hey, im trying to have multiple buttons where there shape changes if you click on one, then if you click on another it reverts back, however im stuck... ive attached the file im working on

Hello, im trying for disable the right botton action in a flash used as active desktop. How can i do this? The problem is that flash take control of your desktop and you cant use the windows right click menu over the desktop.

Botton Effects
Hi all,

I'm just wondering if there is any tutorial for botton effects?

This is what I wanna do,

- 5 bottons with a fade in effect

- The bottons are fadeing in like a serie, ec. first the Home botton fade in and when its done the next botton fades in, and so one..

- And on (roll over) the text on the botton, sakes or something like that.

I have problem to making this work, I don't really know how to do this.

Botton: Mouse Out?
Hi everybody.

I'm working on a Flash menu, and I've made some buttons, there has a effect when I turn the mouse over them; a effect with some lines going around the written stuff...

But I think, that it could be very nice, if the lines would draw back to the start point, they original started on.

In short, If we have some lines their extend when I put the mouse over the button, I would like if the lines would draw back to the beginning point, when I remove the mouse cursor...

Can that be done, and if it can, is it with an ActionScript or just a simple Button command or what?

I the Button edit area; there is only 4 items:

Up
Over
Down
And the last one: Hit

But what about remove or out?

I've try to look in the ActionScript library for something to use, because, i slightly remember to have seen such a function before, somewhere...

I have made a small flash-movie and now I want it to be a link that other can have on there site.

But how can I make my flash-movie to work as a link?
Can I add a big invisible button over the entire flash-movie with a
on(release){getURL("mysite","_blank");}
???

I really hope someone can help me!!... And remember.. This is my first time using Flash MX or just playing with flash ever!

Botton - Movie / Control
I have 3 buttons and three movie clips.

Button 1 plays =MC_1
Button 2 plays =MC_2
Button 3 plays =MC_3

If MC_1 or MC_2 is playing, when I press button 3, how do I tell button three to stop playing MC_1 or MC_2 if one of them is playing?

In other words, what is the action script I assign the buttons that tells them to stop playing the other SPECIFIC movies? Not all movie clips ... just certain ones IF they are playing.

Even better ... is there an action script that says IF MC_1 OR MC_2 is playing ... play frame 300 of THEIR movie ... but only if they are currently open?

Newbie Help. Press Botton Only Once.
I´m a student in sweden that is doing a project in flash.

I have done a jeopardy game where i only what to be able to click a botton once. ex. you shouldent be albe to get the same question twise...

I figured I some kind of varible to save which of the bottons that has been pressed. But o don´t have a clue on how this is done!

And how i then should make the pressed bottons disabled.

please help me!

Curser On Rolling Over A Botton
recently in some movies i see roll overs in with the mouse pointer changes to a "hand" like one in windows .are they simple buttons in newer versions of flash? i use flash MX of wich the roll over button shows an ugli "hand" as curser.

so i made this button right.
well when i bring it into dreamweaver it goes to the proper sight , thats good.
but i want to be able to use the same button through out my sight with out haveing to go back to flash and change every the button for each link. which i already did, but would rather not keep it this way because of file size and all. ...
when your in dreamweaver you can impart flash buttons from a predefinded list and there you have options to do this but not with your own custom one. catch my drift?

Animated Mask Within Botton
Ok so I have a MC thats does this..theres a mask that reveals an object from left to right..very simple. So I made a button and on the OVER tab i placed the animated mask MC in it.. So basically when u rollover the "product" button..the MC does its cool maskeffect that I made. When I go to test the button.. the button is there..buton rollover the animated mask doesnt work..ANy ideas?

im designing a site in flash....and ive set up in my main scene two other movie clips, one is a menu and the other the "content area," both are placed on the first frame of my scene. Both of my Mcs are panels that scrool up and down.. ok heres my : i have bottons on my menu MC, and i want these bottons to control the content of my second MC....how would i do that???? ...

....ive tried attachMovie...but it only works in the same Mc that my botton is in... i thought maybe actionscripting the botton in Mc 1 to affect Mc2 would that be right??? and how?

I have a PROBLEM!
I have a botton and a Movie Clip(1) into another Movie Clip 2), and i want that when you push the botton, the Movie Clip1), set his property _visible, to 0. The problem is that i dont know how to write the target!
How can i do that???

The other problem is that, i want that the same movie clip(1) activate his animation when you RollOver the botton!

i am personalizing the Modern photo slideshow template of flash cs3.
but when i right click on an image i won't have the SAVE IMAGE option, how can i creat that?
i made a botton that i positioned on the image (image of slideshow), i made various html pages with photo inside then i put this code in the botton frame:

Hi, maybe it sounds like a stupid question to you but anyways..

try to click on the numbers at the lower right hand coner, and then go click the back button in your broswer, the page will go back one by one in the order of what you clicked just before, works like HTML page...how can we do that?...does it work with Javascript? or we can just do it within Flash?..I'm so excited about it right now, please advice, thanks a lot!!!

Help With Continuous Scroll Of Dynamic Text On Botton Roll Over ?
I have a dynamic text box and two bottons to scroll the text. but the buttons only scroll one line at a time. I need them to continuously scroll down.
Please walk me through this.
I saw a post that said this could be done thru certian actionscripting, which was places on the movice clip the text was in. But my text box is in inside a movie clip, and when i tried to put it inside of one, the text did not load anymore.

so please walk me through the simplest way to do this. i dont need a scroll bar, just 2 buttons that continuously scrol the text on roll over.

How Do I Make Effects Or Graphics Fade Out When Mouse Cursor Goes Off Botton?
Say I have a circle pop up around a button when the mouse is over it. How would I get the circle to fade out, instead of just disappearing, when I take the mouse cursor off of it? Thanks.

Load Movie With Print Botton In Main Movie
I load a movie (movie1.swf) in my main swf (main.swf):

on (release) {
_root.contents.loadMovie("movie1.swf");
}

no probleme there.

In my movie1.swf I have a botton with the actionscript:
on (release) {
printNum(_root.printMc, "bmax");
}

This botton print my printMc when I played my movie1.swf
but if I load movie1.swf in main.swf, it does not print my printMc.

If I load my movie1.swf in my main.swf in level0 it worked but I loose my design of course.

What to do....
