Web Site Intro Reel
hi im designing a web site for my friend he is a rapper and he is going to have a show and we want to make a coming soon reel for his web site on the reel ive seen it before where you could see all the things the website does how can i do that does anyone know of any info for this.

Help-intro Not To Play If A Visitor Goes To Another Site And Then Comes Back To Site
Hi there!
I will have either a flashvideo sequence or flash animation playing as an introduction to flashsite. Now my client would like it to play that video only once and never again-that's not a problem. But what he also wants is that the video won't play if a visitor goes to another site and then comes back to his site in lets say 5 min. Also he would like to not have the video play if a visitor hits the refresh on their browser while visiting the site. Does anyone know how to solve this-I guess you would have to use some sort of javascript combined with actionscript? I'm kind of intermediate when it comes to actionscript and hardly knows any javascript... It would be very interesting to find out how this would work...

Need Some Help With An Intro For A Site...
...I made an intro for a web site i am working on and i need some help with a few things - i just started using Flash VERY recently so you may have to describe some things in detail for me...
- when i test my movie, it keeps replaying itself. How do i get it to stop at its end?
- i am trying to make a "skip intro" button that will get the viewer directly to the website. I cant seem to get this to work - can you explain how to do this?

Intro For Site
I want to make an intro for my site www.yammeister.com with Flash but I don't know where to start. I'm currently making V2 and want ::::|YaMMeiSTeR.com|:::: to explode or something cool. Is there some kind of program that can do this for me easily by just typing in the text and letting the program export it into a cool flash animation for me? (AfterEffects, Swift 3D)

Preloading 80% Of The Site/intro
Hey I was wondering if there was any way in flash to preload a movie or intro up to the point dependant on your connection speed whereby the partially loaded intro will only start playing when it's forecasted to be finished downloading before it finishes playing?
Yea, so if the time it'll take to finish loading is less than the time it takes to play the movie, then it'll start playing (hopefully).
Also, how does flash load things? Does it do it in order, so say if something in my library is higher in the hierachy then it gets played first, or if a sound event occurs in my intro then it gets loaded first, or does it just loads anything when it feels like it?
I know that the above isn't worded too great, so I'll try and do it schematically/comparitively:
(some of my concept code, sorry if it looks a bit.. ugly)

Intro For Flash Site
I am adding a intro to a flash site that has already been completed.
The main movie has only 3 frames, and I am trying to figure out the best way to implement the intro. Should I make an external .swf, or create a movie clip and put it on the main timeline?

My intro page is 250*270 and the main site I have is 766*660 I want to start the main page just after the intro page. What is the best way to do this?
to turn them into html and call the html page or to call the main.swf from the intro... or any better way??

This is my first intro... flash intro... i have two problems
1. I need.... no I want to have a preloader with display of progress this site http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/preloader.htm was no help to me I have no clue of how to insert it in my intro.
2. Its to **** big any knowledge of how i could compress it?????
3. Can I temp. mute a sound and keep it playing then unmute it later?????

Putting Flash Intro On Site?
Hey guys,
I just finished a flash intro and I want to put it on my site. I hit "File->Publish Preview->Default-(HTML) F12" and then when the movie started playing I hit "View Source" and copied the <OBJECT></OBJECT> and pasted it into my site at the right place. Now the problem is when I go to my site "http://www.angelfire.com/ak5/wwsclan" the movie takes forever to load, even the loader that I made doesn't show. I've made this thing work before on my other sites, but I forgot how to do it. I think I skipped a step. So if any of you can tell me what I did wrong it would be greatly apreciated. Thx... later...
Loading Site? How To Do That Flash Intro

New to the whole Flash scene. I am beginning to learn Swish and wondering if anyone can help.
I want to add one of them neato looking ( loading site....X% ) flash page? I have quite a large Grapic based site and takes some time to load and would like to add a .swf? page at the biginning telling people the site is loading and giving them a Numeric % as it loads. Mainly on a plain background.
I am new to this flash thing and am just getting to grips using Swish. Any help would be Great!!!

what should i keep the size of the movie at if it will have a button that makes it go to a webpage.... is there an FAQ for this? or tutorial..

Laggy Site Intro Optimization
Working on a site intro with a friend and it's lookin really nice except for it lags during some of the tweens. Would scripting the tweens with AS or anything else help clear some of this up?
I thought maybe there was some tip for mc's, like for text I heard going from 1-99 solved some problems.

The site doesn't load after the intro loads. Take a look if you would like.
Any ideas? The site is size 22kb, while the intro is 127kb. The intro takes a moment to load up, but the site never loads. Ever.

I have been hearing that Flash intros on commercial sites are a HUGE mistake.
I am in the process of designing several commerical sites and have already added brief Flash intros. I added them when I first started using Flash and was "Flash crazy". I'm thinking about taking them down but wanted some advice first.

Fading Text For Site Intro
Hey guys, I am trying to make Fading Text for my flash intro and this is my problem.
Once I finish the text tweens and press play, the text either is already showing or if I move the layers under the background they won't show at all. I did the Alpha 0%-100% and it won't work I am just really bad at flash, doing something wrong, stupid or all of the above? Thanks

ok i bought a flash intro templete for my html site. when the animation ends it has a replay button and the name of the company. i guess i have to add a link for it to go to the html site..how do i do that? i know how to create hotspots/buttons & stuff...but would the flash intro page be called index.html and the link to the homepage...would be something else? i'm confused.

don't yell at me if I got the wrong forum topic - sorry in advance, i'm new here... it seemed like advanced question that might relate to action script.
here it is:
I made 3 seperate animations for my site (the only difference in them is the words used are different). Is it possible for me to make it so that the animations change with each person visiting the site - so lets say one person enters the site and sees the intro animation with (hypothetical) word "welcome" - the second time the site is visited, the visitor sees "willkommen", the third time its "bienvenue". Is that possible? How can I make it?
