I have a page in flash...now I have NO idea how to load my intro on to it...and when the intro is over, I am even more clueless as how to make the site load automatically...can someone please help me?

Site Won't Load
I'm having problems with some of my flash site. They refuse to load on some Computers, mostly Mac's. I embed flash using Dreamweaver 4 and I'm using Flash MX.

Site Won't Load On A PC?
My site apparently doen't load on PC's (I made it on a Mac). Does anyonee know anything about this? Maybe you PC users could try and enter my site please and let me know if it works. Is this a regular problem? I think I've seen posts about it before but can't find them when I search.

Hi all - I have been using flash for some time now and just now really getting into the nuts and bolts of things...Does anyone know why or how this site loads so quickly ? Is there some sort of technique? I looks as if the page is broken up into individual sections and loading at different times. I want to do this; any tips and or suggestions would be great.

I can't see the flash video load in my site(http://localhost/test.html). But when I open my page in my file(E:Websites est.html), this can play. why?

Netscape Won't Load My Site
I have a Flash-based website that can not load on Netscape 7.1 for MAC users (OS 10 and lower) -- especially AOL users. Here's the site to see for yourself http://www.yunaverse.com. I got some code from Mozilla, however, I think it's the code in my pre-loader that needs some tweaking.

Site Wont Load
Once again...when updating my artwork at www.meality.com the .swf file does't load. when i update it through ftp to my public folder. the swf file is even half the size of the original, but nothing shows up. Its a simple swf file in a dreamweaver html page..Does anyone know how to fix this problem..

Even thou Im making a pretty advanced site...i have this n00b question!

When I LoadMovie my forum onto my page, the page is gone and the forum basically replaces it. Is that the level variable?

If someone can help please do it
It would be awesome if someone can make me a simple movie with a box in the midle in which another movie is loaded (like in my case)!

Site Won't Load In Safari?
I recently published a Flash site and have had a few complaints about it not loading when the user is browsing with Safari. Someone said the preloader sticks at 2%. I've never even heard of Safari, but the complaints are enough for me to be concerned. The site is www.redwantingblue.com and any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a lot.

Site Won't Load On All Machines
need some diagnostic help...site loads great on some PC's but not everyone's. http://www.enhancedmediadesigns.com Is this a local machine security setting or is there some problem with my code?I Tested on 5 machines, friend in london says "opened right up, yes great looks wonderful" ,friend in jersey "looks wonderful", dad at his office couldn't even get my site up got measse saying "could not find address". Sister at her office got the loader up which got stuck halfway (which is also what happened on a different PC here that I tried. I triple checked all files were loaded up to server.

any help appreciated as this is business site i just put up.

for some reason...when i keep the scripting to a minimum it still takes forever.

there is a .swf that contains 5 jpegs that were exported from photoshop at web quality..... is there a way to keep them exteral from the swf..but pop up in a window within it?

yeah, i want load only part. for example - on the begining is loading main scene(home) if we click first time on button to another section(f.e-news) in main this section will be loaded and we enter it.

Flash Site Load Up
My site has a flash anim on it. And it is only 8kb big when compressed. it is 15kb uncompressed. But even with this small size. It takes an emense time for it to load up, with a cable connection. Also the animation is all vectors, and the text is dynamic, yet it takes forever to load up. I don't know whats wrong. It is professionally hosted ( by yahoo) so thats not a problem. I'm learning flash, but crap--it's hard, and the process seems to never stop.
I feel like I do when playing a video gave, but there is no end to it.
O.K. with that being said.

How would I get a site to load at least the first frame immediately without
any hesitation or blank screen.

If you go to some sites they at least load the enter page right upon upoad
of url.
By the way I also just want to thank everyone for helping me with my tutorial of Flash.

But here is the kicker I was talking a co-work and they said that both of them were loading fine on their computer.

I've tried it on the 2 computers I can access the site as its bogging down on both 1/2 way loaded, so I don't think it’s a PC thing. The size of the flash site is only 400 kb so it’s also not a bandwidth issue.

