Audio Bug?

Ok, this one may be a little difficult to explain right, but I'll try my best.
I have a movie that loops at the end. There are credits scrolling, and they will just scroll forever, because when it gets to the last frame of the movie, the playhead jumps to a label (X number of frames back) and plays that over and over again. On one layer is my first set of credits animating from bottom to top, then I have a secondary layer with the same thing, but starting several frames after. If you've never done this, you may not understand what i mean, but basically I did it to make the looping look seemless and go on forever, and it does. It looks perfect.
NOW, the problem is, there is audio that has to loop at the same time as this. I put the audio on the main timeline as well (different layer), and set the Sync to: Start, Loop. As soon as I watch the SWF after having put in the audio, it does not play smoothly. It is no longer seemless and you can see where the playhead is looping to, because it pauses breifly before it starts to play again. So, although the audio sounds fine, the animation 'jigs' slightly.
So, that's the issue. Not sure why that's happening, if it's a little bug or something.

Can Flash Detect Realtime Audio Data? (for Linking Visuals To Audio Velocity, Etc)
I've seen a lot of Oscilloscopes for Flash but they've all been fake - they simply generate random patterns that look convincing, expecially if the sound is erratic and would produce chaotic oscilloscope feedback anyway, but they actually have no connection whatsoever to the sounds that are playing.
I've heard people claim however that real oscilloscopes can actually be made in Flash, and I was wondering if anyone could point me towards some resources for looking into it.
I have a distinct feeling that they are probably misguided or just plain incorrect anyway, but it's still a prospect that interests me a lot.

I've just uploaded this rough piece of website for an upcoming band. If you click LINK you will see two flash movies. The one on the bottom is the audio player. What they want instead of JUST an audio player, is a player that plays certain "secret" audio files if you enter the correct 6 digit number. So imagine a text field and a submit button next to the < || > controls. I'm still getting to know Flash and I have no idea how to create something like this. Anyone have any advice? Any tutorials out there? Info? and finally...this IS possible right?

Help Need An Audio Pause Button Flash 5 That Doesnt Need Audio To Preload

I have tried so many audio methods to try and get a pause button that works and allows the audio to start streaming as soon as the movie starts.
I tried this tutorial at macromedia but it needs the sound to fully load or the sound_mc doesnt exist using

Audio Player/playing Audio Files Externally (mp3)
I've designed the audio player with all of the necessary buttons. I'm trying to play the mp3 files in an consecutive order. I am having trouble stopping or pausing, rewinding and fast-forwarding the mp3 file. I also have a next button and a back button and I don't know how to get them to work either. I have a slider, but can't get it to work either. Please help! I tried to follow the tutorial on flash kit, but wasn't quite understanding it. I would greatly appreciate this if someone could lend their knowledge and support.

Audio Volume Sliders For Multiple Channels Of Audio
I don't even know if this is possible, but I was wondering if there was any way you can set up volume sliders to control multiple channels of audio. For a project I'm working on I am going to have background audio and comentary. I want the user to be able to adjust the volume of both the background audio and the comentary. Is there any was I can make seperate sliders for each of those tracks of audio?

Stopping Audio And Starting Another Audio When Button Clicked

I have a multiple slide document, and I want sound to stop when they click the "Next" button, and another audio clip to start. Here is what I have so far:

Flash Audio Player For Streaming Audio
I am working on our church's website and am trying to add mp3 sermons for our visitors to listen to. I have a player that I downloaded but is has some problems, for some reason it will play 2 files at the same time, sometimes it says file not found and I am not sure why. I do not have the FLA file just the SWF that was on the website for download so I can't make any changes. Can anyone tell me how to make a flash audio player with play, stop, pause, rewind and fast forward buttons. Or if anyone has a sample player that I could use for my church, I need it as small as possible and do not need a playlist. Any help would be great.

I am trying to add some sound testimonials to my site and was wondering if anyone could help. My problem is I am not all that familiar with Flash MX.

