Flash Site Exported In %age - How To Open It In Full Screen
a flash site was designed to be viewed in dimension as percentage
(width="100%" height="100%
it was visualized in several diferent monitors , with diferent resolutions and survived in most of them ;
however , in some offices , people use browser large buttons and those nasty search engines nav bar (yahoo , google , etc ) ;
In some of those cases I noticed that 14´´ & 15 ´´ video monitors with resolutions configured 800x600 made the site decrease in size so that it becomes illegible.
I thought that the possible solution would be to open it in full screen , thus eliminating the buttons and the bar ;
Your suggestions will be welcome in order to solve this trouble.

I have a small .swf in my .html, layed a invisible button over it to link it to another page.
But i dont´t want it to open a new fullscreen window.

In html i´d use this javascript:

So far I can make the pop up window appear with the image but the window is to big, what I want is for the pop up window to be the exact size of the image and for the window to NOT have a resize button or disable the resize button.

i'm making a website for some people.

Basically, i've got Static Text, and a URL link for it, and when it is published, people click on it, but it shows the link in the same window as the Flash page, and when i press back, it goes to frame 1 of the Flash page which is alot of hassle.

Is it possible for when i click the Static text, it opens the URL in a NEW window instead of the same one?

Getting Flash To NOT Pop Open A New Window
ok so i have a little script on a button that does this

anywho, everything works perfectly.... except for evertime i push that button i get a new popup window. this window is my php script that doesent output anyvisual information. all it does is take my data from flash and then saves it to some text files on my server.

Hello everybody. First I just want to say that flash truly does rock. And I think everyone on these boards rock. We are all flash designers and I think that is really really cool.

This is what I am trying to do.

I am trying to build a flash project that has a few pages that are within the same scene by using labels and actionscript, easy enough. What I am not sure how to do is link to a page in lets say an html folder to my flash project.

In other words if i have my flash project called flashproject.swf embedded into my main index.html file, how can I have the flash buttons within my flashproject.swf to open up a new window that is html based or another html file with another flash swf embedded within its source ?

Also, for now the project is temporary I do not have a webspace or a domain name, so i need flash to work as a host of html files would, easy enough to simply upload and test without having to constantly change links or directories.

Basically a flash interface that leads to html pages in a seperate directory.

Anyone ???

Problem is I want to use flash to open pop-up window through JavaScript, the codes works fine and everything in this html I named it B.html. Now, if I put this B.html into a frameset html as a mainframe(bottomframe), topframe called A.html, frameset html called index.html. The script wont work at all when test it online but work ok from local machine and if I called B.html directly instead of called index.html, it works again. I still cant figure it out whats go wrong here.

Open Pdf Files Causing IE Window To Open And Crash
On a macintosh OSX, when trying to open a pdf using:

getURL(./somePDF.pdf")

this command opens a pdf document correctly but also opens Internet Explorer. Sometimes this causes a problem because it crashes IE and forces it to quit.

Is there a way to open PDF documents using flash that doesn't open an IE browser window on mac OSX?

I want to open a jpg file in a new HTML window of a specified size using a flash button but there is more to it....the button must link to the jpg file not a HTML page. I need to open many JPG's for an ongoing job and do not wish to create a corresponding html doc for each one. I also wish to specify the default background colour and alignment (eg. centered) in the flash code so that each newly generated HTML page will look the same.
This is what I don't want:
pages/pics/pic.html...with a pic linked to the html.
The link will be:
pages/pics/pic.jpg...and the html page will need to generate and popup with "pic.jpg" inside it...on the fly.

I would be forever indebted if someone were to respond!

1. View an external image in a mask in Flash...(this is no problem)

PROBLEM:

I've posted this before but nobody responded. SOMEONE must have had a similar problem. I'll mention it again:

I have a website that works like this. There is a Flash movie that contains the navigation. When you click on a button, say, "Portfolio" it loads a movie called portfolio into an empty MC in the main movie clip (the one with the navigation). From the Portfolio clip, you can click on an item from the portfolio, say a "Sample Site" - That then opens in a second empty movie clip. The "Sample Site" clip then has some text about what I did on the site, etc, and then a button which is to open (via javascript) a new window with the "Sample Website" in it.

Now - Of course I know how to use javasscript to open a window. And I know how to do it in Flash. This is where the problem comes in. There's no trouble running this in Netscape, or even on Internet Explorer from my hard drive. But when it's online, in Internet Explorer nothing happens when I click on the button to open a new window via javascript.

Nothing happens..Not even a javascript error. But when I view it on my hard drive with IE it works just fine. Netscape works fine with it both on my hard drive and on the web.

So can anyone tell me why it won't work in IE 6 when it's online?!?! It's driving me mad.

Go to the Portfolio button, then click on "Expiry Christmas Card 2002" - You'll see a thumbnail of the project. Click on that and a pop up window with the Movie should pop up....But it doesn't.

I want to use a dynamic text box to upload updates I've made to the site. I was wondering if I could put any type of coding in the text file to allow the link to open a flash window. Say I have a link, and I want it to open a window in flash for a 8-ball flash movie. I guess I could put the 8-ball flash movie in html and then have the link just go to that html file with the flash in it. Is there any other way to do it?

A friend of mine wants a sort of photo album-type thing done in flash, but when you click on the thumb it opens a new window to the exact size of the picture, without all that extra space. but the directory of my abc.swf is going to be dynamic because i want to put this abc.swf into a cd-rom, in which different computers use different drive name for their CD-rom drive...

(e.g my abc.swf is in "d: flashabc.swf" where d: is my cd-rom drive, how do i ensure when someone with e: as their cd-rom

I need to open new window full screen with no bars or anything on, basically blank (it has another flash movie) The actual file is just flash its not on a webpage though.

Im using:

And although a window opens I cannot get anything else to dispear? does anyone know if its possible or any commands to remove the things in this way?

update, apparently get url doesnt work for this. So this must mean there is no way to open a new window that can have no scrolls etc with a flash movie on from within a flash movie. Thats pretty crappy! unless someone knows a work around?

I am using

and I would like for the results page to open a new html window, but when I do this:

submit.form="/services/sale/", "_blank";

it doesn't work. I don't want to use JavaScript, because I am trying to avoid pop up blockers. The form action doesn't take place within the button itself but within a frame.

I am using Flash MX 2004 (7.2).

Which when used with an image and the image is click on you can open a clean without info bars, scrollbars etc...
