I'm sure I saw an effect on the flash boards. It was where a script was used to make it so you could turn the page of a book. Does anyone know what I mean?

Hi:

I've been through dozens of search links at FK and over the web, but can't find a sinble tutorial/script for turning pages.

Below is an example of what I mean:

Just click on the image.

The problem with the above, which I did in an animated gif program, is that you can't set the bottom page, i.e., you can remove the top page, but the bottom page is always blank. However, I need to reveal additional pages beneath the top one, which must be visible as the top one is being removed.

Anyway, I've only ever seen a couple other examples of this being done, and I have no idea how it was accomplish. I think a tween is out, but I thought that perhaps it would be possible with AS, since I know that you can bend straight objects with AS.

Any ideas, Scripts, or tutorials would be appreciated.

3D Page Turning Effect
Hello,

I'm looking at taking a monthly magazine (approx 150 pages) and posting it on the web as a virtual magazine. I've been looking at companies like NXT Book Media and Flip Pages that can present it using 3D page turning technology, but I've heard Flash can do the same thing. My three questions are:

1) Can this be done, assuming the original is in PDF
2) Can you flip the pages by clicking on them or using arrows
3) Would anyone be interested in doing this for our company on a monthly basis.

I'm looking to do a simple transition with a picture with a page turning effect. Sort of a bottom right hand corner pulling up to the upper left.

Is there a program out there, like Swish that can make it? Or a tutorial somewhere on how to make something like that?

For example if I had an index at the start of the book and somebody clicked on a section it would automatically turn the pages until it reached that section.

I'm designing this site that is kinda like a sketchbook. I've seen similar things before although they actually work as if you are turning the page.

There is another one ive see also where you actually have to grab the corner of the page and pull it across but i cant remember the link.

Any ideas on how this is done? I'm sure the AS is pretty simple, but its the actual 'page turning' look that gets me.

Hello everyone

I need to make an animation of a turning page using bitmapData i guess (the images on the front side and on the back side of the virtual page are BMP's loaded at runtime)

Can anyone suggest a way of approaching this? Is using bitmapData and drawing each pixel going to be fast enough? Is there a better way of achieveing this effect?

I was looking for a code that does a turning page effect and have found one, but am experiencing a problem. The code is giving me a problem when i add more pages to the existing file. I am really hoping that someone can help me out with this as it is really urgent.

I have attached the original file. I need to add a total of 16 pages. Can someone pls see the file and explain to me how this is done. The pages are all generated with the help of action script. Peel Effect/Page Turning Plug-in?

I am currently trying to find a plug-in for Flash that allows a page turning/peel effect in an animation. For example, an image can be peeled back entirely and another image shown underneath it. I tried this software:

But unfortunately, that only allows for a book effect. I don't want the book fold to appear in the center of the image. I just want a clear peel across the entire image. Is there any software out there you can recommend for this sort of effect? Thank you.

Take a look at this movie I extracted from a site. For those who have ever watched those XiaoXiao animations(http://www.xiaoxiaomovie.com/movie/movie03.htm), you will know that they are in 2D. But if you look at the one below that I extracted from one of his animations, it looked like turning camera effect of 3Ds when it is actually in 2D. I was wondering how did he manage to do this sort of "Matrix"-like effect in flash?

its like how did they actually turn a vector image? do they drawing every frame every step again and again? if they do, thats hard and it wont look as good. i downloaded the .fla file to take a look and i see no tweening...everything is frame by frame and so i can't get the idea how they made it...
