How To Loadmovie The Place Iwant? I Have Loadmovie But It Just Take All The Screen



i load a swf and it just take all the space
and my buttoms and others are all been covered
here is how i do it

i put this in the layer called middle where i have put a instance of a w700 h270 movieclip so i can try to loadmovie the same size of it but it just failed
did i miss anything else? i know i did

Loadmovie White Screen Problem
Hello you guys, I have a serius problem here. I have created a whole site in flash and the seperate menus are displayed with loadmovie option. Here goes the problem: when a menu is loaded for the first time just before it starts playing a white screen appears on the screen for a very, very small period of time. I have tried both loadmovie and loadmovienum and i have a preloader on the next movie but nothing seems to work. Please help me I am desperate and my boss is getting restless with the delay of the site.

Loadmovie For Flash Mobile Full Screen?
I tried using flash mobile full screen with flash lite 2.1. How do I load a movie?
I tried to embed a FLV, but when I tried to publish it I got an error.
It said :
WARNING: This movie uses features that are not supported in the Flash Lite 2.1 player
Scene=Scene 1, layer=Content, frame=1:VP6 Codec requires Flash Player 8 or higher

I tried it by creating the video as an swf, then using loadmove to play it but that did not work in
the windows browser, using flashplayer 9. Would it work on a mobile phone, or

Blank Screen Flash When Using Loadmovie With Swfs In Cache
Hi all
I'm an avid lurker, but this is my Very First Post!

I'm loading external swfs into a mc using loadMovie and if the user reloads one of the swfs I get a flash of a blank screen before the movie loads.(since the file is cached)

I am using a preloader and I've put in a test for if fully loaded, then dont display the preloader, but I still get a momentary white flash.

I vaguely remember reading something about using loadMovieNum and loading into a level then duplicating a mc in another level underneath then using the duplicated level underneath to show through instead of the blankscreen - Anyone tried this or something else?

LoadMovie Target Vs. LoadMovie Level
can someone please explain to me why when I load an external movie as a target, the action scripting in the loadedmovie doesn't work.
But if i load the movie into a level it works fine. I want to load into a target beacuse I want it positioned in a specific co-ordinate.

LoadMovie Calling MC With LoadMovie Problem
I am loading a movie clip into a target MC on my timeline and it works fine, but the movie clip that I'm loading in is also using loadMovie to load a movie into a MC on it's own timeline. For some reason, the MC that is getting loaded doesn't load the MC it is calling on it's own timeline. It works fine when I test it out on it's own, but as soon as I load it in using the first MC, the loaded MC doesn't call the movie clip it's supposed to load.

Any suggestions?

I know I know .. messed up heading .. but ..

I have a button that loads a swf into an empty mc (sliderContainerMC)

(release) {
_root.sliderContainerMC.loadMovie("http://www.justinsteiger.com/flash/anims/sliderOpen.swf");

That works as advertised. The difficulty comes when I tell the button on that swf to load a new swf into the same MC (sliderClose.swf). Since the swf in the MC (sliderOpen.swf) isn't the same swf (loading into a MC in justinsflashsite.swf) do I need to change the path? Say to include something telling it to load the swf into the parent swf?

Eventually the swf that's called into the empty MC is going to have buttons that are supposed to call up other swf's that load in other empty MC's around the site. HELP?!

Loadmovie Inside Loadmovie Problem?
Hi,

I have a main movie which use's the loadmovie function to load up an external SWF. But then inside that SWF there is another loadmovie function to load another external SWF into that.

But the problem is that when the first movie is loaded all of its loadmovie commands are disabled.

Is there something i could do to rectify this?

Local Loadmovie Ok / Online Loadmovie Bad
I'm at my wit's end with this one. I have an swf that's loading fine locally but refuses to be loaded online. Here's the script. It's in the first frame of the root mc ....

Loads no problem locally. Nothing when I upload it. I have lockroot set to true in the same frame as the above script. I also tried a simple test with ....

.... in a simple mc containing only a 'slideshow' mc. Works if I access the URL directly, doesn't if I put it in an html page. What mistake could I be making?

[F8] Need To Change A Variable In A LoadMovie Mc While In Another LoadMovie Mc
So I have a shell mc that has 2 mc's loaded into it with loadMovie (let's call them project1 and project2). While I'm in project1...how do I change a variable in project2 to be true instead of false?

