Training From Source: Source Files..
Thought I'd try here.. I have the FlashMX2004 actionscript training from the source book and my cd cracked.

I have't been able to find a location yet where I can download all the code.

It's more a lazy thing I guess, but I also like to have the 'correct' stuff before I mess with it.

Does anybody know where I can download the code from? Or, is there anyway a nice fat zip could be sent to me? (kelly@thumbslinger.com)

I can prove ownership by any means necessary (other than a receipt as the book is old but still viable)

Not sure where I have sent it, but looking for a fla source that can be used to use as a test or exam.

I am trying to view the base class source files but not all of them are where I expect them to be.

Most of them can be found here:

I would expect flash.display.sprite to be located under ..FP9flashdisplay, but only the BitMap class is there.
I would expect the flash.display.MovieClip to be there as well but it is under the ..FP9 directory.

I was wondering if there was any way to access jpg's or any other images from a file and have them played and controlled within flash...

I am trying to create a portfolio template for my fellow students and many don't have any flash knowledge..,

firstly, profound apologies for asking this probably for the 1000th asked questions. Is there and if so, what is the difference between flash and pixel fonts.

secondly, would anyone happen to know of a good source of such, at best for free.

thirdly, is this even the right topic in the right forum? I couldn`t locate something concerening fonts.

Why Can I Not See 'source'?
Why is it that when I go to the "View" menu, it is not possible for me to check 'source'? It is there but not highlighted as checkable.

I've added javascript popup windows on to a couple of buttons, and for some reason they are'nt working. I'm preety certain I did it right. Suddenly though I realised that my pages source looks not right atall. It's totally different on the net compared to the file I have on my hard drive.

I thought it would be ok as I'm using IE?

Hi all,

was wondering whether any of you encountered the situation whereby the client wants the fla of the work which was done for them.

When discussing the project's requirements, it was explained to them that the source is not included, only the product. If they insist on getting the source files as well, do you guys actually make a habit of charging them for this or not ? If you do charge a fee, how much would that be ?

Is there a tutorial I've somehow missed explaining how to find the source code to the flash submissions. I'd like to experiment with them but the code does not seem readily available to do so.

Here goes....... ok basically i want an image slider (not sure if that the correct name) Imagine you have a strip of 10 images and a masc so only a few at a time show, when you move the mouse left the picture strip scrolls left and the same with right.
Ive found a few but id like one with buttons, so that rather than moving mouse to the left you have to mouse over the left arrow so that the pictures scroll. As the ones ive seen without buttons just scroll uncontrolably with every mouse movement.

I hope you can help, and if you need any clarification in what im looking for please ask!

This is the web addy... when you click on the "streambook" link it is supposed to have the bottom frame go to another page and it does... but it doesnt show up. the html source code is ther but nothing else. It does this to me in Dreamweavers "publish" as well... what am I doing wrong?

Hey everyone. I really would like to design a full rpg game in the future. Well with someones help as i am a poor coder. I was just wondering if anyone here at the Flashkit forum had made an rpg game in the past that they would be willing to give me the source file for so I could get a good grip on the basics of my game. Id use your coding and in the final game I will put game engine/coding w.e by your name or company name w.e in the credits. I wont touch anyones graphics or anything i just need the coding from your game. I really need something that has money and the ability to buy stuff with easy edditing of new products and update products, clock with a certain ammount of stuff u can do a day, Life bar with actions on things u go over to lower the bar or HP number, and just the basics to an rpg. One Source Editing
Does anyone know if there is a program or code that talks between Flash and HTML? I'm trying to simplify a process where our Flash content and HTML content can be edited at the same time (using only one source).

For example, we have HTML content that is updated everyday and that same content is also within our Flash files. We want to be able to only edit one document in order to save a lot of time from having to edit TWO sources.

If anyone can figure this out, then you'd be my hero!!!!!

I'm trying to do a bit of free work for a program that people will use to detect if a person is liable for a high/medium/low risk of diabetes. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a questionaire source I can use that would be a good guide. Basically what I'm going to need to determine is this stuff...

10 questions in either a Radio button or yes or no format
Upon completions I'm going to have to do one of 3 if statements to show the risking factors. Either Low, Medium, or High depending on what questions they answer.
In addition if they answer yes for a particular question then to display some additional warning text.

I'd do this in PHP but this is going to be run on computers where there is no internet connection so flash is my next alternative. Any ideas on a good source guide?
