Hi, i wanna be able to do something like thishttp://www.st-ef2.com/home.html The little pointer that follows the mouse near the nav bar. I have followed a guide on this site http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/followease.htm but this makes the pointer follow on both axis when i only need it to follow the one. can anyone help me out?

Hey, I'm trying to do a similar banner to that of http://www.spencergroup.co.uk/images/banner.swf. Have the text done, its the images I cannot seem to do as whenever I try to move or resize with motion tween its like it "bleeds" and isn't smooth like the images on this banner...

Is there a way to do this, or is there something else going on?

All Over Our Web, Hows It Working?
Hi there,

I am curious about how a lot of designers now are building flash sites with resized movie clips loaded into there main movie when a user clicks on any of the navigations buttons. Here is an example of what I am talking about:

youll notice that if you click on any of the main buttons in the sites navigation ("our work", "how we can help" etc..), you will load that respective area of the site. As you do this it appears as an onClick event occurs and sizes (animates) that clip prior to loading its content.

I am looking for some insight on how to achieve this. Does anyone know of any tutorials out there or samples i could look at to see how this is done?

not a wow cool site, but neither are mine and im on the third one now.

anyway, i like the way they have masked the name of the firm, and the way it is revealed as if there is a alpha tween happening. it sort of flushes in.

i like it anyway. wondered if anyone knew how its done so i can copy it and maybe use it for a site im doing.

Button Rollout, Hows It Done?
Hey,

I have a button, with a fade box that plays when ya roll over, I want it to play another animation that fades he box when rolled off the button... how ever there isn't a "area" for roll out on the buttons pane tool.

I've done this before, But it wasn't over a button... it was a picture that faded in and out when ya rolled over the button.

Is there a way to do this inside the button pane, or do I gotta throw the MC overtop of the button in the main scene, and do it that way.... cause thats a lot of work if it has to be done this way for lots of buttons...

Flash 4 (hows That Work ?)
I am hoping for some help in constructing a scrollbox for text in Flash 4 only. Is this possible in Flash 4 ? and if so, I wish to make the text draggable (very smooth) ie. Not scrolling one character intervals (very jerky). Is this possible too ?

I have an understanding of the Flash tools and stuff so instructions would be very useful.

the whole page is flash (which resizes to the browser size and DOESNT make the window scroll) and also - theres another flash movie on TOP of this - which is transparent and stays in the centre!!!

Just wondering if the effect where the browser shakes was accomplished by using AS3. If it was would anyone know the coding required for this effect? I have been playing around with the tween class, but I dont think the tween class is right for this.

XML Playlist - Hows My Coding?
I made a flash actionscript 3.0 flash file and named it samplexml.fla and defined the document class as samplexml

I added two components to it, first one a text field 198x16 pixels and set it to dynamic text, and gave it a instance name of messageXML

the second component is a list component, and set it to 198x100 pixels with a instance name of musicXML

I then made a XML file and named it samplexml.xml and put the following into its contents:

I want the button on release will make button2 inactive

Flash Sites That Fill Whole Browser Window. Hows Is This Achieved?
A lot of flash websites that I see nowadays seem to fill the complete browser window without any stretching of content.

Funny thing 2advanced's site doesnt do this. If you click on the edges of the site you get the properties menu for HTML and not for flash.
