Morphing Boxes(MCs?)
Can anyone explain to me how you would go about getting an effect like this. I have seen it several places, but most recently, here:

The effect is one used in transitions where a box will morph it's borders - they will round, then straight, then convex round, then...well..kind of...bounce into place. Click around that site and you will see what I mean. I would think he is using some math based code, but don't even know where to start.
If anyone knows of any tutes, or can at least me in the right path, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys.
I am fairly new to the flash stuff.
But I am working on an intro... So far doing pretty good.
Ok.. I am trying to morph a straight line into a sentence. It comes out perfect in a new movie but when i bring it into the intro it morphs fine but the second to last frame is black and then shows the sentence. Confusing? OK....
It morphs fine.. A 40 frame morph.. But on frame 39 everything disappears.. then on frame 40 the Sentece pops up... Not a smooth transition...

PNG Morphing
Hello,
I am having a problem that I'm hoping has an easy solution. It seems when I import .png images (or any type of image for that matter) into Flash, it morphs/stretches the images. Example below.
Anyone I have talked to about this has always suggested I convert the PNG into a symbol. But this does not help the matter.
Would anyone happen to have a solution to this?

Morphing Two Jpg's?
Hello all.
I have a question about a problem I can't seem to solve. It's probably something very simple, you know how these things work:-)
I want to morph one jpg into another. I have a jpg of a very small beetle and a jpg of a large dragon. Both of them are drawings I once made in PSP but I can't duplicate anymore in Flash seeing that this would be much to difficult.
I thought I would import the jpg's into flash and somehow morph the small beetle image into the larger dragon image with shape tweening. So I would start out with the beetle driving from right to left and then near the end change into the dragon.
I know I could get it done if I could draw both pictures again in Flash itself but as I said this is way to difficult.
Does anyone know of a solution or a tutotial on how to do this with jpg's?

ive just read a really easy tutorial on morphing one object into another.
this seems to work fine for anything i draw with flash but if i import a bmp for instance it wont tween it

I downloaded Jason's tute about morphing, it is great and worked well providing the morphed objects were drawn on Flash, so I then tried to morph other pics, well that doesn't work so found another tute by Chris; I can't make it work; in "adding hints" he says "press 'ctrl, shift & H' you will see a small red circle with the letter 'a' appear"
well nothing appears; so is there a point missing in his tute? or am I doing something wrong? (most likely), I would really like more info about morphing as it is magic!

Morphing Into A Jpg
I've used Adobe Illustrator to create a title for my page using 3 simple colors (blue, black, yellow) and saved it as a jpg. I was wondering if you can use Flash to have 3 bouncing balls (blue, black, yellow colored balls) and eventually meet each other, and then shape tween into the jpg title. If so, how? And if you can do something like that. Will the movie take up that part of the screen where my title is. Or will the three bouncing balls morph into the title, and then I can have the title sitting there on the top of my webpage in jpg form, not moving, and not a movie file. Thanks.

No matter how hard I try to follow the morphing text tute, I still only get a movie with a load of blank frames then my final frame!!

I have a problem morphing text, it works fine when I just use anything els then text.
How I do, tell me what I do wrong....
I make the text and break it apart.
then I make a keyframe 10 frames down, and remove the text from the new keyframe, and make some new text and breake that apart to.
then I put on the shape tween.
but there is only something on the keyframes, and no morphing betwine them....
help me it is bugging me as hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Colour Morphing
i just started a new site, and its taking longer then i expected. i want the background to change colour when i click on a link to a different section, and depending on what page its going to will dpend on the colour.
so this means i need 4 or 5 backgrounds, and the colours morphing from each on to each other. this seems like it will take too long how im doing it, manually in one movie. is there a quicker, easier way to do it?

I have 2 different pictures that I would like to morph one into the other over a span of say... 3 or 4 seconds. both pics are .gif files.

