Flash :: My 1st Flash PRESENTATION

CD Presentation In Flash.
Hi,
I'm facing a problem in making a CD presentation in Flash5.I have two .exe(flash made).In the first .exe there is a link which will open another(the second) .exe file.Now i have given the link through Get Url but when the link is clicked it asks for downloading the .exe and does not play the second .exe itself but i want the second .exe file to be played automatically without asking for downloading.
If any one of u has any solution to this problem please reply.

I am currently using Power Point for presentations at my church, but would like to switch to Flash for better animation/transitions.

How can I make the movies go frame by frame by striking an arrow key? THe only think I can get them to do is play all the way through without stopping.

I've finished a presentation I'm putting together for work and now I want to treat my Flash Presentation like a Power Point presentation.

I'm not sure how to move through the presentaton using a key-click? I thought I'd figure it out...but I'm lost. I want to bring each movie in one at a time. When one movie finishes I want to be able to click the "Space" bar and bring in the next movie (slide)?

Any help would be appreciated!

Guys, I really need your help!
I have a flesh presentation (bunch of swf, html, gif, wav files).
At this point I have to make sure that every time I zip/unzip everything sits in proper directories. I there a publishing option that would put everything in one big file (along with the player), so I don't have to warry whether the user has its own copy.

I just looked at the folder structure again, and I see that there is one main directory containing some images, html files and flash movies. Then there is second directory called "images" (although it only contains flash movies), and lastly there is a third directory called sounds (but it also contains flash movies).

I understand that I cannot include html files in flash movie but IF I would have all my html features in the movie itself, would I be able to combine all sounds and image movies into one?

I am building a flash presentation and I want the playhead to work similar to a ppt slide show (i.e. when the space bar is hit, it moves forward, back key takes them one step back).

I have my different pieces of information playing as movie clips on the main timeline. Can anyone give me a suggestion as the best way to achieve this.

Need help. I'm trying to us flash to create a presentation that can be changed from disk (projector) and saved to the users hard disk for out put (printing). presentation will be a template, saved file will have changes and be printable. I have figured out the printing part (imbedded printer driver), but I'm stumped on the modifiable (template) presentation.

Ideally, the template would be a movieclip contained in a flash layout containing directions for changes. Any ideas or info at all would be greatly appreciated!

Where can I go to post a project or find Flash designers to create a Flash presentation for a project I am working on. I have posted a project on elance, but I have yet to find anyone that has examples of work that blow me away.

I am looking to have an 8 minute presentation built for a software app that we are building. I have 15+ photos and a voice over that needs to be included.

I would like to work through a site similar to elance, where they handle the payments and I can view previous work and feedback.

1.) what kind of files folders do i need to start a CD with a Flash Projector .exe File

Am i right that i just need a autorun.bat / .ini ?
Whats the content of this file when e.g. i want just to start
test.exe automatically ?

2.) how can i get sure, that my .exe presentation is started in fullscreen mode ? are there any parameter how to start the .exe

Flash DVD Presentation On Mac
I want to produce a swf presentation to be viewed on a DVD player.
The presentation will be mainly text and include some animation.
Am I right in thinking:

a) I will have to export my swf as a .mov
b) I will have to encode this using software such as Bitvice Lite to Mpeg2
c) I can then burn this using a CDR onto a CDR and it will play on a new DVD player?

Please could you let me know if this is possible and additionally

i) Do you have to use Toast ot can you use apple cd burner?
ii) If you loop the movie in flash will this still loop as an mpeg2?
iii) How do you name your file and get it to autoplay?

I'm a new Flash user, and I've kind of jumped in over my head. Here's what I'm trying to do.

I'm making a presentation Using Flash MX Professional, the presentation has to run on its own(ie, no clicking to advance slides, maybe one just to start the show), and is to be set to music.

I have no problem creating the slides, but I have no idea how to properly get the slides to advance on their own, AND get the music to play with it.

AND, I'm also trying to make a web banner that just fades through a small set of pictures, can't figure it out.

Any thoughts? I'm new at this, so laymans terms would be great...I'm learning, but not fast enough..

I've created a flash portfolio presentation and since most of the images are silos, i had to save them as pngs. The file size is huge, although it's never going to be published on the web, it slows down my animations and makes them jumpy. Since this is all about the work, it has to be clear.

I'm still stuck in Studio MX. I'm putting together a presentation and I need to include some external swf's. Is there a way to have them load in a new window from my presentation so that the user can just close that window after viewing the swf? I want to be able to make this presentation not have to open a browser to view anything, self sufficient. I've tried get url, but that uses a browser, and it doesn't work anyways. The buttons I am using to open these swf's are movie clips as well. Is all this possible? Thanks to any takers. Much appreciated.

