PC Vs MAC Autorun..
I want to make my flash movie as an autorun on a cd. I'm a PC user, but dont know how it work for Mac.. I know i have to make an *.exe and an autorun for the PC, but if some1 put the cd in a mac, what happened ?.. do i have to make something more then my *.exe but for the mac ?..

i want to make a multimedia cd using flash. IN which there are some links to download some softwares etc. How I can make this cd autorun. One more thing is that, suppose my flash site is on the net, I m having some .zip files there, I want that when someone click on that the download process should be started.

I have made a multi platform CD ROM for both MAC and PC, does anyone know what files I have to include on the CD to make them autorun when the user inserts the disc.

I have flash 4 and I need a simple, easy way to create an autorun CD. I have a quicktime file I want to burn to a cd and when I give it to someone I want them to be able to put it in their Mac or PC and the CD runs and launches the video. Simple, nothing complex. I know how to make hybrid CD's but I've never used Flash nor tried to make an autorun cd. Please email me if you can help me, tedirving@tedtv.com. Thanks !!

Can anyone tell me how to get autorun to work, so that when I place the CD in the movie will automatically run. I tried saving a notepad file called autorun.inf and in it it says:[autorun]
open = NPRP.exe

my movie is called NPRP and it does not work.

Although I have been developing websites professionally, I have done very little flash. I would like to use Flash to develop business card CDs but have a couple of questions I hope someone can answer:
(1) I would like the CD to autorun (autoplay) when inserted into the CD holder on both Macs and Windows machines. Is there some code or a program that can be purchased to do this?
(2) Will a player be exported with the movie file in case the viewer does not have the Flash player installed.

I'm working on a program in Flash 5 that opens when you put a CD in,
I got all working eccept for one thing : when It opens a file like setup.exe it asks if i want to download the file, I want it to open the file and start installing.
This is what I do ;

Hey there!

As a contribution to the end of year celebrations at my school, I have taken up the task of making a leaving video. The video itself is coming along well on the iMac DV I borrowed from my school. I'm going to network it with my PC and send the video over to this machine.

There's one big problem, though...

It'll be put onto a leaving CD. The challenge is that the CD needs to be compatible with both Mac and PC. I also need a decent, functional autorun menu for the CD. The Autorun program must be able to play the video and also be capable of acting as a slideshow program, and play a music file at the menu.

I was wondering how I make the cross platform CD (using the PC) and wether it would be a good idea to use FLASH MX or DIRECTOR MX

Bearing in mind, the mac DOES NOT have a CDRW, but the PC DOES.

I've created an MX production published as projector files for both Macs and PCs and burned onto a CD. Does anyone out there know how to write an autorun script for either/both the PC and the Mac projector files so that when the CD is popped into the computer the .exe just begins playing? I know this is simpler for the PC of course, but is there a way that works for Macs too?

Also, i need this to be compatible with both macs and pc's so i guess that rules out the .exe option as that does not work on a mac.

im trying to get my swf movie to play like a CD,...I followed this tutorial to a T,....

1. Open up trusty ol' Notepad and type in.
[autorun]
open=intro.exe
icon=icon.ico
2. Replace 'intro.exe' with the file name of your .exe movie, and 'icon.ico' with the name of your custom icon if you have one. If not remove the line 'icon=icon.ico'.
3. Save type as an "All Files (*.*)" with the filename autorun.inf.
4. Burn your cd with the autorun.inf, icon.ico (if any), and projector .exe in the root directory of the cd. When you enter the cd into the drive, it will automatically run your .exe file.

but for some reason im not having any success.
IS it an extra step that wasnt mentioned?

anwyayz, im trying to create this flash presentation which i will burn in a cd. and what i want to happen is for it to autorun as soon as you insert the cd into the cd-rom.

i read that tutorial about autorun using the projector program thing.. but i dont have that program. do i really need it to be able to autorun my cd?

I'm making a cd rom that will open a .exe file from flash. I got the file to open ok, but how do I get a picture to appear with the name of the cd? I tried to write in the autorun txt "icon=myfile.icon","icon=myfile.jpg.icon" and "icon=myfile.jpg" since I have a jpg image to appear, but none of them worked...
My deadline is on Monday, so if anybody could help, please...

got this from the flashkit tutorials to be saved as an inf file on a CD.

The first question I have is will this run an swf file in the same way.. eg.. open=intro.swf or does it have to be an exe file??

Next question, will this work on a Mac??

I know how to create an autonrun for a CDrom. One that will start my flash movie when the users inserts the CDrom.

We are doing a project on USM Memory sticks, and when the user inserts it into their computer we want it to start the flash movie(exe).

I tried moving an autorun file and EXE tot he memory stick put it will not work....can someone suggests how to get this to work.

Does anyone know if it's possible to delay the autorun of a file in a autorun.inf file?

For example, say I want to run 2 files:
run1=abc.html
run2=def.html

BUT I want def.html to open 25 seconds after abc.html, is there a snippet of code that can be put in the inf file to do this?

hi, this isnt really a flash Q but ill try anyway,

basicly i want a autorun cd that opens my exe(flash movie) just a quick ani that closes its self(got this figured out)

the hard part is making the cd auto open so after this flash ani is closed the cd's contents are there for the user to go through.

I'm creating a CDRom (my first) which I would like to autostart my flash.exe and flash mac projectors.

I'm on a Mac, so creating an autostart CD with Adaptec toast is easy for Macs (OS 9 and below, of course). But PC autostart is a problem

I've created the Autorun.inf document with this code:

It will open only a pop up window, but will not start.