I thought I could do it like this (in Project1...):

Nothing seems to be working. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Resize LoadMovie Container, Not LoadMovie?
I've searched and searched but haven't found what I'm looking for.

I'm wanting to load different sized .swf into the same field and I want the field to adjust (preferably some smooth transitions for the size change) to fit the size of each different .swf loaded. I've seen it done on quite a few sites but I haven't been able to find a tutorial of any kind addressing this specifically. Can anyone help?

I'm keeping it simple, i.e. thumbnails with titles above or off to the side; click one; the field where the .swf will play adjusts itself; .swf loads and plays. When completed, user can click another thumbnail and the previous .swf will "unload" then the field adjusts for the new .swf and the new one loads. Follow me? Just any tutorial you guys may know of would be great.

i use loadmovie to load an image into an movieclip.
that movieclip goes to the position x and y of the movieclip - the loaded image width/2

my problem is that when i load a new image the position is not correct.

what i do is i have an array with the image links.
on a interval i load an image. and if p has reached the number of loaded images i start over again.

i traced the following while testing a bunch of images:

It looks like he takes the position of the prev image or something like that.

Put simply-
can anyone guide me to any resources that would explain how to do this?

1. Load 2 swf's into empty mc's (this part is already done)
2. Have those 2 swf's be on the stage for 3 seconds.
3. Unload those 2 swf's.
4. Then load a completely new swf once those have been unloaded.

Sliding Buttons Across The Screen Into Place.
I start with 5 buttons that I get from the Flash UI button components menu, and attempt to slide them into place on the left hand side of the screen with motion tween. This works great when i hit control-play, but when i try to publish it they just sit there at the first frame doing nothing.


Any clues?

ok this is baffling me!

i'm using loadmovie (target movieclip) alot

*main.swf
contains
**buttons.swf

i need button.swf to tell main.swf to loadMovie "contents.swf" into another movieclip.

i thought it would be as easy as:

}

but of course this loads "contents.swf" into level0 of the current .swf (buttons.swf)

do i use globals or something?

LoadMovie In LoadMovie Won't Work...
So I've been trying to get this loadMovie within an loadMovie to work...with no luck at all...

im trying to make a movie clip that loads another swf that in turn loads a movie;



I created A.swf, which contains a movieclip; inside it has a shortshort animation and then loads an image:

loadMovie("image.jpg",_root.Image.PlayerScreen);
//_root.Image is the movieclip

then i created B.swf, wich loads A.swf;

loadMovie("A.swf", _root.PlayerScreen);

the problem is that B.swf loads with no prob, it loads the animation in A.swf, but instead of getting the image, i get a purple square...

any idea what's wrong?

"Uploading Images On Screen And Place It" Script
Hi All,

I am quite new to Flash (but really keen on learning) and I would like to set up the following -

Let users uploading images/pictures on screen and then giving them the opportunity to drag it and drop it within an area onto the screen. Then users could not move this image/picture anymore.

Can this be done with Flash? And if so how?

How To Place Different MC's On A Static Place (keeping X,y Coordinates From Main Mov)
When I start to work in my MC's the rulers and x,y coordinates change.
This is really costing me so much time when I have to make sure they are placed correctly
Is there anyway I can make the cooridnates stay the way they are in the main moivie or does anyone have any other idea that could help me.

Paste In Place Between Movie Clips Is Not In Place Re The Stage
Hi,

I realize that pasting in place between movie clips is referening the registration point in each separate movie clip and that is why they don't align to the stage properly. So is there any way to turn this off?

Can I make my shapes align to the document stage size no matter what movie clip I'm in? Also, can the paste in place be made to paste in place always relative to the stage?

Place, Rotate And Check If The Place Is Free

I want develope a mini game like:

most important thing is in this game to place the elements in a free space so I have to check if the place is free or full. another problem is if I found a free place for the card I have the possibilty to rotate the card but only if the places on left,right,top or bottom are free. I believe this is the most diffulcult thing in my application.

Can someone take a look at my post on the 20th. I wrote a pretty lengthy request for the load movie command. i would appreciate it. Having trouble with the loadMovie command and getting it to recognize the targeted level. What is the "Level" in flash 5. I need to know for action scripting.

