Flash :: Embedding A 360 Panaromic Mov In Flash

Panaromic Images?
i have a panaromic view image from a software (U lead 360). I am able to export it as a jpg file. The width of it is 8000 pixels. As I was not able to import the whole image into Flash MX.. I tried to slice (cut the image) into 4 different image sequence and import into flash. When I try to aling the image 2 at the position of (2000,0), Eventhough am not able to see it, it aligns- i guess. When I try to aling the thrid image at (4000,0), for some reason it is not getting into the position. Is there a limit for the images to be placed the stage? what is the restriction.

any ideas??

Loading A 360 3d Panaromic Pic
i already have the file of the 360 pic. It is in a quicktime movie format. My problem is that when i embed this only one pictureee shows up and when move the mouse in it it doesn't work...
is there an action script for this. or am i doing it all wrong

Simple Left/right Butons To Scroll Panaromic Image?
Hi folks

Quick query for you. I have a panoramic image which is masked within a square. Then I have a left and right button. On clicking the left button I want the image to scroll left, right button to scroll right. Also i need to set parametrers for the image only to be scrolable till the end end right / left.

I am sure this is pretty simple but its been a while since ive used flash. Can anyone point me to tutorial to do this been looking cant seem to find anything

Embedding PPT In Flash
Hi,
I've read too many threads asking how to put powerpoint file in flash. And mostly answered by converting the powerpoint first, then import it from flash.

My concern is how to load/call the ppt files without having to convert it first. Meaning I can directly load the powerpoint files into flash by only choosing it from a running flash animation file. (Exactly like what Macromedia Breeze had done)

I tried to figure out how to embed my Flash file without doing the "click through" by going to http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/ (thanks estudioworks)... but couldn't figure it out. I'm pretty inexperienced to scripting.

I have a question on embedding swf files. When I embed a swf file on a php page or even html it shows up fine and works great. But you have to first click it twice to work, after that it is fine. Is there a better code so the swf movie will work on first click. Here is my latest project

[CS3] Embedding Flash

I have designed a site based on the entertainment template in dreamweaver cs3. I have created a swf in Flash cs3 to load in however the background colour of my html page is #14285F. But while the swf loads in the browser the background size of the swf is white and it looks unsightly. I know there is a fix for this but it has been 5 years since I last looked at flash. I did use it and it worked, but can't remember. I've searched all the forums etc but can't get anything to work I've tried the swfobject code

Im currently about to start building a flash game which i intend to embed into a HTML page. What i am wondering is what size to make the flash canvas in order to make sure that the game is viewable in all screen resolutions (without any scrolling whatsoever).

Hello, first of all I'm new at flash so apologies if this question has been asked before/is incredibly simple to solve.

I'm using flash 8, and I want to make a scrolling text box. I seem to have muddled through somehow and achieved this, however there is a slight problem when I embed it into an HTML file. See here

I'm not sure if it's just my browser (am running IE under XP) but I and several others have noticed that before you can use the slider you have to click the textbox (and when you hover over it, a border appears around it until you click)

I'm using firefox under Windows NT at work and this doesn't have the same problem. Is it just a browser issue, or am I doing something wrong when I embed it?

I'd appreciate any help!

I've asked the same question in the General forum area... but maybe it is also appropriate here.

We need to have the ability to show another Flash object witin the top right corner of a Flash movie. How can the SWF be embeded in top right corner dynamically using code?

Also, something related. The plan is to create the Flash object for this top right corner area using a DWG/DXF to Flash converter... but this third party converter tool costs $400. Is there any internal support within Flash that would help convert DWG to Flash without reinventing the wheel or doing hundreds or mor lines of coding?

OK. I know that in the new version of IE, the normal way of embedding Flash has been changed to where you have to activate it first. It has the border around it and everything now. OK. So how do I embed flash now? and better yet, how do I use the WMODE = Transparent to make my flash transparent using the new way of embedding?

When i directly access this jsp i could see flash output. But when i redirecting the request to java and forwarding it to test.jsp, i could not see the content. I could see blank page only. Am i missing anything?

What is the difference between Flash Media Server and simply using a freeware Flash media player (like Flowplayer http://flowplayer.org/) that uses XML playlists to embed your Flash videos on a website?

What are the advantages to Flash Media Server and how does something like Flowplayer not address issues that FMS can?

Does anyone know how I can send an email that contains a Flash animation? I know how I can send it as an attachment or a link, but I want the animation to actually appear within the email?? I already got advise to simply paste the html code into the email text and replace the .swf with the url...(didn't work)???please help

Simple request.... Wanted to embed a flash movie on an ezboard account as a custom signature. anyone ever do this? As of right now i cant get the /embed command to work.. I get a white box to show but the movie doesn't play... maybe i have the command wrong. anyone have the slightest idea as to what im doing wrong.. hey just a quick question - do you know how to embed a swf into the bottom right hand corner of a page nice and snug... i worked on a new background and can't quite work it out in dreamweaver.. yeah my html sux ass :P I'd love to have it so there's scrollbars if necessary but none if fullscreen (ie blank colour filled html at top and left, swf in bottom right)

i was gonna have _another_ flash popup but i decided to do something a little nicer. the prob is i don't know how to do it.

