does anyone know a way to import a scene from one file to another or a way to export/publish scenes separately (make each scene a different file)

i'm new to flash and i'm currently working on a website wich is divided into scenes, but i would like to make the other scenes load only if the button linked to one of them is clicked. otherwise my swf file takes too much time to load all in one...please help

I would like to let my animation load the next scene during another is running, but I don't have a clue how to do this!
The objective of this should be that the user don't have to wait at the beginning that the whole animation is loaded!

Exporting Scenes To Single Movies Problem
hi all.
im editing a flash movie from other house, dont know if they use flash 4 or 5. (im on 5)
they put on a single .fla all the multi-movie web page, and use scenes to each movie,
im exporting each one with "test scene" so i have to go every scene an hit "test scene" to export the ones i edit, the problem is that the movies i export dont respond to the actionscript. but if i delete all the scenes and i leave the one i edit and export it with "export movie" it work fine. this are like 220 movies so i dont want to work too much. any idea?

Problem - Exporting Flash Project With Many (18) Scenes
Hey i have a problem.
I have a big Flash project with 18 scenes.
I have a navigation in every scenen in wich i can switch to the different scenes (a numbered navigation from 1-18)
Now, when i export the whole file (every scene also includes sound) It plays the first 8 scenes normal - but once it get's to scene 9 it starts to not work correctly anymore. It suddenly stops + in the whole movie i can't navigate to the scenes 9 - 18.
Does flash have problems with exporting many scenes?
Do I maybe have to play with some export settings?

Importing Scenes From One .fla To Another
well i have this weekly cartoon show im starting up. and i made both the credits and intro scenes in seperate .fla files. i figured i'd add them in to the episode .fla files once i neared the completion of each episode. But i'm having troubles. First off, it wont let me copy and paste a whole scene, so instead i treid copying all the frames and pasting it, but the two librarays contridict one another. I'm running flash MX from 2001. any suggestions or answers to my delima would be greatly apperciated. thanks everyone

Importing Scenes
hi.. k, im quite gettin the hang of this whole animation thing now and im currently working on a cartoon. i've recently clicked into spliting things into scenes,
but unfortunately im up to 2283 objects in my scene and now doin pretty much anything is painfully slow.
i thought i'd combat this by creating the scenes seperately and importing them one by one.. i've tried this but the resulting import doesn't animate the movie clips.. only the twean.
is it possible to import animations? or is there a way to work on scenes seperately without the the comp having to take the load of other scenes?
theres gotta be a way round it.. as an swf my toon is about 45 seconds long and 315kb is that too big?

Importing A Swf W/multiple Scenes
Hey Guys,
I'm having trouble importing a swf. into a flash presentation I'm creating. The swf im importing has 4 scenes to it each scene plays something different when a button is selected. I want to import this into a presentation, I've also tried doing a loadMovie, but when I do that it automatically starts playing and just keeps flashing, when i put a stop but on so it wont flash the buttons wont work. anybody know what i need to do?

Importing Scenes To Add To An Existing Movie?
i have a flash demonstration on my website, and there comes a part in the movie where you have 8 patchs to choose from, depending on which icon you clikc you will get to view one of 8 different movies. however i am trying to put this presentation on cd for distribution, and im wondering how i can link those buttons to the 8 presentations. is there a way that i could import all of the scenes for the other 8 movies into the main one then just have a goto(scene) command?

Sound Across Scenes & Changing Volume In Certain Scenes..
OK, this is kind of hard for me to explain but i'll try...
I want to have a continuous sound loop over various scenes, but I want the volume to increase (i.e. fade up - and i would like it to fade rather than just suddenly turn up) during one of the scenes.. and decrease (i.e. fade out) to 0 during another scene.
On top of that, I'd like the sound loop to stop altogether when they play another audio file on the movie - then the loop resume when they return to scene 1.
Anyone able to help me here - i know it's sounds complicated but I am sure someone knows how i can do this.
Any help would be much appreciated,

Importing And Exporting Files
First of all can download a soundloop from this site and use it in Swish then can I import that word animation in Flash 5 . After I am finnish fine tuning can I export that file to dreamweaver. Also would still be able to access animation that I created in Swish that I have exported to dreamweaver after the 15 day trail period is up . (am i making any sense)

Exporting/Importing .mov Files
Hey,
I'm trying to Export to an .mov file from flash 8, so that I can Import it and "progressively download it from a web server" to make the file play better (and the same) on each computer. When I play it straight from the .swf file, the sound is completely off depending on the computer i play it on.
My issue is that when I Publish and create an .mov file, then try to Import that same file back into flash...nothing works. Just a blank screen. What could this be caused by? I can view the .mov file perfectly when I open it (though the timing is still off, but that's a whole other frame rate problem that I have to deal with).
If anyone could lend some advice, I'd appreciate it.

