Flash :: Blackboard Aplication

BlackBoard...
That's it. A blackboard. Starting with no flash knowledge i have had to do a multivideoconference app and now my boss has come with a new challenge, add a shared blackboard to the mix.

Problem: i still have no flash knowledge. I don't figure out even how to draw locally, the sharing is the "easy" bit for me, go figure.

I suppose that i'll have to do something like a movieclip listening to mouse events but, How do i draw? are there any magic functions like drawLine or something like that? I'm pretty lost atm.

Any public code showing something simmilar and/or any tips are highly appreciated.

i really like the idea and would like to implement it into a site... basically the owners of the pub can log in and change the blackboard contents on a daily basis

i just need to know how they made it so the client can update the menu on a daily basis

SCORM 2004 In Blackboard
Hi

I am urgently trying to find a SCORM 2004 compliant module that works in the Blackboard VLE system. We are struggling to upload a SCORM 2004 module in our Blackboard VLE and want to compare the two to see where we are going wrong. If you can email me chris.lawrie@nhs.net if you have a simple SCORM 2004 module that we could test on our system - in actual fact this can be Flash or some other software like authorware etc.

NEED To Open An External Aplication
Hi

I'm desperate trying to execute an external aplication from a movie; I'm using the fscommand "exec" but this only works when I'm playing the swf from the standalone player or within a projector. I need to execute a program directly from the browser....

PLEASE...any ideas??

I supose it might be interacting with some javascript but i can't get it...

How To Play File In Another Aplication?
I'm making interactive cd in flash MX (projector) and I have a situation when user press a button and .wmw, .mpg or .avi file should be played in external aplication. It should work on both platformes. Mac and PC. How to do it?

Browser Behind Standalone Aplication
I am trying to use getUrl from standalone player (.exe) and the browser is always appearing behind the flash movie. Also I tried pdf file to open using same getUrl action. I t wouldn't open at all.

Any suggestions would be very welcome!!!

Form Aplication Stacking
Is it possible to have the root level screen play on top of the other screens rather than behind it?

I want to have a screen that stays on top of all the other screens that you look through to see the content of each screen (like looking through a door to see the room behind it).
I'm just not sure what to even look up to research so I can learn this.

I'm much more familiar with the Forms Application side of flash that the traditional side.

Creating Drawing Aplication For Flash 5
I'm trying to creative a drawing application for Flash 5. The problem is the majority of the tutorials I'm finding use MX's Drawing API tools. Can anybody show me a good tutorial for Flash 5 or point me in the right direction? I want to do things such as change the paintbrush color, fill the background, drawing shapes, change brush size, etc.

Ever since ive gotten around to making flash applications this questioned bothered me n i wasnt able to find an answer anywhere so far:
Is it possible for a Flash application to save data which can be accessed next time the program is ran? (for example like a save in a game or in a word proccessor); and if yes then can someone tell me how or mayb direct me to a tutorial?

Flash Aplication : Host On Web To Save Data?
Hi all,

I am making a budgeting program, partly because I need one, and I want to learn more about flash.

My main question is this - because I will need to track data over many months, how do I make sure it is saved by flash? Do I have to host it as a website so it is 'always running'? I would hate to think what would happen if the host were to go down, I would lose everything.

Its seems like there would be a way to export the data (via a save button) to xml or some other format after I have finished my session. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Enable/Disable Startup Aplication From Flash Movie
Hello everybody, I have a file flash that I just did and put it in the windows startup folder. When my computer starts the flash movie starts of course ... but I was wondering if there is a way to disable the startup of the flash move from the same swf file, some kind of actionscript or checkboxes so it automatically disable it or enable it again.
