Fading A Picture In
i have a picture i want to use on my computer (.jpg) and i want to fade it in, i just got the program and i have no idea how to do this...the tutorials dont help at all.

Fading Picture In And Out
Greets.
I'm just starting to get to know flash. I have a picture which I've tweened from one place to another and i want to make it fade in at the beginning and out at the end. I've tried adding a keypoint near the end and using the alpha feature to fade it out, but when I do that it just progressively fades out for the whole duration.

Picture Fading In/ Fading Help
Hey gang I am trying to get a picture to fade in on my intro. And for the life of me cant get it done. I am have adjusting the easing but that seems to have no effect. I just have images popping up essentially I just can get them to start from a point where they are invisible, how do I do it?

In Alpha Fading The Picture Moves
I've made a simple tween with alpha in movieclip. It works fine but the movie clip that fades (includes photo) make somekind of nasty movement, so the photo "clips"... This doesn't happen every time, but my client says it must be fixed.. I've done it also with actionscript but it does the same trick.
Is there any way to get rid off that "clip"?? I'd be very happy if anyone knew the answer!

Actionscript+XML Picture Fading Slideshow Help
I would like to create a xml based slideshow where only two movieclips exist, an array of the total number of pictures is obtained from an xml file, and each picture alpha fades to the next. I have seen this done a few times and looked over the code so I know the general idea but need help, so I will describe in in pseudocode. I have made it here(www.jerble.com/Other/home.swf) in flash, but would now like to integrate xml and do it in actionscript.

I am looking for the user to be able to upload their picture, and then the picture loads into the flash file. once in the flash file, they can move their picture up, down, left or right, rotates in a circle, and also click a button that makes their picture smaller or larger.
I am working on a project for my family, so they can put their picture with an actor and I wanted to know if anyone could point me in the right direction for this?

Upload Picture From Database, Transform Picture In FLash
Hi, all.
I just want to do a test: I made an swf file that is to be embedded in an html web page. Inside swf I want a picture to be upload from database ( for customized purpose ), say ASP, or XML. And new picture will replace that old one inside swf. Further more, e.g. I upload just a picture that is a piece of tile. When it appears in swf, it should be tiled 5 by 5 and transformed for perspective. Is that possible with AS? if yes, could anyone offer help? And how to write interface code -- ASP or xml communicates with FLASH, to upload picture from database? Thanks.

Using Arrays To Fade Out Picture And In A Different Picture
As Title Says Really.
I have a rectangle with 6 pictures in,
and i have about 10 other pictures to show.
i want to for example:
fade out picture 1, fade in another 7
fade out picture 4, fade in picture 12
fade out picture 2, fade in picture 14
im sure you get the idea, i have tried to look for adding and removing items from an array but couldnt find much concrete info and not sure if that is the right direction i should be looking.
if anybody has any suggestions on where to start looking it would be much appreciated

Fading And Reverse Fading Text
I'm so new to this it's sick. But I figure I can take a few days and learn as much as I can. I'm building a website wherein I'll have a splash page before entering the main contents of the site.
I'm using Flash 5. On the splash page I want to know how to create a text object that appears in a 'reverse fade' fashion. I imagine a 'reverse fade' function can be done with any object or graphic - I've seen it on these awesome websites listed at FK.
I don't know if I'm evening asking this question right. I'm able to use CoffeeCup Firestarter and make things appear and fade easily (duh - who couldn't with that program) but can't view the code the Firestarter program produces in order to learn how it happened.
Appreciate any help someone could give me.

Picture Within A Picture, Zoomed In
I'm trying to create an effect where a picture is made up of lots of smaller pictures when it is zoomed in. I've uploaded an example which shows a big red cross, but as it zooms in, it looks as if the red cross is made up of lots of small red faces.
Is there a better and more effective way of doing this than what I've done so far? The swf file size is a lot bigger than I want it to be and it slows down quite a bit on some computers. Are there any tutorials out there showing an example of this, or do does anyone have any ideas on how I can improve it?

Second Picture Overwrite First Picture Help
Once i click on the movieclip the picture appear on the stage but if i click on the movieclip, the second object will overwrite the first picture. How can i do to not overwrite the picture? and how can i allow muliple click and mutiple picture appear?

Alpha Fading Not Fading
Hi im designing a flash intro/header for a website although the alpha fading effects im using show up and work perfectly while viewing the animation in flash mx when exported to .swf the fades do not take place at all. Why Is There An X Where My Picture Should Be
I noticed that when i view certain web pages on certain computers the images do not show properly, and in their place is an X. But then when I go to another computer and view the same web page it shows properly. WHat is this caused by, and how can I remedy the situation so that my clients dont think im an idiot.

I Don't Want To See This Picture...
(flash 5) okay, i've got this site http://www.goodman-decorating.com/newSite/index.html if you go to the pictures section and choose a different picture you will notice that each time a picture comes in (a seperate swf loaded into a blank movieclip in the main movie) the primary background image shows through for just a moment. each seperate swf has a preloader in it. it seems that each time a button press loads a new swf into the clip, the clip that is currently in place immeditely goes away. does anyone have any suggestions as to how i can keep the current swf in place until the new one is fully loaded. i don't want to see the background image each time i load a new movie. i don't think i can preload all the seperate swfs because there are 20 of them at about 150kb each and i'm sure this will slow the processor speed way down if you want to do anything else in the movie. thank you for any help.

Picture-in-Picture
Is there any way that I could do a picture in picture type thing? For example on my main site I want an SWF in the corner of the stage, but it is too large a file size to import and whatever. Also it would have to load the whole thing, and I would rather it just load the main site then load the SWF. I've heard of an AS called "loadMovie" but I don't know how to use it.

In A Big Picture
Is it more difficult to fill the color in a big drawing. I draw a body (quite big ,nearly half of a scene). When I fill in the color, it doesnt work. I have already check any gap missing by zooming in and fill in the correct layer. I have sticked for a hr to fill only 1 area.

Ok i have a perfectly gd image of a projector screen at an angle, high res perfectly straight lines, looks ok in flash, but when i publish it, and watch the movie the lines are wavey and the image doesnt look right, why could this be, so annoying, spend months on the code, and when its done, the bloody image messes up for no reason ahhhhhhhhhhh so ahh,
