Text To Voice
Hey guys maybe this is a little stupid,
but I will try it....
Is there a way for the user to wright a text in flash
in an input text field and then reproducing it in voice....
or recording it by the user's microphone and then reproducing it
again...
Anyone???

I have the code below so far but it is too slow. How can I speed up the voice playback?
Also, when I link sounds and give them names... how can I get this software to check different rules of words without the | in the code?

Voice Over And Text
Just a general question to see if anyone can throw me a bone.
I've got a flash (duh!) presentation with a voice over. I've got text that animates in on key words that she says.
Problem: When i test locally everything syncs up correctly, yet when i upload to the web, or test on a PC (i'm on a mac) the audio is either coming in too soon or is lagging dependiong on the platform other than my local machine. WTF?
What am i doing wrong? the FPS is set to 30 and the .mp3's are around 128kps. if that helps.

We like working with flash.. but since we would also want our stuff to reach those who have LD like blind people, the question will be how will you incorporate flash to another technology like text to voice... if any body has any ideas.. u can post it here.

Voice Over
I have several scenes with the 1st and end scene having a voice over but when I click the link from the 1st scene to go to the 2nd scene the voice over carries on. How do I stop this happening? Aslo when i click back to the 1st scene the voice over starts again on top of the one still playing?

Voice To A Demo
Hello,
I have done a flash presentation. In the presentaion there is text explaining some images etc. I would like to have a voice over reading the text. I am going to hire a prefessional one but I have some questions.
What is the best format saving a voice for flash? This presentation is going to be on the web.
Should a make a new movie for the voice or just in a new layer?
The voice should syncronizice with the text.
Is it anything else I should know about this before start working on it?
How big file is possible to be on the web. This presentation is knpw about 5 - 6 minutes long and 480K.
How big could it be with the voice?
I really appreciate an answer.

Voice Delay
Hi,
I recently made a flash movie; and using the timeline and the "Test Movie" command, was able to get perfect lip sync with my characters' speach. When I export the movie and view it in my browser, the sound is no longer running at the same pace as it did in "Test Movie", and is not matching up to the lip movements. Can anyone please tell me how I can change this?

I need to purchase some sort of sound importing device (microphone, digital voice recorder...) and a sound editing program that I can edit the music, add the voice over, and save it small enough to be used in flash. Do you have any recomindations on hardware, and software. I dont want to spend to much money becuase this is not something that I do all the time.

Voice Simulation
This is just a comment to see if there is something being developed that can do something like this.
I´ve seen a website from Budweiser where you upload a picture, point where is the mouth of the character, type a text, and the website animates the picture and generates the audio.
It seems to me that the audio is generated on the user computer (i suppose it because how fast it downloads).
Is there a way where you can send to the flah application in user browser a string of text and it gets reproduced as sound? That could help with long speech online courses, or things like that.

Voice Recognition

I need to make a movie that can be voice driven, I need is that if the users says the word HOME my movie redirect itself to the home page and so on with the other options.
This is for blind people and has to be done this way because its for edutacional purposes. It´s a history CD.

I'm not sure where to post this topic, so if it needs to get moved to a different forum topic, that is fine.
I'm looking to learn a new project in Flash and would like to create a voice chat. this would alow a user to speak into her Comp's Microphone and then get her voice relayed to another computer.
