I Have To Make A Site For A DJ. What Cool Effects Could I Add To The Site?
I do not have the site uploaded at the moment, but i am working on a DJ's website. (Known as DJK). He wants something similar to how the effect on http://www.meamusic.com/site.htm works but he doesnt want it exactly like that. He wants some kind of cool background lighting effects and such. I am not quite sure how might do this and make the website still run effectively and smoothly. I will upload the site once i get on my computer at home. Any ideas?

Making Some Cool Mouseovers

What would the Publish settings be for a flash movie which is 100% scalable like this.
I have triied many times and cannot recreate this look.
*if you save the site and open it up in an HTML editor, you will notice the flash.swf is (width = 100% and the height = 100%) but the site doesn't scale that way when you re-size your monitor?

Anyone Know A Cool Effect For Making Water Move In A Pic
I have a picture which is the main page on a webpage I am creating for a customer...the man is standing in the lake. I wonder if anyone knows of a cool effect which will help to make the water look as if it is moving? Or something to give that illusion?

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can help me (or direct me to an existing tutorial) about making input text fields do cute things. Specifically, I would like the input text field to display the text "Type Your Name Here" at all times until the user clicks inside the input text field. And once the user does click inside the text field to start typing his or her name, the "Input Name Here" text dissapears and the background colour of the input text field changes.

Hi all, I know flash somewhat but do not understand how are we supposed to use sound tracks offered on this site!
Example: I like this track:

1) I got .swf file from download (not mp3 or wav)
2) I opened HTML code from URL above and got the OBJECT/publish code a-z and placed right parameters, but it fails to work!
What am I doing wrong???
I like it the way that flash runs with play and stop player, just the way it is, isn't that the .swf file?
Even when I copied .swf from the page if fails to load properly! How can we use them without rebuilding the flash...
I want to host and use .swf exactly way it is on the URL above!
(Actually I was hoping to just grab all .swf files in one big .zip or even auto-download but there is no algorithm to follow help?)

Cool Full Screen Site, But How ?
hi all, i have recently seen some sites on the macromedia showcase that make use of the full screen popup (CBC Home Delivery). the popup has a top bar where a menu rests and i think it looks great.
i would like to know how they made the fs popup, as there are diff. screen sizes and other things to be taken in consideration. if anyone can explain the process please do as i would like to use this for my next site.

Cool Site Navigation..how Does It Work?
Hi fellow flashers:
I saw this awesome site with cool navigation and each time the page refreshes, the background image changes the same as in the flash file:

Any ideas how this is achieved? Just need to be pointed in the right direction. I am assuming the flash file calls a javacscript in the HTML and it reloads the background accordingly but just wanted to share info.

To Create A Cool Flash Site....
...how much is Flash knowhow and how much is a natural flair for artistic design?
I'd like to think that I could learn Flash and AS to a high degree of competancy (as I can pick programming languages up fairly quickly.
However, anything that i do in Flash that I try to make remotely good-looking and pleasing on the eye, always turns out to be utter rubbish.
I just don't have the natural talent and flair for graphic design.
Do you think that it's something you can learn, or do you need to be born with it?

My only thought is to buy a flash template that looks somewhat similiar to the cool flashy site. I've looked on a few sites and nothing catches my eye .... any thoughts, feedback, advise? Please my job is on the line here

A Couple Of Simple Questions...Cool Site Link

Here are my questions...
1.) towards the top right of the page (anypage) there is some text that says "current projects <--Scrolling buttons etc..."
I would like to have links (ie buttons) that scroll from right to left that are the names of current projects that they are working on...
---Then when you roll over this "scrolling movie clip" it will stop scrolling. Then you can click on the desired link or roll you mouse back out... On the mouse rollout the movie will start scrolling again. I've searched all over and can't find out how to do this...
2.) How do you load an external text file (.txt)(or even better a Word file) into a dynamic text box...What actions would I put on the dynamic text box.

Making Site Better
Hey all, I'm working on a new website for urban clothing, and I was wondering how I could use flash to make it better?

Is it hard to put together like a slide show that would have like a title Diesel Clothing and show a bunch of shirts and pants, then switch to Converse Clothes and show shoes? I don't want it to be a large file size tho so it doesn't drain my bandwidth.

Making A Site Run Better On A Mac
Hey All, I made this site: www.howtoeatfriedwormsmovie.com.
It works great on a PC but just chuggs along on a Mac. Unfortunatly New Line Cinema didn't like the response "that is just the way Flash runs on a Mac" so they asked me to Fix It.
Any suggestions? Anyone ran into this issue before? Am I correct in thinking that Macs just handle Flash different and the result is that Flash runs slower?

Making My First Flash Site
Okay, so i have a few years programming experience, but none in an environment like flash so its all new to me. I'm building my friend a website. Now, i want it to be a lot like an HTML site with a static frame with links on it, and then an area where all the content will display and change based on what links you press. How would i go about setting this up?
In addition to this i want to make one of the pages a thumbnail page for pictures. Now, should i just place the the thumbnails in this page and make them buttons that just call up the fullsize picture in another window using the getUrl() command, or is there and easier way to do it?
