Right now this word flips down vertically, but does so in a somewhat slanted fashion. Is there a way to make this word flip vertically so that it appears to be flipping straight down rather than in this slanted manner?

hi to all
i have a movieclip (rectangle converted into symbol) then i add a uiloader to it and load dynamic image to uiloader at runtime then i have two buttons.
flip horizantol button and flip vertical button. both works fine but after flipping the x and y position of movieclip changes when i view the flipped image to next frame it moves to left if i flipped vertical and moves to upside if i flipped horizontal.. how can i change the flipped movieclips x and y to original x and y of unflipped movieclip?

Flip Vertical
Is it possible to flip a letter vertical, as in a full 360degree flip.
If you type a T and create a new keyframe at frame 20 and then another one at frame 10. Now on frame 10, you can click modify, transform, flip vertical. However, from frame 10 to frame 20, it reverts back to the original position. It does not continue to flip.

Vertical Page Flip
I've seen a lot of examples on page flipping, and they appear to be too complicated for what I want. I don't necessarily need an actionscript- driven page flipping engine with dragging and all that.
I'm just having a bit of trouble visualizing how a vertical page flip would look like (assume the spiral is on top of a notebook) because of the whole non-existent z-axis thing.
The functionality that triggers the animation is simple. Click on a button, the page flips vertically and goes 'behind' the notebook.
Has anyone tried this, or has seen anything like it? Can anyone point me in a direction regarding particular animation techniques to achieve this effect?

Rotating A Movieclip To Flip Vertical
Imagine the movie clip is a business card. The text and images are dynamic
I want to 'flip the card' (bring the top of the card towards me and the bottom away) to rotate the card around to see the back of the card

Pixelwit Page Flip - CLICK To Flip Instead Of Drag
I love pixelwit's page flip script, but I'm hoping someone could teach me how to modify it so that instead of having to drag the page across the screen, the user only has to click the corner of the page in order to get the page to turn.

Piece Of Paper Flip, Not Page Flip In A Book
Could any body direct me to a tutorial or just give me advice on how to go about doing this: i want to make a letter come out of a envelope and flip around and then show what is on it, i am not sure how to create the paper flipping around , i did see some page flip tuturoials but i dont think that is what i want technically, any help will be greatly appriecated, thx

This page loads fine, the page flips....
Then click the weddings link, engagements link, or bridals link. (either one will work)
On either of these pages click on the albums link, this will take you back to the wedding albums page.
Here's the problem:
On the revisit of the albums page, the page won't flip.
I can't figure out why.

Flip Effect - NOT PAGE FLIP
I've searched for tutorials on this but I can't seem to find anything on how to create simple flip effects. I'm not sure if it's some other program than flash or just someone with awesome animation skills - here are a few pages I found on Monster that has this effect.

How Do I Flip This?
Hi all,
In my quest to learn how to use flash I find myself needing to flip a rectangular shape.
Its a menu Interface and when activated it hopefully will spin horizontally from top to bottom untill it gets to the desired spot.
Firstly can I do this?
And secondly How?
Ive tried a short of horizontal shrink to the center and motion tweened it back and this looks ok but is not a spinning filp.
Im not sure how practical this effect will be for file size etc, but I would like to know how to do this now its in mind!! You know what its like im sure!
Anyway I will puddle away and give thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Flip All The Way
Hey, very stupid question here.
I'm trying to make an object flip all the way. The way I tried was a keyframe on frame 1, another on frame 10 and another on frame 20.
In keyframe 10 i flipped the object horizontaly.
Then I made a motion tween between all the frames.
But now it just flips one way, and then it flips back.
Any help?

Is there any way to flip a movie clip over the y axis using actionscript? I'm making a street fighter type game and after the player moves past the computer, i want him to flip over and face him again...get it? Flip Bok
So I created this flip book to distribute as Windows Projector. My problem is that the end user has to zoom in to see the text. When the book opens it looks life a 'FitPage' in Adobe. So I need my end user to zoom in and actually be able to read the text. They can right-click and go to zoom in, but I would rather if there was a magnifying tool there or even a bar that I they could raise to zoom in and zoom out.
How can I get this done?

Flip Page WTF?
I stumbled on a site aboout 3 weeks or so ago, and it basicly has a section for a online catalog... and you litterly flip thru it like a book, you click and drag the bottom right cornor of it and it gos thru to the next page... well I am having a hell of a time trying to re-make this idea, and ideas on how they have done that or ways and samples on how i can do that?

Flip MC On MouseOver
Hi there,
I'd like to create a MC that flips when a button is rolled over.
e.g. a square with a solid color on one side and another color on the other (or images etc). When the mouse is over the button, the MC will flip once from one side to the other.
If possible would like it to do a return flip on Mouse out.
Can anyone help with this or know a good tutorial?

Flip Book
Does anyone have any example FLA files of how you would achieve a book that flips pages. I am not concerned about the animation of the page flipping, I am more looking into how you could have a book with around 50 pages flip from page to page as you clicked forward or backward.
I found one example posted in the movies section but it was a SWI file, and I want to it in Flash.

I have created a flip book similar to this one....

My problem is that when I click on a page to turn it, the page flickers, or disappears for a second.... This obviously doesn't look very good and I'm not sure why it's happening. I thought the preloader would have loaded all the jpegs at the start.....
All my images are in the library as jpegs and i have static text on the pages in flash.
The book is on Scene 2, with the preloader being on Scene 1....
I am really in need of help here as its due next week!!!

Book Flip?

Rotation Flip
i have a platforming game with a gun that rotates to the mouse (slowly [thanx lexicon for that]), im trying to get it when you walk left while facing right the gun flips, but without just adding 180 to the rotation. heres a pic of what i mean in case you have no idea what im talking about:
when youre facing right and you turn around, make the arm flip (without xscale or yscale or +180 rotation) basically mirror the rotation

Fantastic script and completely free.
I am only having one issue.
I am trying to load the book into another movie clip. When i unload it and try to load it again it does not work.
It has something to do with removing the mouse listener.
If anyone can take a look and let me know the actionscript for this particular file.. please let me know.

[F8] Flip Horizontal
I am attempting to create a Learning Interaction to use in e-learning. I want to create a card on the screen that can be clicked, and it will rotate (flip) horizontally to display text on the back side.
I created a Rectangle and converted to mc. I inserted a keyframe in frame 12 and flipped the rectangle horizontally. I then created a motion tween. That works perfect.
I added a layer above the rectangle with text for the front of the card and performed the same steps as with the rectangle.
When I animate, the text reverses as the rectangle did, though now I have reverse text showing, even though I would have thought that you could not see the text through the card. As the text is on the upper layer, I assume that is why it is showing.
What I want is to be able to see text on the opposite side of the card (rectangle) that is new. That means it needs to be rotating at the same time to look realistic. So I added another layer with the reverse side text.
I tried to change the alpha on the text and have it fade out when the card is flipped 50%. That works fine for the text on the front of the card but the rotation appears not to be in sync with the text for the reverse side.
Can anyone give me a clue as to how to proceed?

I'm trying to create a flash movie via actionscript which gives the effect of flipping over a two sided photo around the center axis.
That is, spin it along the axis, which goes from the top center to the bottom center.

A Strange Flip