Tweening Or Morphing?
hello out there...
would you please help me out? very new to all of this...
I have photo of persons head with PhotoShop cutout filter applied to start with. I want this photo to grow into the original, real-life photo of persons head. Is this done with tweening? and do I have to make two layers? I have tweened text in an exercise but how can I do this with photographs? or can I?

Morphing Photos
How do you do morphing with a picture. I want to take a picture from a small pinpoint all the way to full size. I did it the way in the tutorial and it didn't work. What it did was make the square of the picture bigger but it repeated the pattern over and over. So, instead of making a bigger "a" it made a picture like aaa until it got to the final frame (if that makes sence).

Morphing Out From Page
I've seen it before, where an object, in this case a circle, morphed out of a blank page and was used as an interface.

There is an animation near the bottom of this page similar to what I'm looking for. You can see how the object sinks into the page and then comes out of the page as if the white part was made of liquid. It says it was made with Amorphium Pro, can I do this with Swift3D?

Morphing Flash?

I saw a website this morning which I was very taken with and wondered if it was made with Flash itself, or whether the members knew of a simpler "Flash" software that could do the job...
In essence what happened was an example of morphing..in this case from a solid circle of colour into an elaborate coat of arms also in the same single colour.

Morphing Text.
This seems pretty simple, all I want to do is morph one piece of text into another, I'm using your little guide thing, here but whatever I do, the little tween thing keeps showing me those dotted lines.
Now, I'm fairly new to flash, well very new. I can only make text fade in and out so far..., but this is something I'm need for an up-coming website.

I have been directed by someone on this forum to a tutorial on text morphing on this site but I still can't get it to work. I am aware that this may well make me look highly dumb but so be it if it helps to find the solution.

Morphing A Silhouette
Hi all,
I'd like to morph a silhouette (I created it in fireworks)....kinda like in the Flash Tutorial "Shape Tweening", how do I go about doing this? (I'm not trying to morph it into anything specific, just trying to learn flash).
Here's what I've done so far:
- created a movieclip to hold the animation
- inserted my graphic into the library (I've also tried converting the graphic to a symbol, didn't seem to help)
- dragged the graphic onto the movieclip (on some instances I've also tried 'modify --> break apart' after placing it)
- created a second keyframe, modified the silhouette, then selected a frame between my keyframes and selected shape tween.
- I've also tried using the wand to select just the silhouette (as opposed to the entire square graphic) in fireworks, and copy and paste into flash.
With varying combinations I've come across one of two problem, either
a) when I select shape tween it shows it as broken (dashed line) or b) it doesn't morph the way I expect...almost like it's morphing the entire image (including white space)....just wierd stuff at the borders no actual shape morphing. (adding shape hints doesn't help)
Can someone please do a better job than the Flash Help and explain how to do this? Thanks!

hi. i am a newbie here.
how do you guys do the text morphing? i am currenlty using flash mx and what i did is:
type text
break apart
insert keyframe in around 20 or so
write another text
break apart
insert frame for another 20 frame
add shape tween in frame 1
but what happened is the text just changed spontaneously at frame 20 i have checked the tutorials but i still can do it. any help will be appreciated

Help With Image Morphing

I am trying to create site with image morphing, however am a complete newbie to Flash! Anway this is what i want to do:
I have a selection of buttons each button is an image that when the mouse moves over morphs to a text phrase to say where that button goes to, i.e news, links or bio. I have managed to set up the morphing of the images to text ok. However how do i get them to morph just when the user goes over them, and then to morph back when they mouseout. As it complains they are not buttons.
Also can i create each button morph as a seperate .swf file and then import into a main .swf file?
I was wondering if in the main .swf i would need to create buttons types for each of the buttons, which are basically the image at the start of the morph. Then when the user goes over the button i play the movie with gotoandplay(), I have managed to achieve something similiar to what i want using this, but not sure if this would be rite? Final point, when the user clicks on this button i want it to take them to that page, i know i use the geturl() method, but could someone perhaps give some more details.
Guys i appreciate the help, and as much details as possible would be great.