Hello everyone, just need some simple help here.
Im creating a website using flash CS3, but iam using
action script 2.
I'm half way through finishing off my website, but have noticed
that building the website in scenes has created a very big file.
I've decided to break them up into seperate swf files now.
Basically, i have a homepage with a test button at the moment,
which i need to be linked to another page (swf) instead of scenes.
Im stuck on the actionscript for it. I cant seem to link to another page
(swf) file.

Sound Files In Different Scenes
Okay, so for my final project in school, I have created this kids game, well the first scene(1) has it's own music that plays on its own in the background, then when you click the button to play the game, it turns the music off. On the next scene(2) when you choose your player, I want the same song to play, but much lower then there is a mute button (that is working), the player buttons, which go to the next scene(3) and stop the background music from playing, and an exit button which sends you to the last scene(4). Scene 4 plays its own music and is all working correctly.
My problem is that Scene2 and 3 will not work right at all with the sounds! With the sound added in scene2 it plays the frist scene's(1) music plus its own. Scene3 does not even play sound at all. I have been working on this for three days now, and I know its something horribly simple but my instructor however has told me that I am farther than she is in flash development, and the four books that I have looked to for help are not getting me very far.

Scenes Vs. Multiple Swf Files
I am building a very heavy flash site and am not sure if it would be better to use 1 movie with mutiple scenes or several flash movies.
If I use scenes, can I have a preloader for each scene or do all library elements load at the beginning of the movie?
Also, does the back button work for multiple scenes?
I would prefer to work with one movie. Any help would be appreciated.

Reusing Embedded FLV Files In Different Scenes
I've got a single embedded FLV file in my movie. The FLV video is being used twice (at different places in the timeline).
The problem is that FLV file is not being reused. The bits are being added to the file twice (the video is showing up twice in the size report). The swf is twice as large (in terms of kb) as it should be.
Anyone know what's going on here?

Carrying Mp3 Files Over Multiple Scenes
I need to import an .mp3 for the background music of a movie I'm making. I was wondering how I would have it play continuously during several scenes. I'm hoping there is some actionscipt I could use (I'm new to actionscipt but I know the ropes for animating in MX) instead of having to chop the .mp3 into several segments and inserting them in each scene. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Importing/exporting Jpegs
Hi, i've got a problem when i export jpegs or gifs in flash. I do a lot of work with flash and using jpegs as a backgorund to the swf movie. After i've finished designing a page and slicing a page up using phtoshop, and put the images into my html, its all fine. But when i want to do some flash work on a particular slice, after exporting the movie, the image doesn't seem to line up correctly. Its always 1 or 2 pixels off, which is annoying.
My movie's dimensions are always the same size as the slice, and the image is centered correctly. I've tried breaking the image up in flash, and converting it to a symbol, but nothing happens. In fact when i break the image up, i seem to lose 1 pixel off every edge of my jpeg.
Is there anything i can do? Or do i have to manually fine tweak the jpeg in my fla? Is it just a common bug in flash i'll have to live with?

Get The _x & _y Of Two Different MC In Two Different Scenes
hi guys,
i've got this problem.
I've got an MC "handpalm" in the scene 'pre'.
And a MC "automatic" in the scene 'auto'.
The MC has a complicated timeline, that creates a interaction with the user (question - answer). The MC itself can be dragged over the stage.
(it can be dropped everywhere; and be used anytime during the interaction).
At one point the movie had to jump to the next scene (this is controlled in the MC - timeline.
But the MC "auto" must be starting at the same spot where the MC "handpalm" in the first scene had been dropped.
I tried to read the _x & _y value in the last frame in the "handpalm"-timeline, and give these values to the MC "auto".
BUT IT DIDN't work !!!
I'm desperate...
Can someone help me !!!

Changes In All Scenes
hi.. got a prob with a button in a movie clip..
In mc1 I have a button that changes the color of a movieclip(mc2) on the main stage.
I also have the same mc2 in scene2. Right now i've managed to make mc2 in the stage to change but when i go to scene 2 mc2 is still the original color. I'd like it be that once i've changed it.. it changes in every scene.
i used this on the button:
on (release) {
_root.mc2Color = new Color("_root.mc2");
_root.mc2Color.setRGB(0x663300);
i already tried naming mc2 as a different instance name in scene 2 but it doesnt seem to work.
