Image Scroller With Motion Blur...HELP
Hi, I'm new here, and I'm trying to do an image scroller where when you click on a link, you scroll over to a picture and the images blur until you get to the right picture and then they clear up. Kind of like the MotionBlurScroller on Flashkit except instead of dragging it, I want to be able to click on a link and have it scroll to where I want it to go. Now I know how to code the scroll part, but the only thing that's confusing me is how do you get the images to blur as you're going to the right image? Help me...someone...please! I'm looking for an Actionscripting solution, not one that involves taking two images from Photoshop (one blurred, one not) and using it that way. Thanks!

Image Slider Or Scroller With Motion Blur
from the movies, top 100 section of flashkit.com, i used the movie "Image slider or scroller with motion blur" in my project..
i used it in a sub swf and and loaded that sub swf into my main movie.. the sub swf and the main one have different dimensions..so i think it doesnt work because of that..there's something i need to change with the coding but i am not sure what.. if possible, can someone check the coding of the"Image slider or scroller with motion blur" and see what i can change to it. i am loading the sub swf into a empty MC, named "holder".

I'm in a small spot of bother. Using this Kirupa tutorial I have replaced the menu with an image. Anyway, I would like to apply a motion blur when the image/menu is moving and subsequently the amount of blur reduces the slower this image/menu is scrolling.

So, I have converted this tutorial to Flash 8, AS 2.0 but I cannot seem to implement the blurFilter class. I am using this page for help on blurFilter. However, AS isn't my strong point so I am struggling to implement it correctly. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

In the meantime I'll keep pluggin' away.

How Do You Do A Text Motion Blur?
Check out the site below. In the intro, text comes flying accross the screen (I've seen it on a lot of sites, but I like this one in particular.) How is this done? Is it just images with a motion blur applied ala photoshop? Or is there some special technique I am not aware of?

Actionscript Motion Blur?
I don't know if anyone has seen the xiao xiao flash movies involving a martial arts stick man, but the designer has managed to create a kind of slow mo 'echo/blurring' type effect when his stick man performs certain moves. it looks kind of like the onion skinning effect, any way to do this? With action script perhaps?

I'm curious if anyone knows a way to create a movie clip of a background that creates a motion blur.

Of course, the motion blur I'm looking for is sort of like the warp speed effect you see in the Star Wars movies. I've searched on the forums and have found info regarding this, but I'm not looking for this exactly. I'm making a car chase cartoon and there's this scene where you're looking at the front of the car. What I need is a blur effect behind the car that terminates in a central focal point hidden behind the car. The reason the warp effect doesn't work exactly is simply because I haven't been able to effectively translate the "stars" into a blurred street scene.

I know this is probably confusing since I am horrible at trying to explain what I'm looking for, but hopefully someone can make sense of my rambling and can get me on the right track.

Help With Motion Blur In Flash 8
Can some kind soul please help me to add the motion blur effect in Flash 8 to a simple movie clip?

I have tried to understand the code in the directionalmotionblur.fla that i have attached here, but i cant extract just the bit of code that i need for my movieclip. All that i want to do is add the motionblur effect, i dont need all that mouseclick stuff
If someone can maybe explain this to me, or try to add the motion blur effect to the Example.fla that i have attached.

I hope someone may be able to help with this one. I attempting to generate a motion blur effect with action script. Here is an example of a motion blur used in scrolling. www.oringe.com However I am trying to use it in the context of a forward motion blur. Basically apply a motion blur to this sites style www.sofake.com.

My problem is this. I have a movie clip that upon clicking a button the movie clip goes from a small size to a large size (basic zoom effect). The transition is between small and big is smoothed with the following function.

Motion Blur Issue
Hi Guys, not technically an Actionscript Issue but I'm moving a MC around using a nice easing function, and have added a motion blur function the the MC, but the motion blur only works if the image in the MC is smaller than 2800 pixels wide... is this normal?? really cant work out why it works fine untill I increase the width of the MC over 2800???

this is my code... it seems to work pretty good. except, that if the object is moving diagonally, the motion blur effect doesn't really work like i hoped it would. It just gets blury all together (thats what the code is telling it to do). maybe a better approach would be to put the graphic into a container and rotate the container and also the graphic inside the container, so it looks like nothing rotated, and then blur the container ONLY on the X axis or something. I don't know...

Built-in filters are used but in a less conventional manner. I also posted this to flashkit but figured there's a whole bunch of people that tend to ignore that bloated and ad-heavy site.

I'll post source at some point once I optimize it and get it functional for most situations. Right now it works for smaller shapes and movement that's fast, but not too fast.

This seems to be a good start, but I need to change it to apply to the _rotation of my movie clip. Lets say for the sake of argument, my movie clip has an instance name of target_mc as well.

Can anyone help me with this? I have searched the forums for a rotational motion blur, but have only come across directional motion blur help.

Some time ago I've seen some websites using transitions made with sequences of photos motion blurred. The one i remember has a preloader with a progress showed photo with a boy (that i remember was the designer) that was drunk on the ground with a bottle of beer and the transitions was used to navigate from his house garden, work room and garage.
