hi buddies,

actually i need to detect which button have been clicked 1st in flash form by using javascript. i have 4 html page:

1. form.html - which include a flash form with 2 buttons n some input field.
2. a.html - will appear at the right frame of main.html when btn1 been clicked.
3. b.html - will appear at the right frame of main.html when btn2 been clicked.
4. main.html

From the form.html(single page), i need to detect which button have been clicked first. Let said, if i clicked btn1first, a.html will appear on the right frame of main.html, n form.html will straight away be insert into the left frame of main.html, same thing happen if i clicked btn2 first. However if i clicked 2nd btn fist, b.html will appear at the right frame of main.html, n then when i click btn1after that, a.html will appear at the bottom right frame of main.html, so the right side of main.html will become 2 row of frames, therefore, main.html will have 3 frames after both buttons been clicked.

Is it possible to do so? n how do to work it out? BTW, the input data must not be change when the form.html become 1 part of main.html.

("A.html" + "A.swf")

2--When i click this button a new browser window must open "FULL SCREEN". ("B.html" + "B.swf" in it.)

3--This browser window ("B.html") must always stay on top of all window's (Like "A.html" and all other window's.)

4--In the full-screen window ("B.html"):
Movie ("B.swf") has two buttons on stage:
--The first button loads a new movie ("C.swf") in the full-screen page. ("B.html")
--The second button opens a pop-up window. ("pop_up.html")

5--The pop-up window ("pop_up.html") must always stay on top of the full-screen window. ("B.html")

If someone can help me with this i would be very grateful.

Hi. I am trying to make flash based navigation for a website. I wanted to use frames to put my navigation alongside of my content, and use the buttons to load new html content into the main frame. My button refuses to open content in the frame - always opening it in a new window.

This is the code for the button i'm using:

Is it possible to open an html page in a flash movie?

More specifically, I am using geturl ('http://path/to/script', '_self', 'post');

don't think that is exact syntax cause I'm not looking at the script but it's about right.

Anyway that script is processing some variables, but the bad thing is that it's doing it in a completely different page. So the user has a hard time getting back to the movie after the processing is done. I'm trying to figure out a way for this to happen but the user not leave the movie and one way I thought of was to have the page show up on like frame 50 or something. then I could put a back button in. So in a nutshell, is it possible to open up yahoo.com (for example) in a flash frame?

I'm building a website with a flash navigation. I want to know how to use the buttons on my flash movie to open a web page. I am using the geturl
method something like buttonname.onPress{geturl(webpage, frame, "")}
please excuse the syntax, I'm new to this. Anyway I am not getting a response from the button, also the site uses frames. the flash movie is in the top frame and the buttons should open the requested pages in the main or bottom frame. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Alias Text Blurs After Clicking On Button To Go To Next Frame
i'm getting really frustrated--have spend waaaay too much time on this. The task at hand: animate a poem. SO. The font must readable as justified text, it then must animate to reveal a second poem inside the text block.

the problem: the first keyframe is crystal clear. The second keyframe, which is the EXACT same image (and arrived at via a button) is BLURRED.

My verdana 10 alias text is positioned on whole numbers on the x/y coord, so this isn't the issue. I am completely baffled as to why this text image mysteriously blurrs after the button goto action on the next keyframe.

Please HELP. I'm poor and I need this job!

p.s. since each letter animates in this poem, I've made each letter of the alphabet a symbol and then realigned them over a text guide layer! Am i just stupid or was there an easier way to do this?

I’ve created a button in Flash CS3 which has been imported into Dreamweaver CS3. The button works fine in preview (with Internet Explorer) but opens in a new window. How do I get it to open in the same window, on the same page?

The code that has been written to the button’s action-script 3.0 (in a separate layer) in Flash is:

I have an HTML page which I want to link to a flash movie. Within the HTML page there are 5 buttons, I want these 5 buttons to point to the same flash movie but to different points throughout the timeline of the movie.

I just purchased a flash template and i am having the html versions of the same. I am replacing the text in the html but i don't want to loose the look and feel of the template so i want to make sure that it will open the same flash pop up which was there and coded in the original fla.

I created a button in flash with link that loads a pages into a html frame.

Everything works fine locally.
However, whenever i upload it to the server, it does not work. it loads the html page with the another flash menu into the frame.

this is the action i used for the menu, and i believe it's right..

(My main flash movie is being called with in an HTML frameset...)

But when i click the link to open the new window, it opens in the frame, not in a new window...

Loading HTML In Second Frame From Flash Button
Hi All,

im sorry to bother you, and this could be something else.. but i have a problem, i cannot seem to work it out at all. i have been on at this for over 3 weeks, and still no solution.

I am completing a website for a client.

as you will see the page consists of two frames, _top and _main.

in the top frame is a flash banner, and in the bottom frame php coding.

Now.. the site works fine. for me, and for many other visitors who have visited the site, and we have no problems, however.

When my client, visits the site. and clicks on one of the flash buttons, the page that should open in the bottom window, actually opens in the whole page. So the frames disapear..

Now the funny thing is that

when he clicks on the link to the site through MSN, it works fine.. but if he types in the url it doesnt, and it generates the above error..

Of course, if the site is not working, then i dont get paid. and this really has me stumped. I have tried moving servers. recoding the flash, and allsorts but still he gets the error.. The funny thing is. It is not only him..

His friend gets exactly the same problem.

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated..

I have a print button in 'nav' but I want to print the frame 'main'.

I was wondering if anyone knows how you can make a flash button load and html page into a seperate frame.

example: Flash navigation bar resides in a top frame in html.
the html pages load below in the main frame. Clicking the flash button loads the html page in the bottom frame.

if anyone knows how to do this I would greatly appriciate it.

If you click on rates, it brings you to a split frame html set. the new menu up top currently just sends the user back to the index.html that embeds the flash file stellar3.swf which all the other links are part of.

How can each button of my rates menu target the correct html then target the correct frame (which have frame labels main, pics, services, & contact in quotes) of that swf? Making sure it all happens in the "_parent" frame of html. Been searching the forums and still need help. Shouldn't be too difficult right?