Loadmovie Or NOT To Loadmovie
I was wonder should I keep my flash file on one big (600+kb) swf or should I break down my scenes into movies and then load then load the swf that way.

If I use the loadmovie, way I like that it quickly loads my intro and main interface, but you still have to wait on each scene to load up and each scene is around (150kb -300kb). But once its loaded its loaded.

Should you have your flash site just load once or have mini loaders in it. I'm not quite sure which direction to go.

Loadmovie To Above All Others
Hello,

I am working on an operating system like interface where my navigation buttons load swfs with the apropriate content. These swfs resemble windows and I want them to work like windows as well. Everything is going great except I do not know how to load the move into the front most position. I want there to be multiple windows out at the same time and then I was going to put a swap depths script on each window to make the active window come to the front. Before I get that working though, I need to be able to load the movie into the front most position. Any ideas?

Loadmovie X-Y HELP
Well, I want to load an external *.swf movie called info.swf into my main movie called inside.swf.
Now, I used the following code (its assigned to a button):

The movie loads but the X and Y position won't work !!
I also tryed the code that is used for flashtyper X-Y positioning, but problem still exists, the movie loads at X-Y cooördinates 0-0 and I want them to load at 260-30. How can I arrange this ?

LoadMovie, Is It Possible?
I have a movie that has a preloader on the interface and also contains a dummy movie clip for loading external .swf's. When the page is opened the interface preloader comes up then after all that is loaded the external .swf is loaded (with another preloader). I was wondering if there is a way to get the first preloader to load the interface and the first external .swf????? Can you help me out?

i have been loading movies into targets so i can place them on the stage
where i want them, but i have found that this sometimes causes action
scripts to not run.

how can i specify the _x and _y co-ordinates to load a movie into a level?

Well, to make it short and simple, I have the main site interface and at the press of a button an animation will play then hold to a stop. At the stopped frame the loadmovie loadable.swf (1) is present.
My problem is I figured that if i have a preloader on the loadable.swf it would show and wont play until the loadable.swf is completly loaded. In this case the preloader status will not show, and once loadmovie is hit it starts to play the movie when it is not loaded all the way. Please if you can explian how to properly "totally load an swf file using loadmovie with the preloader status showing it would be greatly appriciated..

This is my first post and probablly not my last.

In my root movie I want to load a swf file into a movieclip. I have done this with loadMovie. The only problem is when it loads into the new movie clip it is only oloading into the bottom right quarter of the movie clip. I think that it is taking the (0,0)x,y cords as the middle of the movie clip. Does anyone have a suggestion. I know that editing the center point doesnt do anything.

I was wondering what is the best way to be able to control a external swf file that has been loaded into a MC. I need to be able to use buttons in the root movie to control the loaded movie. The onlly thing is that I will be loading several movies into the root. I think that i would need specific code for specific movies? sorry for the confusing wording? any suggestions?

Bug After LoadMovie ?
I'm making a flash game that gets loaded into my flash web page with movieClip.loadMovie();

After testing this operation, I went back into my game fla to make some changes and now for some unknown reason none of my changes are getting saved. The are not only not getting saved, but when I test, they are not getting executed either!

I can do a SaveAs, give it a new file name, and when I open the new file all code alterations are gone and it has reverted to the code used in the first test of my web page.

This is the craziest thing I've ever seen flash do and I cant seem to edit my game anymore. Anytime I try, of course, it wont save changes and wont let changes get built. I've rebooted and everything... help plz!

I have been searching for a tutorial on this but I'm having no luck.

I am attempting to load seperate movies from an swf by having 2 buttons on an intro screen (each one opening another movie).

I want to do this so I can have a preloader on each scene. Is this the best way to do this or is there an easier way?

With either option I could do with some pointers if anyone has any ideas or code I could poach.

Ok, I must be doing something TOTALLY wrong because whatever I do, I can't get it to work. Could somebody PLEASE explain to me what I have to do? What's the difference between Level and Target under location, why does it say 0 next to it, when sould you use the Expression, and what are the parameters when you put in the url for the movie??? I think I've tried just about every combination possible. Thank you VERY MUCH if you help me out.
