Send Real Fax/send Pdf In Mail, Using Flash
Hi, I am a moderate flash designer and mostly make animations. I don't work with actionscript too much so I really need your guys' help. I need 2 things.

First: I am making an internet fax demo where I want someone to enter their email in a simple text box, click send, and it will email a pdf document to the email address (a sample fax).

Second: In the same demo, there will be another text box, where a user would enter a fax number, hit send, and it will fax them the pdf (or the stuff in the pdf in any other format) to their fax machine.

is this doable using flash? I don't even mind if i have to use a php or a xml file. but in that case, i also want to know what to write in the actionscript to call those files.

I would really appreciate if someone could please help me out with this. I had been searching all night, i found some actionscripts but have no clue what they mean.

Can Flash Send An E-mail?
I'm building a site that includes a feedback form and a very simple order form (with no confidential information - security is not a concern). I know I can build various things to accept user input, such as checkboxes, radios, lists, blank boxes, etc. That's all good.

Once I have all that info on entered into a page, can I get Flash to email the the data to a specific address?

I have a Flash form that people put name and number and email address and comments and it gets sent to a dedicated email address via a PHP file called mailform.php everything works properly with all browser and platfomrs except IE on windows OS. all browsers on a MAC os is ok and all other browsers on windows as well. anyone knows what may cause IE not to transmit the inputs????

i have tried to send a flash in e-mail and the active-x allways block it. well in my computer if i really want i can turn it off but the chances that the people that receive the mail has it on and wont see the flash are big.
so..theres anyway to attach a swf file to a e-mail and the user be able to watch the animation right on the mail program.. like what happend when a jpeg is sent.

How To Send Mail From Flash Movie.
I have created one mail form in my flash movie. I want to get any infromation from that form it should be forwarded to my mail address. I don't know how to forward messeges to my email id from flash form.

I have found a flash movie to send emails and another movie which sends an email to a friend "refer a friend"

I have tried following the instructions in the action script but what ever i do in the get url box it does not work.

I have a hotmail address i have tried but this only loads the sign in page rather then sending an email.

I read i should enter my address with a / before the @
cdromard/@hotmail.com this only crashes the movie when i try it.
But i guess this is not a http address and this is what the get url box uses. I also heard about PHP but do not really understand.

Can i send emails with a flash movie to a hotmail account?
Could you post some actionscript to copy and paste? with detail of where and how to put in my hotmail address.

So that everyone can easily open it, without any problem, i have published the flash application under the windows .exe form.
The problem I have, is that, when i send it by email, the .exe file is often suppressed by antiviruses as it is seen as one.
Do you have an idea to help me send this so it isn't suppressed ?

Say I have a flash website. Is it possible to create a form a user can fill and then send that info as an e-mail to the webmaster's e-mail account? Can I do this using only flash? Does the website domain require anything specific, like database/php support? If I require anything besides Flash, can you give me any hints on how to achieve this?

Send Mail With Flash And PHP Problem
I am currently in the process of pulling out my hair. I have no idea why this code does not work.
I create loadVars to send to a PHP script that in turn sends an email to me with the variable values. The PHP works because when i go to the url that it points to, it sends me a blank email, so i think the actionscript is the problem since i get NO emails when i try to use the contact form.

Using Flash To Send Mail With ASP Script
I have made a Flash movie and have connected it to an ASP Script so that it sends mail to a defined Email ID. This ASP Script does work with a general HTML form but doesnot work with Flash . Can anyone help?

Send Mail From Flash But Selecting Recipient
Hi I am fairly new to action script, and flash.
so please take it easy on me. :-) I have been googling this non stop, trying to create a contact form in flash that will email the form data via php.

but what I am trying to accomplish is having a drop down menu on the form, such as sales, info, support, etc.
and what ever the end user selects in that drop down box. It will send the email to the selected recipient.
like if someone selects sales, it will email to sales@domain.com or whatever the corrosponding address is. Can someone point me in the right direction or point out a tuturial on this that is out there?
all I can find is just one email address contact form tutorials.

I am trying to make a submit form in Flash using PHP but with no luck! I have worked my way through the tutorial 'Send mail - Flash and PHP' but for the life of me can not get it to work.

I have attached the source file for this (submit.zip) and would be most grateful if someonecould have a look at this and let me know where I have gone wrong? The levelofscripting with thisi s a bit beyond me! the most I have done sofsr is a scrolling text box.

I used often flash to produce CD presentations and interfaces.
With the the event of player 6 and above the getURL dosen't work anymore in EXE projector files.
The question is. Can we still launch, from a standalone flash projector sites, or send e-mails calling the default e-mail program? Or do i have to ri-install flash player 5 again to do such thing?

I send out html newsletter this way: build the page, and upload it to the server, visit the page with IE, copy all and paste on a Microsoft Outlook new mail message.

due to the html mail editor of outlook is ms word some features of html pages aren't shown, now I would like to include flash on my HTML newsletter.

but if i put my page in my site i still need to connect php server? i have the old page in my site the same but i cant rreach the guy and if i need to know his php server i can i do it without him?

being a cheapskate, hosting on a free server, I have access to a cgi sendmail script, but not my own CGI-BIN.
I wanted to have a Flash send mail form. But the only tutorials Ive found require modification of the script.

Mail Does Not Send
Hello,

I'm using MX.
I send a form from a flash page with the following code:

It does not send the e-mail (should do it in bedankt.php).
When I send the same variables from a HTML form, it DOES!!

Am I forgetting something?
In HTML you need to create a form tag where you have to place the fields in, this is not something you have to do in Flash??

This is definitely frying my brain as I can only find info on sending to php.

I am trying to send the data from a 6 field form.

Unfortunately the data has to go to a site that's hosted on an asp server.

I think I have got the asp code covered as this was supplied by the ISP.

Can anyone help with the code I need to send the data?

Hi , i would like to make a button which send me a premade e-mail without opening any programe such as outlook ,just send the e mail and let me know when its done.

i know the usal method for e mails are :

however that method open the outlook programe , i wish i could make this send the e mail automaticly and only notice me when it has (i guess it has something to do with addListener but i just cant figure out the command to send the mail itself).
