view source on my browser isnt working for me. it just stopped working for some odd reason.

i have IE version 6, running on windows XP.

anybody experienced this before? care to help me please?

I've just posted a site I built for some friends

and when I view the source in my browser (Internet Explorer) it shows a lot of the text that I've typed in certain scenes of the site. Why is that? Should I be breaking apart all my input text and saving it as a symbol?

When editing in javascript, you can (sometimes) simply click on "View Source" and see how the person did the neat effect or whatever.

Is there a way to do the same with Flash MX?
I'm new to flash and I learn a lot better from modifying others codes and then seeing what happened!

Well I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand ... great !! Now I will be able to see how my favorite effects are created. But on the other hand ... bummer! I don't mind sharing most of the code I create, but some of it I don't want known.

Here are my questions: How is this done? And is there a way to not allow people to see certain ActionScript?

Also, what do others out there think about this feature?

How To View The Entire Work Area
The center of the stage is x,y 0,0. and from there it goes out in each direction somewhere around 700,700. I want to see more of the working stage maybe like 2000,2000. Where do i cange this setting???

Larger View Of Entire Work Area
My project is 600 x 450 pixels. But I have a very wide image that will motion tween across my viewable area. When I dig into that MC and zoom out to 25% My image is being cut off by the outer limits of the work area. I need to be able to add elemnts that that MC that are outside of that area. Is there a preference or some way I can expand that workable area? When I say workable area I don't mean the stage... I mean the gray area outside the stage. I'm at the limit of that area and need to expand that. PLEASE HELP. UNDER TIGHT DEADLINE.

Simple Yet Doesn't Work When Ctrl Enter To View It
I am using flash cs4 and I have two movie clips frontpage (which is the front of a sheet of paper page 1) and backpage (which is the back sheet of a page 1). I am trying to get frontpage to flip over to backpage. I have 62 frames in the movie which is 32 fps. On frame 1 frontpage is alpha100% and backpage is alpha 0%. On frame 21 I have frontpage alpha 100% and backpage 0% and frame22 I have frontpage alpha 0% and backpage 100%. On frame 62 I have frontpage alpha 0% and backpage alpha 100%. when I hit enter and the movie plays through it looks good on screen, however when i ctrl enter to publish view the movie there is a glitch. It looks like the backpage shows up before it should and looks totaly different when you just hit enter and watch movie.

does anyone have any suggestions as why or how to fix this issue. I can send a .fla file if needed.

I am trying using your trial product in Cambodia to test the Khmer Unicode of usp10.dll in system32 of Windows XP Professional and Windows Vista Ultimate, but I am sad to tell you that Flash 9 Public Alpha did not support with Khmer Unicode in the right format of Khmer Language. Can you include Khmer Unicode Fonts into your Flash 9 Public Alpha? Even though Flash 9 Public Alpha has some error of character spaces with with Khmer Unicode on the design view, but as you press Ctrl key + Enter to test video, it display well Khmer Unicode Format. Please try correct more on the design page view, I hope Flash 9 Public Alpha will fully support with Khmer Unicode.

When using Internet Explorer 6, the msg box does not show.
It works fine on Netscape based browsers and Safari.

After looking for the cause for hours, i found that this issue only occurs when the source is set to a different domain. Which is always the case with URL forwarding using frameset.

How can i fix this ? Some of my clients have a frameset based URL forwarding.

Thought I'd try here.. I have the FlashMX2004 actionscript training from the source book and my cd cracked.

I have't been able to find a location yet where I can download all the code.

It's more a lazy thing I guess, but I also like to have the 'correct' stuff before I mess with it.

the problem is when i publish or export the movie the starfield dissappears and does not show in the movie.

ok I made a site and I want to have a button load a sound by streaming.

I am using flash MX and my actions is as followed:

Some Can't View This .swf?
I just got an email from a friend to tried to view my new home page. She says she couldn't view my Flash movie on her computer at work. I'm 99% positive she has Flash player installed on her computer - a PC with a cable connection... I'd assume she's using IE.

This .swf was built in Flash MX. Do you need a very recent player to view movies made in Flash MX? Its only a 12K movie... I don't think its a matter of "if you wait longer, it will come"...

Hi, I'm testing my site and have no problems viewing dynamically loaded jpg's (via movie clips) in safari, explorer etc. but can't view them in aol. I even went to maromedia site to view some of their showcase sites and saw that any site that had dynamically loaded jpg's were not showing up as well. Any suggestions?

Can't View SWF In Netscape 6
I recetly build a site (using Dreamweaver 4.0), and am trying to include a small (Flash 5.0) SWF that links to another page on the site. The SWF is in a layer that is initially hidden during loading while images are preloading. Once everything is loaded, the layer becomes visible, and the SWF should play. This works well in IE4,5,6, and Netscape 4 (I'm not sure about NS5), but in Netscape 6, the SWF is never loaded. It's been driving me crazy to figure out why, but I'm stumped! I'm new to using SWFs in website development, so any help would be greatly appreciated! The address to the site is: http://www.specialvet.com The SWF should appear in the lower left corner of the page once the page is loaded. Thanks so much for any help and/or suggestions!

why would double clicking on a .swf icon make nothing happen? could it be a corrupt player? there also seems to be the same problem with projector files yet the flash program seems to be working fine.

I can't seem how to figure out what to do so that I can view my flash files in Netscape 6. I published the .fla file and created the .swf and .html files. I'm trying to open the .html file in Netscape. Any info would be helpful.
