FMX 2004 Intro - Why The Full Intro Is Not Coming
Using FMX 04 in win 2000, i have designed this short intro for a website. beyond a certain frame the animation loops, whereas the animation was supposed to stop on a particular key frame

I'm pretty new too Flash, have been using Swish mainly.

I have been trying to figure out how to do "pre-loader" bars, because I have an intro screen that needs to load before it is playeed...how do i do that?

Also, in Swish I can link to a page with a rollover command, but when it rolls over is there any way to change the colour of the text?

If not, how can I do that in Flash?

Okay lemme see if I can make sense...I want to make this awesome intro for my Britney Spears site. I've made several intros using pics and music but the .swf files are HUGE!! I am only using 1 font, 1 color for font, 5 jpeg's, 1 mp3, and a few effects. Is there anything i can do to make the file smaller but with the same amount of cool effects/graphics?? I've already compressed the images. HELP!!! (There's 7 scenes in my movie)

Hi everybody, here my problem...

How do you make an intro ?... actually my problem lies in controlling the movie clips in my intro.
lets say I have 3 movie clips

1.textEffect
2.logoEffect
3. objectEffect

how do I get the first movie [textEffect]to play,run through its entire timeline, remove and play the next movie clip [textEffect]. so on and so on

or do i use just use the main timeline and manually add Movie clips? if this is the answere than why does my movie freeze when I add more than 1 movie clip to the main timeline

Hi - I'm trying to make this intro whereby little pictures or dots come from all sides of the screen and at differnet speeds (with soundfx) to form the map of australia, then i want to be able to change the colour of these dots. Should I have all the dots (i.e. every single dot that will be in the final position) or is there some way you can just have one dot that duplicates and randomly comes into the screen and forms australia??? If i could do this it would keep down the movie size. I've attached a sketch of what i was trying to do... Thanks....

Im a beginner (serious beginner) with flash, my main area is photoshop. I have an intro idea for me and me mates website, but i dont know how to make it (well, i kinda half do...but it would take me weeks and weeks :P).

Well...the details are.

Me and a group of friends are travelers and loyal supporters of Scotland (hmm...wonder if the english close this thread straight away :P), and im making a website...i can do the website....but not the intro.

I think the idea is pretty simple...it starts off with the song of choice (Dandy Warholes - Get Off)...then a little guy comes up doing keepy-ups, a stick man....then it cuts to some text on the middle of the screen, and a ball comes past and bounces off it. Then it goes back to the stick man, and and he takes it round a player, then back to a ball bouncing off text. Then back to the stick man, and he runs up the wing and crosses the ball, then text...then a guy headers it in...then the site name appears.

I dunno if this is simple or wot, but it sounds pretty simple :P

I know i will prolly get no replies to this, as i know wot it's like n00b's asking for stuff but it's worth a try.

I've never used Flash before, and my teacher wants me to do an intro for her website. It's a photography business's website, and I have 15 pictures that she wants put on a film reel. I'm not exactly sure how to go about it, and I honestly need help. I have about a week and a half to finish it. Please reply ASAP with any information. I have checked the website a bit, not a lot, but a bit, and it simply has too much information to go through in a short period of time. Was hoping someone could lead me through Flash a bit, or show me where a good tut is or something...

Edit: I decided my explaination was too long so here it is in a nutshell. I need a clip or tutorial of an old movie countdown effect. I prefer a tutorial so that I can customize it for originality, but anything will do fine. My problem is getting the filled part of the circle to follow the spinning line. Thanks!

my boss said the music in the beginning of the site is not in sync. I'm using:

I have an intro, and, basically it is just pieces of the background comming in, and at the end if it, I added a go to and stop action, but when the intro finishes playing, it dosent display the full background with all the animated pieces, just the image. PLEASE HELP

Hello I am trying to make an introduction to my website.

I would like the flash intro to appear and then do nothing until the user clicks on a button.

Once the button has been clicked it then runs the intro animation and then proceeds to the site.

What would be the best way of doing this and what code needs to be used.

I have a rough idea :

1-user clicks button
2-flash runs a movie clip
3-movie clip ends
4-flash loads the main website which is further on in the timeline

is this the best way,

Hi, I am in the process of making a simple flash-movie.
I have prepared an intro file (with an Open Source stringbuilder, with an actionscript) After this movie I want a mainintro movie (With JPG's) to play
I am having trouble to play them after each other. I have tried several things but I ran out of ideas. Maybe the actionscript needs a small adjustment to play the file as a separate intro .swf movie, directly followed by the mainmovie ??? I am just a newbie to actionscript.

Basically I have a number of images embedded in an swf. I mearly want to fade up and fade out each image in sequence on an enterFrame function with the ability to set a delay between the up/out. They need to be embedded because I need to preload them. I previously tried this by loading them from an array but there was too much variable timing in terms of different connection speeds. There is no need to sync with the audio, but there is a need to have the duration not be factored by the users connection speed.

Hi there,

I have a 30 second sound clip I'm using for an intro to my site. My frame rate is 24, so I've made my movie 720 frames long. There's a getUrl action on the last frame that jumps into the main page, but the problem I'm finding is that the audio ends before the animation is complete--and if I check it on a different computer, the timing is still different??? If I time it with a watch, the actual time of the intro on my computer is very inconsistent, sometimes 39 seconds, sometimes 45, sometimes 35??

How can this be, if my movie is 24fps at 720 frames--then why is it not 30 seconds long in real time?

Ayone know why this is and how to ensure that my intro is 30 seconds long?

in other words, i have a preloader that loads the intro, then after it is played, the main page of the site should load.

is there a way to call that main page after the intro is over ??
or should i put both the intro and the main page in the same SWF file ??
