Flash :: Swf To Quicktime

[FMX] Quicktime .mov
I want to include .mov files into my flash movie. Can I do this without converting importing them into .swf then loading that movie? I'd like to have the controlls from quicktime so users can hit play and pause the movie etc. I have about 20 movies to include so if there is a way around importing them and including that movie that would be great.

Can I do this with loadmovie()

I just ahve a quick question..

I have 2 quicktime mov files....one is for broadband and one is for dial up.

What I would like to do is have a graphic (flash) with two buttons, each one linking to the different movies. When the user clicks high or low quality the Quicktime mov plays where the flash graphic (buttons) were. (embeded)

does that make sence?

I need urgent help with exporting a file! I have completed a flash presenation for a client that has sound in the form of a commentary. I have imported the sounds into Flash (they're .wav files by the way) and have added them to the timeline and converted them to streaming mp3's. My client said they could use the flash player but has now told me they need it as either an mpeg or avi. I have tried publishing the movie out of flash as a quictime movie and with Quicktime Pro, which he doesn't really know how to use, he's trying to convert it to an mpeg or avi. He's saying that once he does this the movie plays fine but with no sound. After talking to a few people I then exported the movie, rather than publishing it, as a Quicktime movie and sent it through to him, now he's saying that he can't even open that at all even though it's a quicktime movie and he's using Quicktime Pro. Now, could this be because I'm on a mac and he's on a PC? and second, if this doesn't work out does anyone know of the best way to get a Flash movie, with sound, to play properly as an avi or mpeg taking into account that the client only has Quicktime Pro to do any file conversion? Any help would be greatly appreciated as I haven't really dealt much with sound in Flash.

I've noticed you can place Quicktime movies in Flash. Does this include Quicktime VR movies? Anyone have any experience with this? Any other virtual tour solutions you guys have would be helpful.

Is there a way for a flash movie with a sound track to be paused (music included) when played back in quicktime?

Also, clicking the rewind button in the quicktime player is going to the last frame in the movie instead of starting over. When rewind is clicked again the movie starts over.

Any help much appreciated.

I am building a website for a client who has four quicktime .mov movies to view for his work... I imported the movies to flash which are about 3 mg a piece... when I take them from the library tto the frame they don't play... nor do they play in the library... do I have to do something to convert these? Do I need to compress down from the 3 mg also? He converted from some program to the 3 mg...

I am using Flash MX, and have built a website. I have several quicktimes of animation that I am trying to link to. I can open the Quicktimes in a new browser window, but isn't what I want. I would like to just open a small window that plays the animation and has the loop, start, stop, etc controls of the Quicktime display available.

Is it better to export them as swfs?

I answered of course and it tells me:
One or more file not imported because of the problems of reading

Yet the file of it Quicltime it perfectly opens it to me.... someone has some tricks?

HELP!

I have been searching the forums online and cannot find a complete answer to a problem. I have a quicktime VR movie (its a full on 360 you can view the floor and ceiling including full rotation and zoom)

I wish to 'wrap' this animation and others into a flash presentation so end users only see my framework and menus plus the quicktime vr running with a standalone flash player.

All of the online tutorials only deal with rotation in one axis and involve a workaround of either using separate images or a doubled scrolling image. I require something that allows the user to pan wherever he wants in a full 3d environment.

Anyone know of a solution?

SWF 8 To QuickTime
Okay Folks. I am using Flash 8 on both MAC and PC. I have a very detailed MX2004 (MAC) file with QT movies embeded in movie symbols. I have converted it to Flash 8 (MAC) and re-imported the QT movies (embedded) with the new video features. The SWF renders perfectly, but I want to make it a QuickTime Movie. I cannot publish or export as QT movie because I need to render at Flash 5 which does not support the embedded QT movies in symbols. (Everything must be on the main timeline). Additionally, I cannot export to QuickTime Video because although it renders in Flash 8, again, anything that is not on the main timeline does not render. I tried to use "Sorenson Squeeze," but you cannot import a SWF.

I have been surfing for SWF to QT converters. I haven't found anything. But, I did find a number of SWF to AVI converters, including "Magic SWF2AVI" and "ADShareit SWF2Video". These run only on the PC which is fine. My SWF runs fine on the PC. Yet, when I try to convert these to AVI, the soundtrack is delayed out of sync. Consequently, the video ends before the soundtrack is completely converted. Even if I extract the audio as MP3, it is not complete. So, I can't even align them in FinalCut. And when you try to export as MPEG, the feature does not work.

Does anyone know of a good SWF video converter? All I need is to convert to some kind of uncompressed video file, then I can make it a QuickTime Movie! I appreciate anybody's feed back.

basically in my site i have quicktime movies that pop up and load as per usual.

what i want to know is

how do you disable the ability for the user to RIGHT CLICK ON THE MOVIE ITSELF and save it.

the link to get to the movie is not what im looking for its the actual right click on the movie

i have a load of avi clips for a project i am currently working and i need to re-scale them before importing in to flash. i usually do this media cleaner on the mac. because this files are avi file i can not open on the mac. so dose any one no of any free/cheep software for PC or MAC that will convert avi to QuickTime?

Swf To Quicktime To Flv?
hello I asked a similar question earlier and now I have a different scenerio. Ok I'm totally stoked about how small a file flash will export to a quicktime movie. The original swf was 11 megs and the resulting .mov file is 2.8 megs and crystal clear. Now I want to create this into an flv file - using sorenson squeeze results in an error saying that the audio track was not found - or that audio needs to be turned off to compress the video.

I tried to take the video and audio into After Effects but that resulted in a 100meg video file =(. I want that 2.8 meg video file to work on the website, it is over 4 minutes long and 640x480...its crazy to me.

Questions: Can I control the movie using loadMovie? IE: fast forward, rewind, pause and play? I'm doing my searching now - but I just finished building a custom flv player and now I've gotta build a custom player for loadMovie... I can load a .mov file into flash right, just can't remember anymore--been outta flash for to many months.

Is there another process that I can take to get this file to work in sorenson squeeze?

QuickTime Mov To Swf
I have a QuickTime mov that I encoded to swf. I thought I was following
along to add play controls. I chose the Mojave plain controls and ended up
with a .fla and .flv ... I don't have any idea what I'm doing truthfully.
I place the .swf on my page and in properties SRC ... I put the path to the
.fla and then I uploaded the .flv to the same folder that the .swf and .fla
are in. And what do I get ... no controls. And the movie although 'high'
is pretty wavy. If you can help, it will be appreciated.

I'm trying to learn how to do this:

I made a button. When I push that button, I'd like it to open a quicktime I have in my root folder. I would like this quicktime to open seperate from the flash page and in it's own player. How do I do this? I know it's probably an easy answer, but all the sources I've read tell you how to embed it in your flash file, and I don't want to do that.

Trying to make a quicktime movie, Get an error says this version of quicktime done have the handler for this type of macromedia movie? my quicktime is 6.4 version anyone know whats wrong. I'm bewildered thought all versions of quick time worked with FlashMX?

Does anyone have xperience exporting flash as a quicktime movie? I have read somewhere on kirupa that all actionsscript based animations will not work in quicktime. Are there other limitations i should know about, and are there any things i must do before xporting?

I cant seem to publish a Quicktime (.movie) in flash mx, it is in the publish setting, the error i get is - the installed version of quicktime you have does not have a handler for this type of flash movie,

Does anyone know how to fix this? i tryed downloading the latest verison of quicktime, still not working.