I've created a hybrid cd with a pc/mac projectors that I want to give out but
I would like to know are there any restrictions and precautions to ensure that it plays on most systems. I've tested on latest OS X and XP and worked fine but had few people tell me it didn't work on older macs. Are there any limitations in regards to older operating systems, cd drive speeds (speeds used to burn the cd) , flash player options and versions etc...

It turns out I need to build a flash presentation by tomorrow afternoon. I know what I'm doing, except for the actionscript.

I'm presenting a web of ideas, and I want to dispaly the web, but when the mouse hovers over one of the boxes, I want that box to expand and show more detail, then shrink back to it's regular state when the mouse moves off.

Any tips? The only actionscript I know is stop();

There is a code to make this full screen correct? Do I just burn the final project to a CD and put it in a computer and all works or are there other steps involved? Thanks so much!

I need to create a flash-based company presentation which will run on a DVD-Rom; what's the way of playing external videos (.mov) inside of the presentation, since it seems to be different from the technique for websites (the video file will be located at the same place as the executable, not on a webserver...)

I am using Flash 8 slide presentation template to make a computer based tutorial. I have searched all different kinds of forums etc. and haven't seen much help for slide presentations. I have 2 questions:

1) Once a user plays through a slide, if they try to go back, the slide does not play again. The movie for that particular slide will stay on the last frame. I would like for everytime the user goes in a slide for it to start from the begining. How would I do this?

2) On the parent slide of the presentation, I set up my two buttons with the following script:

I'm currently working on a flash presentation that will possibly incorporate sound, video and still images. They'll probably be some animation involved also. We've done some in the past with still images and transparency transitions, but my question is: Is it better just to hard code in all the alpha tweens, or to use actionscripting? Does on have more control over the other? I don't want to develop anything that might not be worth while. Most of the people on my team can do the alpha tweens, etc...But I want to develop a template for future presentations using more actionscript than tweens. Anyone have any thoughts or experience in this?

I'm working on converting some Powerpoint Presentations into Flash movies.

I'm still using MX2004...

Here's my question:

I got the movie all finished and exported and I included some navigation buttons to Play, Pause, Stop, Advance to Next, and Go Back to Previous.

However, the movie will only advance to the next slide if the user clicks on the Next button or on the Play button.

I put a stop(); code at the end of each "slide", otherwise the movie goes too fast. (Since all the "slides" are only separated by a couple extra frames)

Is it possible to make it so the movie just plays through on it's own without having to add in a ton of frames between each slide? But it also needs to be possible for the user to take control of the movie if they want it to go faster.
Is there some sort of action script that will stop the movie for a given amount of time and then start it again?

I need to make a Flash presentation (using actionscript and timeline) to fit on a 42" Plasma screen for a tradeshow spot. Anyone know what resolution or size I need to make my movie? I want something that can look good at HD resolution, but also be played at regular Resolution. would I need to make it widescreen? What screen resolutions / sizes should I be concerned with? I am making a presentation in Flash instead of Powerpoint. I have each "slide" as a separate file. Each file contains several animations, not just a single frame. When I originally started, my plan was to export each slide to an swf and plug each swf file into a parent .fla file so that I could control the button clicks to proceed to the next slide in that file. I loaded the first swf into the first frame, but I was unable to get it to proceed to the next frame. It just kept looping the first frame over and over.

Is it possible to play an swf in a single frame and then continue to the next frame on a button click?

i have a pseudo-dvd like presentation up and running, one part of this presentation uses a loadMovie() function to call up an external .swf file. What I want to do with this is have markers within this external movie so i can call up specific scenes just like a dvd would. is this possible and how is it possible as i'm still not totally familiar with flash...someone said it was possible with markers but how would one use them and where....i'm totally confused about this.

also once this is complete will there be a way or fast-forwarding and rewinding this external .swf file from the presentation.

I have created a Flash Presentation which runs within a container that calls both the soundtrack (MP3) and adjusts for the screen size. The container works perfectly, as do the invididual movies, but when I run them in the container, the background of the container displays momentarily as the movie loads which messes up the smooth transitions from one movie to the next. Any suggestions on how I prevent the container showing through between movies?

I'm creating a presentation to go along with an awards ceremony. Basically the animation stays the same, but it wil be repeated about 30 times with the only changes being the names of the winner and the name of the category.
Is there a way to do this without having to create every instance of the animation separately? I.e. create1 instance of the animation and dynamically change the names?

I am in the process of making an interactive presentation that is 28 slides long (or 28 frames long). Each of the 28 slides will have its own audio associated with it. I would like the audio to be embedded into the movie such that when you enter a new frame, the previous frame's audio stops, and returns to a "ready" position (in case the user goes back to the slide)

Additionally, I don't want to load the mp3s form an external source. Everything should be contained inside the movie.

Any help on how to get this thing working would be greatly appreciated!