What I did in the second example http://www.121dreamweavertutorial.com/georgina.html was get the lady to give the testimonial as a .wav file which she then sent to me.I then went into Flash MX and exported it as a .swf file into Dreamweaver.
The problem I am having is that some people can hear the audio and some can't when entering the above pages.
I can only imagine that some people do not have the correct plugins installed. My problem is I dont know how to ensure that people can hear the testimonials, what code is needed etc.
If some one could look into these pages and see what the problem is I would be so grateful.

I have 4 mp3s, each about 3.5 MB in size and I want them to play when a user clicks on a button. If I simply place the MP3s on a webserver and make a button on my swf file that is a direct link to the MP3, will microsoft media player begin and start streaming the music? If there is a better way, in flash for large files such as these?? please, please let me know. And if possible, please provide code.. i am only an intermediate at flash. Thanks soooo much in advance,

anyone know why flash mx will not play some audio clip till the end. I did a test in flash 5 and they play fine, but in flash 6 the audio cuts short before it gets to the end.

I am having a problem with a flash movie -- it simply have NO AUDIO!!!!!
It's a stand-alone projector (.exe).
I have 2 tipes of audio: one is a rollover button, for which I use the Sound() object; the other is an embedded Quicktime movie.
No matter what compression settings I use, they remain ALMOST INAUDIBLE. I have to raise the volume to the max to hear some murmurs.
I've tried to set up the sound programatically, but it doesn't work. I've done this hundreds of times before, and this is the first time it doesn't work.

i am trying to import a rather large audio file (13 mins long), and i need to be able to start/stop the music to sync it with various pics etc. problem is, whenever i start the audio file, it will not stop w/the stop button on the controller. it just plays through to the end. any ideas?

hey. well, i am kind of new to flash, but i have seen some a couple of other people do tihs, and i wanted to do it myself.
i have seen sig's, like on forums, that when you put your mouse over it, it plays music.. like a whole song. and that is what im trying to do.
now, i am good with fireworks and photoshop, so ive made a good image, and i have the song i want to use... but other than that, i have no sweet clue what to do. i have tried a few tutorials and also looked in the "how do i..." section and the help section of flash, but i cant figure out how to do it...

I'm having a problem finding simple instruction on adding a song to an image montage. How do I get it to start on the first frame of the montage? How do I link it... I'm so lost, I've got everything else in this project done, but can't figure out Audio.

I had a designer create an intro for an Interactive CD. It has an audio introduciton and loop sounds.
I then created additional scenes (like a mini website). On one scene I want to be able to click a button and have the user listen to a sample audio MP3 file. Then, hit stop button and return or when finished click button and return to original scene.
i have done this on other occations but now it is not working.
When I run the Flash file the MP3 audio begins playing during the intro! Can anyone help me figure out why the MP3 begins playing early? Or what I can do to make Flash call the MP3 only when the button is clicked?

I was looking at an audio tutorial... and it said to add sound you click on the key frame, Modify> Frame, I did that, but frame is not an option in the Modify menu, what's up?

I'm making a flash thing with flashMX200 pro or whatever, and it involves music. But each time I start it, the music comes in in slightly different places. It always starts when It should, but frames come up earliersome times I play it, and later other times. Is there anything I can do to stop this?
P.S, the music file is in WAV format, alough I have tried it in MP3.

I have created an off/on button for my audio in the main .swf.
All other swf's load into this main.swf.
In my demo.swf section, when I play a paricular (demo, video with audio) I need to be able to have the main audio turn off while the (demo, video with audio) is playing, and then come back on after the demo is finished. I'm not that accomplished in actionscripting to make this happen. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Other flash movies by other people with audio don't lag.