Our design studio has been developing flash presentation for a large corporation for some time now, including flash emails blast. Recently the corporation enabled the ActiveX restriction under MS Outlook preventing scripts from running, including Flash, however we have been requested to find a solution to continue using Flash. Is there a way around this restriction, or are we simply, SOL? Thanks for any assistance on this matter. Gotta love corporate security!

Embedding Of Flash 6 Player On CD
Im creating a autorunning cd with a Projector file. I use embedded video, so the viewer needs the Flash 6 player. Is it possible to burn the Flash 6 player installer onto the cd, so if the 'client' doesn't already have the player installed, they can view the cd without having to log onto the internet?

Embedding A Movie Into A Flash Doc
I am trying to create a brochure cd using flash as an exe file. There is a avi movie in the file (23mb). When I auto run the cd on my computer and two other computers in plant it works fine. But when I try to run it on some of the slower computers the file does not load correctly. ie some of the buttons dont work and the movie only plays a couple of seconds.
I think the file might be too large and is not loading before it is playing. Could this be the problem? Is there anyway to link the movie file externally so that the movie still plays in the "doc.exe" Or is the only way to embed the file?

I will search for that but thought I would include that in my post also. The most important part though is embedding an external application into flash. And if that isn't possible the reverse (embedding flash into an application) might work.

hi guys i need some help pweassssssse,

i have bought a shopping cart script and would like to add my flash file into it, its a cgi script however when i enter the code as i normally would in html the movie doesnt load i have tried little variations here and there but to no avail. this will be my header so im kinda stuck until i can get this sorted. the flash file works fine and i have tested it out with a html file. is there something different i need to do with it? as its being embedded into a cgi script? it just keeps coming up "movie not loaded"

I have recently happened upon an alternate method of embedding Flash content in HTML that is far less cumbersone than the traditional method of using the <object> and <embed> tags. The nice thing about this method is that it also does your detection and allows for the display of alternate content. I'm in the midst of testing on different platforms/browsers/OSs now, but I just wanted to throw this out there to see if anyone has heard of it, used it and/or formed an opinion of it.

The markup is as follows:

Where movie.swf is the flash content and noflash.gif is the alternate content that will be displayed in the absence of the correct Flash player (or one at all).

The developer refers to this as "The Satay Method". I won't get into it here, but there is a pretty good explanation of this method that can be found at http://www.alistapart.com/stories/flashsatay/index.html

Anyway, I will be conduction further tests, but did want to check and see if anyone has run into this at all. If you have and would like to share thoughts, I'm all ears.

Embedding PDF Into FLASH Without FLASHANTS :mad:
Yes, I know, I know . There is apparently no other way to do it without FLASHANTS software (A replacement projector software which has extra handles and controls to the origional Macromedia version). Well, at least that is what I have been told. I have the software, and it does it well. BUT, I am using the camtasia flash components to play video with controls (MUCH better than flashants video stuff), the problem is that flashants trashes my video control (Video refuses to play). Does anyone know if there is now any other way to embed PDF inside flash without using replacement projector software?

I can find nothing in Flash exchange in way of components. Any ideas?

Embedding One Flash Animation In Another
Here's what I've got.

I've created a flash animation that I want to embed in another, larger animation. To make things more complex, I want this embedded animation to include sounds of it's own and to loop itself for as long as the larger animation runs.

Now, I've found out that I can embed an SWF file into an animation and make it loop properly. I did this by telling the smaller animation return to it's frame 1 when it reached the end. However, this smaller animation doesn't bring it's sound files into the larger animation when I do this so it loops silently.

I've been unhappy with the results I get when I publish the smaller animation as a movie file and import that because despite keeping the sounds, it lowers the graphics quality.

I've picked up a copy of Flash MX for Dummies to help me get started (personally, I like the Dummies series, that's why I chose that particular manual to start) but it doesn't seem to include this type of animation. I know that I could just recreate the smaller animation in the larger animation file from scratch, but that seems an awfully cumbersome way to work and I still can't figure out how to loop that without looping the larger animation at the same time.

Anyone who can help me out on this issue in particular and maybe point to another book that gives some more advanced information without assuming I'm a Flash guru, please sound off. Thanks.

Embedding Flash Documents
Hi all,

This is not a standard "Embed Flash" function I'm looking for. What I am trying to do (if possible) is physically embed the SWF file in the HTML document. In other words, I need to be able to send one HTML file as an attachment via email, and have the Flash Document stored within this file.

If this is possible, could someone please advise me how to do this, as I am not making any head-way with this myself!!

Embedding HTML (and PDF) Into Flash
This is kind of backwards, but I need to embed some HTML documents into my Flash interface. A company already has an interactive HTML questionnaire, and they want it (along with a lot of other different types of files - such as .swf and .pdf) to be wrapped in a nicer interface.

I currently use Javascript to launch a browser window with the document with no status or address bar (you can see an example of this and the interface at http://manufacturing.stanford.edu)

Is there any way to "embed" an html file into Flash?

I'd also like to embed pdf documents (note: I've already looked at Flashants but would rather not have to have the user install another plugin).

Embedding Fonts In Flash

I don't really understand it but certain fonts will not show up in flash. They show up in Photoshop and After Effects, but not in flash. THe font I want to use is called
Adobe Garamond. Is there a way to make flash see this font?

Also I was playing around with pixel fonts in flash and don't see how they can be used. What I mean is there is no setting in flash for sharpness or taking away anti-aliasing from fronts, like you can do in Photoshop, so I am losing the crispness of my pixel fonts. Any ideas?
