I Need To Make Swf File 4kb?
Hi, I am entering a tee design into a competition but the swf files i send must be 60kb and mine are around 200kb. what can I do to reduce the file size?
I also have to make a thumbnail at 4kb. I am unsure how to do this too.
My images were imported into flash from photoshop as png files and only 150 in resolution.
Please help today is the deadline for the competition.

How To Make A Flash File Launch Another Flash File In Same Web Page.
I don't think what I'm trying to do is too difficult. I'm developing a home page using Dreamweaver. The home page is set up as a table with several columns and rows that create several cells. I've created a swf file converted from an avi file produced with a video editor tool. It's a talking head movie in two parts, two separate swf files.
When the web visitor arrives at the home page, the first part talking head swf file is activated and welcomes the web visitor. The talking head swf file "speaks" for a minute and then fades to white against a white web page background.
This first swf file opens in a table cell in the upper left of the page. When the first swf file ends and fades to white, another swf file opens in a table cell in the lower right OF THE SAME WEB PAGE. This second talking head shot is set up in video editing to start as all white and then fades into the visible swf file. It runs a minute and then fades to white too.
When the second talking head ends, there's no loop, it just ends. The web visitor is then left to decide where to go next. Other navigation options are optional on the page to help the web visitor.
I looked under "actionscripting" and found "Load a movie to replace a movie already loaded", but that doesn't help since it's loading the movie in the same HTML table cell. I want swf movie #1 to load swf movie #2 but in a different cell location on the same web page.
The tip I found results in loading a movie into a target already containing a loaded movie. That's not the effect I want. I want to load a movie into a target that doesn't already contain a loaded movie - a separate location on the same web page.
All in all, all I want is for the first swf file to cause the launch of the second swf file without any prompts... and within the same web page. It's a simple "file launch another file" I'm seeking to achieve. I've looked this up as "file sequencing", "file-load-file" and a variety of other search phrases but I'm getting no where.
Hopefully, I've articulated this clearly. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. I'm a newbie, so please have mercy by not assuming I'm any more than that. Thanks.

How Big Can I Make My Video File?
hello,
i'm working on a cd. i want to put this 120mg video on it. i'd like it to be viewed inside the interface and have buttons that can fast forward, rewind, pause, etc. should i use director or is flashMX robust enough to handle a 120mg movie.

I am making a music player, similar to winamp, in flash. I am using the following code to play the sound.

So what I do is I need to type the URL in the Input box to play the song. To type the whole URL is really tiring. So I need a file dialog box to choose the song. I hope you understand my question... To be more clear I want a window similar to the one that you get when you press "ADD DIR" in WINAMP.

How Do I Make A 60kb Swf File?
Hi, I have entered a t-shirt competition recently and downloaded their provided fla file for me to paste my design onto. I have drawn my design at hi res in photoshop and then flatten it and lowered the res to 150, before importing it into the library. I cannot seem to get the size of the file down to the limit of 60kb.

How can I make my .swf file available for download from the click of a button within the movie? I read that it could be done in AS 1.0 with the fscommand - so surely there must be a way in 2.0?
If not, is there any way I can use JavaScript or PHP to do it?
Ultimately, I'm creating Flash Paper files (originated in Flash 8), but I would like to add a "save" button to the movie.
My company wants to replace PDFs with FlashPaper, but users can't save the .swf file from within the FlashPaper UI!

How Would I Make A Policy File?
I'm trying to put a client on my domain www._mydomain_.net that can communicate with my computer that I'm typing into right now on port 9000, by my IP address. I know SecurityError: Error #2010 means I need to make a policy file.
How would I make this policy file? I am running a very simple flash server I just made, and I just want my flash to connect. How would I go about making this policy file? This is very important, I want to move on to greater things once I figure this out.

Can Someone Make Me A Quick .swf File?
I'm working on a site design, but want a border to seperate certain things, that will change on a regular basis. What I need done is:
a swf file that will open a web page (will point to a .php that randomly picks an image later) and make it 1x1 as far a display. It must be left in the way that I can set the width, etc. so it matches tables and all.
I know this would take like 15 minutes tops for one of you pros, so am asking if someone can do this for me right quick. If you can, may you email me? Thank you sooo much in advance. It's kind of an emergency as I need it within 3 days, so am struggling very hard to find someone.

How To Make A FLA File A Symbol In Another Movie?
I have a complex "intro" animation that I downloaded from Flashkit. I do not want to use the animation as an intro. Instead I want to embed it on my site to play in the background. When I Publish the intro FLA file into a SWF it plays fine. So I made a new symbol, set the properties to movie, and chose to import the intro movie. However, when I import this SWF file it "flattens" the file and it no longer plays right.
Is there a way to import the flash file in a way to where it is a movie symbol?
I have both Flash5 and Flash MX so explain it in terms ofeither one. Gracias!

How To Make Parameters Variables (have Fla File)
Hi,
I have a fla file which demonstrates the use of realtime visual querying with flash.(I havent made it myself through ), but it's pretty impressive.
Anyhow, on the stage you see movieclips having parameters, shown at the properties bar of the movieclip. These parameters hold fixed variables. What I am trying is to replace these fixed variables with actionscript created variables.

Hi, I'm trying to find help via a tutorial, direct help or Flash files to make a top menu bar very similar to what is on the Alienware site.
I like the tab menu nav bar template that comes with Flash MX (the text of the links and categories can be changed using a simple XML file) but don't know how to change the horizontal submenus to vertical menus.
