I was wondering how I would make this effect. You can see it at http://www.xeofreestyle.com. They use lots of nova type things that are really bright in the center and fade into another color as they go out. They're all over the site too. I just cant get my white that bright.

I Cant I Make This Effect?
Hi m8s,
I'm new to flash and I want to do the same effect that is in this site (http://druids.no.sapo.pt) in the lower left corner where it says links. The diference is that is not 3 separated pics but just one with 3 different zones (wich one leads to a new site). It can be 3 different pics also but just one was much better. Anyone know how to do this or some tutorial that explains this?

This is probably one of those questions where you experts think: what an idiot! It's so simple! Well it probably is, but I'm a noob @ this, so plz help me out here.

So how can I achieve the effect that appears when you press on one of the buttons. I think it has something to do with masking. And something else, how can I make it so that the red stuff slides back to the button and then the other red stuff slides out of the button you've just presses in stead of just disappearing suddenly. Hi,
Im currentley working on a prototype shop in flash and I have a question regarding a nice effect I see on most websites, take for example this site:

When you click on one of the buttons, you get a sort of flash popup, and the background dissolve away. Also in this example the buttons on the background are "disabled" and so is the whole background.
Can someone tell me how to make this effect.

Go to www.kevinkeelan.com. Click on "The Photos". It will pop up in a fullscreen window.
Try resizing the window and you'll notice that the background is vector and it looks like the scale mode is set to "showAll". BUT, the photos look like they have a separate scale mode set to "noScale". They don't resize.
How did they do this? Is it possible to have two scale modes?