I've tried deleting my internet history. I'm not sure if it’s a sever issue or something else is going on but any suggestion as to what might be going to make this flash site bog down 1/2 way through the load would be great thx.

Why Does My Site Not Load On The Internet?
Okay, so I have this great full flash site I made in Flash. It contains 13 pages that have levels that load onto a main navigation page. So, I published each of my 13 pages settings in Flash and HTML and JPG and GIF (not sure if I even need those last two?). Anyway, I went to upload my pages using the FTP in Dreamweaver. Now my flash movie works just fine in Dreamweaver but it does not show up on my website at all. I have my home page in Dreamweaver set to "index.htm", so does that not mean that when someone types in my website address (www.lushmedspa.com) that the index.htm page is supposed to load (which contains my main flash navigation page)? Well, it's not. Actually when you go to www.lushmedspa.com my server looks like it's trying to load a huge file and then crashes out. What should I do? Any thought?

Flash Site Does Not Load
Hello everybody, i have developped a web site in flash mx 2004 only, everything was fine as long as i did not put the files on a web server, i could clic on the html generated by flash in the output directory and the site would load almost instantly in my IE, now if i put the files (3 files, 2 swf's movies and the html generated file) on my web server (IIS) on my network and acces it from another machine i have to do a refresh to view the site (this is not so bad), but when i put the 3 files on a "real" web server outside my network , the background of the site is the only thing i see !!!??? I am lost in the dark.......

Also i am a french guy from Quebec, Montreal, so my english is not perfect but i am working on it !

I'm trying to use a URLRequest to load data from an external website. It works fine if the swf is hosted on site A and so is the file, but if the swf is hosted on site B it can't get the data. I'm thinking there's something simple I'm missing.

Flash Site Won't Load

I made a little Flash site for a company a couple of years ago. It looked fine when I uploaded it. Now, for some reason, when I go to it, it won't get past the preloader screen. It just sits there at the preloader and never progresses. I don't know why it doesn't load any more. Is this because of an upgrade or something? Do I need to publish the site in a different version? I don't understand why it used to work 6 months ago and now no longer loads. Do I need to republlish????

My Site Takes Forever To Load?
I am a newbie to flash but I am learning it fast -- I have been face down in the book - on this site and building and building....

Here it is.....

I have a website I am building - I decided to use flash... so I have been teaching myself to use it. I designed this real cool site -- I tested the movie several times - I designed a preloader to open it (nothing fancy - just a loader) .....

It takes forever to load... now I have sound and graphics in there. -- I exported the graphics JPEG quality 90 -- It could be the sound but it is a loop -- I looped it 22 times - there are only 111 frames that the preloader waits for..... I exported the sound at 44khz --- is that the problem - the sound?

I want this thing to kick butt you know -- I would like to have the quality be real tight ---

Load Random .swf In HTML Site
I have a graphic space within an HTML site that I have created several .swf movies. What I would like to do is have about 5-6 movies play in random sequence with a 1 minute interaval between each movie.

I would also like them to start in random order so that each refresh would bring up a random movie.

I have looked at some other posts, but I am brand new at flash and could use some very basic direction.

Preloader - Load A Portion Of The Site - How?
Hopefully this will make sense....

I am building my own site and am using flash for the first time. It has a lot of images which will take a long time to download as a whole. I want to break this all down to bite size chunks in the following steps -

1. Initial site downloads with one image & text & user menu.
2. User selects my image portfolio and the page & thumbnails download.
3. User selects a thumbnail & that downloads.

I've found preloaders for a whole site but I obviously need more control over the download of content. Can't find a tutorial anywhere, but I suspect I don't know the right terminology to search for it. Can anyone help?

full swf size is probably around 3MB

but this is simply because the client wanted an MP3 to kick at HIGH Quality from the minute the user presses to enter to go the URL...

so i did a crude solution n jus stuck the MP3 at high quality in a movieclip over the entire site which is all inside about 10frames in scene 1...

how do i dynamically load the MP3 so that load time for the actual site is small

as right now the preloader doesnt even show until the mp3 starts.
but the MP3 needs to kick in as fast as poss
