Flash :: Those Cool Little Icon Buttons?

I need help making a sort of side show. If you are going to help me 1st go to www.photobolsillo.com and select Perez Siquier Carlos.
I want my slideshow to have little buttons like he has under the pictures, and I also want to have the pictures appear in the same area every single time. Also, I dont want to have to click on the box every time i wanna switch a fame. You guys are experts on this sort of stuff. Help me out.

Getting Rid Of The Hand Icon On Buttons
Is it possible to have it so that the hand icon doesn't appear when you hover over a button?

Hi,

I've tried everything I can think of but can't seem to get further.

Basically, I have a button which has a normal state, no change on the rollover (rollover is the same as normal state) and a down state in which the icon does change.

Basically I want to make it like an icon where its got its normal state, doesn't change when you rollover but you can 'select' it when clicking on it so it gives you a different image as it were and then you double click to run the action or click outside its 'Hit' area and it returns to the normal state.

Ok i'll try and explain better...

An icon style button.
Normal State
Rollover State = Normal State
Down State = Change to Icon

When on down state and mouse is released it remains on down state unless the user clicks outside the 'Hit' region. Then a double click wither on the down or normal state will execute the action.

[CS3] Proper Way To Make 'icon Buttons'?
What is the 'proper' way to make clickable icons using as3.0? Or any button with a graphic for that matter? Should you just create an abstract 'button class' with a 'setImage()' method? I wonder with a approach like that, is there anyway to set the images form the properties panel at the bottom of the gui interface (so you dont have to clutter your actionscript)?

How do some places like http://theory7.com have it show when you click a button the button changes to show you are on that page, like at that site it turns yellow when you click it.

A second thing I'm trying to figure out from that site is hwo they make it look like the button is being clicked. Would it be two different images??

HOW CAN I MAKE THESE COOL BUTTONS ?
i just like to know how can i make a bitton like 2advanced and widegroup and others .. ( a movie clip when the mouse is over it and another movie clip when rolling out )
i made on by creating a movie clip then create a button in the first frame and another button in the second
frame and a button in the third frame.. i added the action script and it works.. but when i try to make it goes to another scene it doesnt it just can go to another movie

How Do You Make Cool Buttons?
I went through beginner tutorial that shows how to make a button with a movie clip. Create a Roll Over tween, a Stop Tween, and a Roll Out Tween.

What about when the user clicks on the button? I don't want it to go back to the normal state. I want it to stay highlighted until the user clicks a different button.

How do you do that?

Also, are most people using action script to make buttons move or are they using the timeline to make there own movie clip buttons? Thanks.

I want to create an embedded audio file as a swf file. On the page, you would see a series of stop, start, and volume buttons. I want to be able to add my own buttons that I create in Photoshop as the player buttons. I have the buttons, I have the mp3 file as well as the swf file. How do I create one of those cool players that you see on websites with audio?

What is this icon... it keeps coming up all over the screen... I cant get rid of it... no matter what tool I'm on, it doesnt disappear.

I downloaded some windows xp icons from the net. When I import them into flash, I want to remove the background of those icons which is usually white with scan lines, so that when I use them on top of my own background it will not appear as a square patch. I want it to appear as regular desktop icons which doesn't have any background patch. I used some image image editor to remove the background. It is not very effective. Can somebody suggest how to do it with either paintshop pro or adobe photodeluxe, please? Can I remove the background layer and copy only the foreground layer where the icon is?

Looking For Icon Set...
hy people, i need an icon set to complet what i have(see attached file). These 3 ar part of a set that i lost, and i used them in a site that i have to re-do now and i need to add some icons.

it doesnt have to be the same set, but that looks similar. I would need something really simple like this icons are.

This is something I should know how to do for sure but I don’t want to risk messing about and having to reinstall.

I have had MX on this machine since it was released but for some reason the SWF’s show up as the Flash 5 icons still.

Can someone tell me how to associate the swf’s with the MX icon please.

I'm using Flash effects in my PowerPoint college government lessons before converting entirely to Flash.

I need an icon to indicate on any particular slide that there is a related sound file available. Accordingly, I'm looking for a flash effect that suggests sound (speaker, equalizer, even musical note f/x's). I'm also willing to purchase a good one. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Hi there, just wondering if anyone has made icons for a Mac.
I have just made a projecter that works cross platform, and want to put the Icon on the CD for a Mac. I want the icon to have a transparent background, this is the bit that I am not sure of. I know about apple I then just paste in the icon area but how do you paste something with a transparency.

Guys... I develop this amazing flash movie for an interactive cd. The client has his heart set on having that icon on the cd when he pops it in. I know how to manipulate the autorun.inf to do that (icon=stupid.ico)
But, how do I make his logo into an icon? and what are the sizes?

i've noticed that at a lot of pages lately, the browser displays an icon that is like a mini-logo for whoever the site is for...

Or at least in Opera it does.. For example, if i go to www.macromedia.com, a little macromedia M is displayed to the left of the title.

Any info on this phenomenon, how to do it, and what browsers it works for?
