Flash :: Just Ran A Sample Flv

Ok the other file is too large to send so I created a sample versoin of what Im trying to accomplish. what I would like to do in this sample is allow the user to check a box which will allow them to stop at the particular frame they check. Once stoped at the frame the user would then have the press "yes" to continue.

I have attached the flash file please let me know if you have any suggstions. also I forgot to add a stop for the movie do If you are tying to figure this out just a note.

Could you give me a clue for a simple loading with percentage sample?

I want it with a simple design but has percentage tell indicate what percentage still incomplete.

I want use it to load different scene.

I want it only load mc (movie clip) in each section, not like preload to upload entire whole flash site. It will take too long to wait for my project.

Please help me to suggest a site, so I can download the sample easily.

I have both swish versions. After I purchased version 2 and started reading the tutorials for it, I noticed that I didn't have any sample files that are reffered to in the tutorials. Did they come with version 2 or am I missing something? All help is greatly appreciated.

I'm looking for a sample script (simple) using the onSoundComplete event. I'm going to do a simple presentation and need to make it so that the animations progress along with the narration. I was hoping that someone might be able to show me an example. Again, this is a minimal project, I'm just looking for a way of syncing the audio other than timing out keyframes. Any easy solutions?

The Ladybug Sample.
the ladybug sample:
i've got a few questions. basic but important.

1. if all the code is in that ladybug movie clip, why doesn't it work when you cut the movie clip out and place it in a new file? is there some library that isn't taken with it???

2. how would you add a strafe function to the code?

3. are all the variables global to the whole file?? so if i changed the variable 'decay' on the main stage would it affect the variable in the ladybug MC?

4. how would i go about making a text field that would take it's value and assign it to a variable that is global?

5. variable types: i've noticed you don't have to delclare the type, so can any variable hold an int,float,double,char or string???

i've done some C programming before because i was forced to but go easy, i'm just getting to grips with this.
help on any of these would be great,

Flash 5 Sample
Hello,

I still use the old Flash 5 and I can't seem to get a dynamic text to fade into alpha x%. Also my movie clips doesn't seem to loop back to start. It seems that the main timeline is directly proportional to a particular movie clip's timeline. I recall in Flash MX 2004 that the main timeline does not entirely affect a movie clip's timeline such that the movie clip can keep on looping despite the main timeline has already stopped using the stop(); command.

Please, anyone can still remember the old flash 5 controls? If not, can you find a link that uses old Flash 5 .fla projects available for download?

Sample Slideshow W/XML?
Hi from a new member / flash newbie with Flash MX (Ver 6.0)...

I'm looking for a barebones sample slideshow source that can read an XML file for the image list. I'll also need to add a menu over the image where each button takes the user to a page inside the site (hopefully also XML definable), in case anyone knows of a sample that does all that in one.

Crossword Sample
Hi I am developing a crossword sample which takes the letters from an xml file and prints the output letters to the screen. But I can't achieve the relation between the xml file and attachMovie command. (I can read how many nodes taken from the xml file) I am sending the .xml and .fla file as attachment.

A detailed description / tutorial on the creation and usage of the sample DevNetNews.fla included with Flash 8 would be helpful for us newbies. Is there such a tutorial? I have searched high and low and am unable to find one.

I would like to do something like this using flash8 professional, php, MySql to get the data from the DB back into a flash list and on click of one of the list elements, supply additional info about the element in other text fields whose data also come from the DB.

I was trying to create my first application on FMS. The problem is that the client does not show anything
I created the following folder & copied my flv file into it

Then I created the Video Component & named it vidObject.

The problem is that when i See onthe admin console of FMS, I can see that the client has been conneted to the server. I can also see the stream, but it does not display on the client. What could be the problem. Please Help

Guestbook Sample
I used Guestbook application sample from adobe. and modified for saving streams. But now streams are saved in an "undefined" folder.

Please suggest me where should I start debugging.

H264 VOD (sample)
Hi. We have Flash Interactive Server. Using adobe Sample VOD Client and sample VOD application FLV streams work ok, but MP4 streams return 404 error.

We tried the same with our own h264 and flv, same thing happens. All files pass flvcheck.

VOD Client writes "connection error" and we get a 404 error in our logs.

Same happens with other players too. We have tried it with 9.0.115 flash on windows and linux
(progressive download works with same test files. Adobe HD gallery also works).

Our conclusion is that this is somehow a problem with FMS3, but it's strange since we didn't change application in any way, so it should work out of the box.

Has anyone experienced similar issues?

Scrolling With Whellmouse Sample

playing around with the MX scrolling component and the new onmousewheel event for IE6, i was able to come up with this simple scroll with your wheel sample.

unfortunately, i have yet to discovered how to make this work with NS, or older version of IE. anyone has any additional ideas?

the text will scroll as long as your mouse is over the swf, i'm currently working on scrolling multiple scroller based on your mouse position.

I am finishing the music for a sort of video that I would like to do in flash. Actually I have the music (as I said) and lots of pictures (natural landscape) wich I would like to join in a friendly way.
