Flash :: Event On Flash Movie Close..?

FLV On Close Event?
Hi!
I have a flash file of about 400 frames.
Frame 5 - 300 is done by previous person.

I am to "add" a video FLV progressive streaming file from frame 301 onwards.
And when the "video" has finished playing, go to frame 5 and continue playing.

I tried to use the onClipEvent but could not find anything to deal with the streaming video close.

Please advice.!

Trigger Event On Browser Window Close
Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to trigger an event or run a function from flash (.swf) which is somewhere on the web page at a time someone closes that window or leaves the page?

There's a JS onUnload, but it's harder to make JS call a function which is in flash and specially upon window exiting when there's nothing more to communicate with...

I remember doing this easily in actionscript 2.0 in the past but i cannot remember what method was used.

if the browser window or tab is closed (is closing by user) holding the flash document the event is set off, and calls the function intended.

Could anyone update me on which method/event is capable of this within actionscript 3.0? I am using flash CS3 pro.

What I want to do is have a button where once its click it will close the movie. (Not a projector but the flash movie. So for instance it would be an exit button where once pressed flash would close itself)

Also does anyone know if once you publish your movie to an exe will it require flash player to run or is it compiled with all the files it needs.

Anyway, my movie is now complete and it works the way I want it to. Now I would like to put a close button on it at the end... What Action script do I use to do this? The only thing that looks close to me is Unload Movie... but that just closes the movie and not the movie player..... I don't see a script that says close or anything????

Close Window After Flash Movie Ends..how Do I Do This?
I am working in Flash MX....I have a flash presentation that I have prepared. The flash SWF file is a pop up that automatically pops open when the homepage opens. After the flash goes through once, I have stopped the movie so it does not loop.

What I want to happen next is to have that window close so that the homepage is showing. I do not want the user to have to close the window themselves. Can someone please help me out and tell me how to do this??

Making Flash Open Windows Media Player And Close After The Movie Has Played
Hello People.

I'm stuck on this, and really need help fast as it's to be in today.

I've made a presentation that if left will start cycling automatically through my work. The only problem is, is that it needs to play my AVI at the end.

I can't import the AVI into Flash because it's 40Megs, and Flash just can't handle the sound and images at the same time.

Is there anyway of getting Flash to open up Windows Media Player, playing the movie then closing it down again?

At the moment I'm using the geturl to open a webpage with the video in it, but this sticks it shrunk at the side of the window and you have to click to maximise it. Which kinda runs the automaticness of it.

Can any of you help.? I need help quickly.

Play A Flash Movie Every Time A Javascript Event Happens
Here's the deal. I'm building an application based in php and rendered to the user as straight up html. However, whenever the user performs certain tasks, I simply want a bell to ring. My thought was to simply create a flash movie that was nothing more than audio of a bell ringing. Every time the user did something, I would simply play the flash movie. From the research that I've done so far, it appears that LiveConnect is a pretty bad way in which javascript can communicate with flash. I'm also seeing something called the external interface.

Bottom line, can this be done? I'm simply want to play this movie (which is really just audio) every time a user does something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Client Loading My AS3 Movie Into An AS2 Movie, Need To Close My Movie Afterwards...
I created an AS3 animation, and a client is attempting to load my AS3 animation into an AS2 movie that someone else created. They emailed me and told me to add this to the end of my animation...

I knew this wasn't going to work, and it won't even compile and throws an error. I know how to close an external movie using event triggers and listeners using AS3, but not really sure how it works with AS2. Any ideas?

Day 10 All I Want To Do Is Close A Movie
Ok,

I decided to make a new topic. I have been trying everything and I still can't make this work.

I made a web page that has a bunch of buttons that when rolled over shows an image and when clicked opens a video player on layer 50 over the image. I can not figure out how to make the movie(flv player in swf file) either just unload and stop when the flv player is done or close and stop when I hit a premade button that has the correct code from a tutorial book.

I have the flv file set as a progressive download in a seperate swf file and by using a premade button from the Lynda flash 8 book the button closes but the flv keeps playing which it shouldn't.

My ultimate goal is to have the swf movie with the FLV file to close as soon as the FLV file is finished playing.

Here's the Code for the swf file with the new close button.
on (release) {
unloadMovieNum(50);
}

Here's the code for the main site:
stop();

button1_btn.onRollOver = function(){

I am developing a site Spirit Beanies when you click on the Samples button a button called Styles will be there. If you click on that button & choose the first beanie a load movie comes up for a larger version of the beanie. I am trying to figure out how to close the window. I am searching through actionscripts & help but no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe the load movie is the wrong technic. I just want a pop up window to appear & the ability to close the window when you choose another beanie.

I created a movie (First Movie) that when I click on a button will load another movie (second movie) using LOAD script, that is in the same folder. The movie loaded (second movie) will cover the whole screen. I would like to add a close button in the loaded movie (second Movie) so will close it and return to the previous one (first movie). I tried to use unload movie in the second movie but I do not know how. Does someone have a suggestion?
