposed to do. I was successful in manually converting a MP3 into a SWF, but that was it. Any place where I could learn how to use this? I checked their web site but it referred me here. Thank you!

Hey, because I'm fairly new here, I'm not even sure if this is the right board to put this on, but here it goes...
Has anyone used this program? I was at the Electric Rain website, and several others which use the program, and I was very impressed with the 3D animation which could be made with it. I was wondering if anyone could attest to the usability and efficiency of the program. If it is as good and easy as they claim, I think it would be well worth its price...

I've downloaded Swift-Mp3 because I need it for an eqaliser that I'm using in a project.
Unfortunately, Swift-Mp3 truncates the song to 30 seconds (30 seconds from the start which I dont want). I have already (in a past version of this website) created the snippets and exported them in SWF format for people to listen to.
Now I want to know, what makes makes a Swift-MP3 file different to a Published SWF file from Flash MX when my settings are set to stream?
Can I not create a Swift-MP3 from within Flash MX?

What I want to know is how do people then manage to make whole scenes 3d (with swift 3d only), all that matrix stuff , camera pan, etc with images that they made in flash (e.g. a rotating stick figure that was obviously drawn in flash). But I simply don't know how to use it...
There is instructions in the read me file but that didn't help.
It says that i have to install the swift mp3, the open a MS DOS like window to proceed an convert my audio files into swf...
But when i double click the to install a breaf MS DOS like window appear only to disepear again and I'm stuck there.
Any help on how to proceed?

Swift 3D And Actionscript
I have the following 2 questions:
1. First of all, if all I want to do is to create a 3D logo and rotate it, is this not possible to do using Flash alone. Does Swift 3D make this task much easier??? and is it intuitive???
2. Secondly, when a swf file has been created in Swift 3D, How do you control it once it is loaded into a Flash movie. I mean can you start and stop it using actionscript as you would any other loaded movie.
The reason for these questions is that there is no demo available.

Trouble With Swift
Well this is my first post here. I'm a first year student in New Media and Design. So I'm a real newb is there ever was one. My problem is with Swift. I just got it and I've been going through the tutorials on the website.
I created some rotating 3D text and then imported it to Flash MX. Now here's the problem. How do I have the text to a different spot on the stage? When I move it, it only affects the first keyframe in the animation. Therefore the text jumps from one spot to another. So how do I move the 3D text while effecting all the keyframes at the same time?

Swift Question
I need help loading a swift(this part I can do) and getting it to load at a certain frame(this part I cannot do). I have a bunch of different information I want to group on one swift. The swift will then load to a certain frame depending on what button is pushed from the menu swift? I need a hint of where to look or how I am suppose to do this. I tried flashkit's tutorials and also tried finding something at the macromedia help page, but I don't even no where to begin the search.
It is time for the Flash guru's the shine and show off there intellectual powers.
