I need advice on creating a realistic carbonation effect. What I have in mind is like what you would see if you were watching a soft drink fizz through a glass. I have found some tutorials on creating a basic bubble effect, but I'm envisioning hundreds if not thousands of bubbles of various sizes all at one time. The overall effect would likely last 2 - 3 seconds and the bubbles would of course travel from bottom up to top. I'm trying to get as real an effect as possible. I'm somewhat new to FLASH MX 2004, but I have what I consider to be a basic understanding of FLASH and ActionScript. Many thanks in advance for anyone's help.

Creating A Tunnel Effect/ Creating Snow On Tv
I'm trying to create two effects and I'm new to using swish. Anyone have some hints on how to make a 3D tunnel effect- as if the person viewing is entering a winding hole going down.

I'm also trying to make an effect of snow on television (the static you get when you don't have any reception). Any hints?

Help In Creating This Effect.
I want to use similar effect located here (http://glaceau.com/). You actually have to click Flavors under the Vitamin Water link at the top then let the animation run its course.

The effect I want to figure out is how to make the "Try it" animated movie clip follow the mouse when the mouse is over the bottle. I understand the logic behind this....the bottle is a MC, the Try It is a MC with an on and off animation where it simply follows the mouse when the mouse is over the bottle MC....im just having trouble figuring out how to code it.

Any tips would be much appreciated!

Ok, this time, it's an effect i've seen done before, so I know it will work

I want to create an effect where the object fades in, but like it moves and it fades in at the same time.

I'm trying to create the effect, but I'm stuck at this point. It's coming in, but half of it needs to have the alpha of maybe 60%, and the rest of 12% or something. How would I do this (without actually splitting the object) ?

Creating An EQ Effect
does anyone know of a good place to look to learn how to create an equalizer effect that will move appropriatly with music?

maybe not even go exactly with the audio the way a real EQ would(lows/mids/highs), but rather just dancing to the beat kinda thing. although, a real EQ simulation would be best.

I want to create a basic effect. It's like this: imagine a bunch of squares. Now imagine a mask with a type of gradient fill, that will mask these squares so that it kind of fades in, but is kind of like a train; only the first part of it will have an alpha percentage of 0, the second part of 1, the third part 2, etc. Each part is only a pixel wide, so it kind of like fades in as it gets wider. Then, I want to animate this mask so it moves across the squares, and kind of fades them in. You know what I'm saying?

It's kind of hard to explain . Basically, I want to create a mask that will kind of let things fade in .

Help Creating Button Effect
I have a button that says menu. When you rollover it, a menu banner slides from above (off screen) and the navigation appears. When I roll out, the banner just dissapears.

How can I rig it so that when I roll out, the nav banner either slides off again, or fades away.

Creating A Lightning Effect
Hey everyone, new to flash here.. obviously. Anyways, I was creating a movie and I really wanted some great lightning to flash while my image was coming into view. I tried drawing with the paint brush and with the pencil tool but both have turned out cheesey.. it looks like I drew it in and I was hoping for more of a shiny "lightning look" instead of some sharp lines. Does anyone know of a good way to create a nice lightning in Flash or if not there in Adobe Photoshop? Thanks for any help!

Creating The Effect Of Drawing
I have a student who is trying to create the effect were a point is drawn out so as to become an oval shape, the circle has to follow the path of the oval, so she cannot simply use a shape tween!however i cannot find a simple solution. If it was a line, I could use a mask and hide the line behind it, revealing it to simulate the effect of the line being drawn, however since this is an oval shape, i am lost.
Is there a way of attaching a guide path to hints?

Creating A Odd Effect.- Mac Dock In OS X
I would like to try to create the Dock effect, when you move your mouse runs over the icon, it enlarges and shrinks back down once the mouse has left it. Hopefuly there are a few people out there who use Macs that know what I am talking about!!

Creating A Typewriter Effect: How Do I Do It?
I'm doing a website for a non-profit TV production house. They have an existing website using some flash at www.gntvmin.org. I'm in the process of redesigning the website. The manager came to me and said that he wanted the .swf animation from the top of the page to stay, but with some changes. The previous webmaster can no longer be contacted, and the original .fla file is not on any of the backup disks I have. I'm new to Flash, and I would like to know how the typing text effect was created. Most of the other effects in the original animation I can do since it all appears to be tweening between frames.

Creating A 'highlighter Pen' Effect

I need to develop functionality for a text area that allows the user to drag over text to highlight it as if a highlight pen has been used - like the effect that is gained with 'getTextSnapshot()'. If possible it would be great if this could be removed by dragging too.

Creating Button Effect
I am, admittedly, a novice user, but do have some experience with Flash. I want to create a button effect that, when you take the mouse away from the button, the image or effect reverses what happened when you placed the cursor over the button.

The butttons I have created on this site are a good example:

The five buttons at the top, that start with ABOUT. I have made them so they transition and fade into another color and alternate text when you mouse over them, but when you take the cursor away, they 'snap' back to the original image. I want them to 'fade', or 'transition' back as they did when you when mouse over them.

I can't figure this out. Can anyone give me some clues?

Creating A Vignetting Effect?
Hi all,

I have a question: I want to create a vignetting effect to my project (like when the corners are burnt a little like when watching an old projector for instance) and can't figure out a nice way to do this.

My current direction involved using a radial gradient that faded from the middle to black (or brown or or etc) at the outside and then fiddling with the alpha over time, but its just ends up looking blurry and muddy and makes all the graphics below it looks gross.

Has anyone any suggestions or help that can help me in this hour of need?

By the way I'm on Flash MX 2004 so I can't use transfer modes (theres a reason for this so no, upgrading won't be a useful answer).

Hi im new to this and am not sure how to create it ....

what i want to do is create a mc that acts as the mouse but moves randomly along the _x axis creating a swaying effect

i would like the sway to be small at first and then grow bigger as the person gets drunker and obviously harder to control

i know what i have to do is randomly increment the _x position depending on which way the person is swaying but i dont have a clue how to code it any help would be greatly appericated

I'm trying to create a wormhole effect using stars, masking and some basic tweening. Anyways, attached is a FLA file showing what I have so far been able to accomplish on my own and I'm by no means happy with it. I would really appreciate it if some talented flash guru can give me some advise on how to create a wormhole effect that has stars swirling around in a clockwise direction (the swirling in itself creating a black hole in the center) and continuously scaling from large to small stars to give the illusion you are traveling through the wormhole. Can this effect be accomplished utilizing masking and basic tweening.

By the way, I was wondering how you only show certain areas (Graphics of areas and such) on your map as you click on a certion region and everything else disappears. Is it possible to "link" to another layer which contains the things that should be the only visible graphics as you click on the defined region?

I have created a water effect in Adobe Flash using AS2, however I now wish to create a flash application with the same effect but using AS3.

when i do this in flash MX, not flash MX2004, on step VI, it indicates that it is a motion tween not a shape tween.

Help With Creating A Fade-in Effect
I would like to create a slide-show that automatically starts playing when my website loads. After looking through several libraries of online Flash tutorials, I haven't found one that tells me how to do the exact thing I'm looking to learn. There are probably many ways to create slide-shows, but I want mine to use simple fades from image to image. Here are the specifics of what I want the end result to be:

The slide-show will start playing automatically when my webpage loads.

The first image in the sequence will fade-in from solid white. After displaying for say 3 seconds, this first image will fade-out to solid white.

Every successive image will fade-in and fade-out in the same manner.

I may decide that I would rather "cross-fade" the images instead of fading them all in and out to white, but that will come later.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I am not an experienced Flash user yet, so hopefully I can understand the terminology and instructions as they come at me
