Can't Read Swish V1.52 Files On Swish V2
I have installed swish v2 on my computer but i cant read my older files how can i change that?

(trust me) But more often than not it will actually be quicker for you to read thru the tutes and you will learn at a far faster rate. Check the tutes out and see whats there. Everyone is eager to help as much as they can--but they also are looking for help as well with newcomers that need help. Learn what you can from the tutes, as it might be hours or longer before you get a reply anyways. Then whatever you don't get, ask about. And, as a courtesy, it is easier for me to say this than Dave, Pom or Kirupa cause Im not a mod---be eager to share and help others with what you have learned, so it is not always the Mods and the others that help, that do all the werk, cause it is werk to punch in a reply, and often times we do this and the person has fled the boards never to so much as respond to a reply that might have taken someone an hour to type out. Thats disheartening, as you can well imagine. Also, as has been said; MAKE SURE YOUR TITLE SAYS SOMETHING MORE THAN; 'PLEASE HELP ME NOW' BE DESCRIPTIVE AND THIS WILL DRAW A QUICKER RESPONSE. SWiSH Lit V1.2 HELP
Every time I export a movie and then view it on my webpage, the images are all grayscale, and the text is jumbled! How do I fix this? I need to know fast! Any help at all is appreciated.

Righto. im having a little trouble with afore mentioned program >8[.

I understand how it all works, but then again, maybe not. I add an mp3 with a fair thumping baseline. I think " ill add a new letter of the alphabet everytime the baseline thumps". and so i do. It works great. words are all in sync with the music. Come to load the SWF file into explorer and it goes waaaay faster than it did in swish and all the words are in sync with apsolutely nothing.

This r0xors my box0rs.

if its going to play at 12 frames a second, it should play at that. Is swish preview slow maybe? I dunno. Is there some better way of queing your letters?

Now maybe theres something really obvious i missed, in which case reply with..

your right. Swish sucks the sweat off a hyenas satchel. Uninstall it and burn the disk.

I want to built a web site with swish and I have look at some websites that were built the same way that I'm intending. My question is are those sites (not all of them)that have everything swish, are each sections of the web site seperate movies that have been arranged or are they one big movie with different scenes ( i know that its all within a html document, I think).

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me with a php contact form. I downloaded it from an open source, because you can not make them in swish, but someone told me I could download one made with another program then import into flash. Whoosh!

Okay so now the problem, I can import into swish as a seperate movie and it works, but when I try to put into my exsisting movie it does not work anymore, can anyone tell me why?

I have made a flash entrance from swish for a client and they have a Mac and say they cannot see it.

basically, ive jus about learnt how to make a link open another window at a certain size (using javascript pop-up) but that involves using the html code on the original page

Swish 2.0
I'm a relatively new Swish 2.0 user - using it mainly to add some smarts to PowerPoint type presentations...

Is there anything in Swish that has the same effect on an object as the "Wipe" function in PowerPoint?

e.g. In a flowchart, I want to reveal an arrow from beginning to end to indicate the flow of information. The only way I can find to do this is to place an object over the top of the arrow and "slide" it off. Very clunky!

Swish Help
I'm doing a title storyboard for a short film. Being on a tight deadline, I've opted to use Swish to do my text effects. However, when I export the SWF file and play it, my font characters are wrong.

Does anyone know how to correct this? It's like it's not holding the fonts I'm using.

Swish Help
I wonder if anyone can help me with a swish problem as I'm new to swish.

I want to create a simple animation for a website. The text will fade in at the bottom left of screen and animate to the extreme right where I want it to remain strong.

I can figure out how to fade in and move out to right but I cannot get the text to remain in place and strong.

New To Swish
Hello I have only just downloaded swishmax on the weekend so I am playing with the demo version. I am hping to buy it soon. SO far I am very impressed. I have never used any kind of flash or anything before so excuse my dumb questions

I have 2 questions really.


1) I have designed a flash animation with words appering from the top. All looks nice. One thing is though, that it continiously plays through. All I want it to do is to play once and then stop. How do I do this, I cannot for the life of me see where to do it.

2) Once it is finsihed playing, I would like to have a button which the users can click to get my website. How do I actually assign a button to got to a page when clicking. I know how to get the button, but how do I get it to say "on click go to index.html" etc

I recently downloaded Swish 2 and am learning to do flash animation. I like the program so far and am thinking of buying it after the two week trial is over.

Has anyone here used Swish 2 in the past and then upgraded to Swish Max? If you have, can you tell me if Swish Max is worth the extra money?

I have www.invisionblue.com/dev/doodle.swi and I'm new at this. I have so far where you can draw on it, I'm wanting to add a clear button so when you click clear it clears what you draw and then either a save button which saves what you made to a jpeg or a submit which submits what you draw to my email. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Flash And Swish Don't Like Each Others
I got a problem with the importation in flash:
i exported the swf as shown in the help, i imported it in flash, i can see it in the workspace and in the timeline, normal...
but when i export the final flash movie, the animation made with swish simply don't appear!!!!!!!!!!!
the layer is over the others, so i dont understand...
if a god of kindness or simply a flash-swish user could help me, i'd... i'd... errr... i'd be happy and thx him perhaps.

i just have afew questions...

I) how do i make "thisisamessage", which is a text in swish, to continue to loop? in the movie panel i have checked the boxed marked loop preview animation, but the text still doen'st loop...howver, the whole scene moves though....

II) In flash, i notcied the canvas size, or the working space is alot smaller then the inter explorer space. is there a way to adjust the canvas size?

III) lastly, wheni imported a swish's .swf into flash, it works, but the sizing is totally different, how do i adjust it back?

Hi!

Ich have a problem with my swish flash movie:

When its playing in the editor its works fine! But! when i use the tryout with browers function, the movie loses all colour, and all the text turns into gibberish! Example:
"Clan" turns into "Yxzc" or something completely random everytime! I tried different fonts but that didnt work!
It does the same when i turn it into a flash movie!

EXE File From Swish
I need to create a exe file from my animation and as far as I can see Swish does not do so.... I have only used "Flash/Swish" once so I'm still unfamiliar with both.... I tried importing my swf into flash but not only did it take about a year to import but it imported all my scene's into one scene, but it also put every layer onto one.... Oh yeah... I lost all my script and my sounds... Is there a way to do this easier?

This is suppost to go on a business card CD and I need to burn it off quick, so if anyone can help PLEASE let me know...

Swish URL Problem
just bought swish.Have a text -prices, want to link to a page "prices.htm" The htm file is in the same folder as the index page and the swf-file.Says page cannot be found.I have written the Url "prices.htm"
Also do You know of any books about swish that might be helpful?