Having a number of audio problems.
I’m using the screens feature on Flash 8 and have built a series of twenty screens (gleaned from a PowerPoint presentation) each of which are nested within a parent screen that contains the company logo and forward and backward buttons.
Issue #1. I have the audio placed on frame 1 of slide 1, frame 2 of slide 2, etc. The problem is that the audio from frame 1 will fire up on slide 1. And on slide 2. And on slide 3. Etc. Don’t understand why it’s doing this. Does it have something to do with the fact that the slides are nested?
Issue #2. Coming from Director so my understanding of audio in Flash is definitely askew. My idea was that I would throw a single audio frame on frame 1 of the scene 1 timeline. This would play for the duration of the wav file (eventhough in the timeline we only have one frame) then the playhead would advance one frame to a text message that says: click right arrow to continue. At that point the playhead would freeze until the user clicked on the next arrow. Of course in addition I would have to give the user the option to advance to the next slide at anytime, thereby halting the audio and advancing to the next screen.
Right now the audio will play but on screen the presentation keeps looping as is evident from the fact that the click on the next arrow text keeps blinking on and off. And the audio loops as well
No Audio In Swf
I have a symbol that when I scrub through the time line or hit the enter button, the audio works just fine. But when I add the symbol to a swf, the audio doesn't play. What am I doing wrong?
Is there something I need to set when embedding audio in graphic or movie clip symbols.

I have tons of clips of audio that play at various places on my time line. A music track plays in the background throughout the entire piece, then on specific frames there is a voiceover that will play on the frame, a different voiceover for different frames. How can I set the volume of the clips?? I've tried, but I know I'm missing something but have tried everything. I was thinking that I could just script it so that it will only set the volume of the specific voiceover to 100 and mute the others, so this is what i've been trying. So for example this script would be for frame 61-70.

I'm noticing my audio seems to pop when its finished playing. Blips, flops, switches and music... Am I doing something to cause this? Or missing something?
I even fade out and I still hear the pop.

I have a general question regarding audio. I have a project where I have an aif audio file of someone speaking that I have imported into Flash. I am setting the compression to MP3 as it says in a Flash book that I have. When I play the project from the timeline, the audio sounds fine, when I play the aif file separate from Flash is sounds fine, but when I test movie, or export the Flash document out as a swf doc, the audio sounds a bit inferior. It sounds less clear, almost like the sound of someone speaking too close to a microphone. Am I using the correct compression for the audio, and do I need to set any other compressions, etc., when I export the movie?

Ok, I am using some free ware called Audacity to record and edit audio. The voice over I am recording sounds great in the program, but when I export it as a .wav file, and import it to flash the voice starts sounding all pingy or robotic. Does anyone have any Advice for me? (Oh also I'm using MX)

I just imported 2 mpgs (which both include audio), but when I play the FLV in the finder or in the flash movie there is no audio. The video works fine, but no audio.
At the import section, the ability to choose your audio settings are grayed out, so i cannot check the check box.
Is there a specific type of video file that works better with the flash importer? Should i save the mpgs as something else? Or have them saved as something else form the source? Or is there some other problem?

Hi, I'm new to flash and this is my first attempt at the makings of a game. At the moment it's just the beginning of a shooter. Here's my problem:
I imported an audio file (gunshot.wav) to play when you shoot. Without the sound it runs very smoothly, but with it, it experences a bit of lag. I don't think it's the sound file itself, because it's not that big. It could be my unorthodox method of playing the sound... I attached the sound to a symbol beacause I wasn't sure how to play it any other way. Could someone tell me the different ways of attaching an audio file, AND the reason for the lag? Please?

i have "movies in movies" etc. Each needs an audio attached that is longer than the animation. Placing the audio within doesnt seem to work.
There must be an actionscript that says:
"keep the animation on screen until the audio is finished, then go to...."
so what would that be?
Not Seeing FLV Only Audio
I am using an flv I got from my client. When I try to play the flv using a video object or media component I can only hear the audio. I don't know how the flv was made. What would prevent the video from showing.

hi new here,
im looking for some help with controlling flv volume, i have 6 video objects on the stage each with different video streaming to them.
i gather i have to send the audio to an empty movie clip but im not sure how to do it.
all my netstreams are ns1 ns2 etc but i dont know how to controll them individually
