Hey, I'm not sure if this is the right category for my question, but in case it's not, don't get all butthurt about it I'm using Flash MX though
Does anybody know a good site for downloading sounds (e.g. for buttons or animation)? Free onces that is..

I'm creating a backgroundmusic class in AS 2.0 that downloads and plays mp3's. To start the music as soon as possible I would need to load 1 mp3 at a time.
I tried:
ActionScript Code:

but it loads all the mp3's at the same.

Downloading Sounds For Flash
Hi, I am looking for free downloads for flash sound fx, i am after, simple affects like beeps, that i can use for buttons, does anyone know of any good sites? Also I am new to flash, so i don't know how i would attach these sound files to the buttons, i think that u go into the actions of the button and put a bit of code in, am i right, please tell me how sounds are linked with buttons. Know Any Good Free Web Hosting?
Hi people,
I'm wondering if anyone knows of any decent free web hosting... if it does exist. Preferably without ads. I currently use brinkster.com. It used to be ad-free and had no probs, but now they force ads upon you and i've been having a lot of grief trying to get my site to work on there (sometimes it loads... sometimes it doesnt.. without me ever changing a thing).
I want to get my own space and domain eventually but for now a free option is all i can manage.

Where Can I Get Good Cheap/free Sfx's?
I am making some educational games for children ... this is hobby not paid for work ... but you never know one day i might make some money out of it.

hi, im currently hosting my site under geocities. are there any better free hosts, ones that might give me a shorter url? i have looked at redirecting (cjb.net) but with the pop ups from that and the pop ups from geocities didnt find it to be worth my while.

Free Sounds And Reason Refills ?
Hi,
im very new to the world of PC music, im trying my best to get together a good sound library.
I cant afford to buy the sample Cd and construction CD and im having trouble finding good sites where i can download free sounds
I want to make funky/deep house ,i want to get hold of some nice laid back sounds similar to the sounds in the Funk / soul loop section on this site. I also want Reason refills but only seem to find site where you have to pay to download

Where Can I Find A Good And Free Image Fader Applet?
I want to spice up the site I'm maintaining with an image banner placed at the top, next to the title.
I want this banner to simply show a number of historical images, with one image slowly dissolving into the next, to signal that this site is about history.
What I had in mind, was a simple - and free - flash applet for this effect.
I have been looking in a lot of places to find something like this, but without much luck. There are some tools around which can do the trick, but none are for free, and many are way too advanced for what I need.
The site I maintain is noncommercial/educational, so I need to find something which is free of charge, and without catches (such as shareware notices in unfriendly places - since the banner is gonna be part of my site's front title they will look quite out of place)
Can anyone recommend a freeware tool which might help, or an applet which can be used to do this?
I know nothing about Flash or Javascript or anything outside the scope of basic html and php, so I need something readycooked, if I can find it.

Does Anyone Know Of A GOOD Screensaver Maker For Flash Files, For Free Or Cheap?
Hey guys, I have to make this screensaver for my work, I was using the free version of Flashwiz, but it crashed almost all the time. I got the swiff saver 2.1 trial version and it works awesome but it is $100 to buy, without it it puts a big advertisement at the bottom of your saver.
I need to try to get this thing done tomorrow. I'm not above paying for one, I can probably get reimbursed, but it will take a long time, so it's going to come out of my pocket..
any ideas?

Trying To Make A Web Site With Menu [renamed]
Alright, so I'm designing a site that has 4 parts (for the sake of explanation)
Part 1 is the menu which will be it's own .swf, which I would like to have align to the top center of the browser even if you resize the browser.
Part 2 is the content which I'd like to align to the center of the page, even when you resize the browser. This is also an .swf which corresponds with the menu.swf
Part 3 and 4 don't have to be .swf's, but are just graphics in the top right corner and the other in the bottom left that stay in the corner even when the browser is resized.
I have no idea where to start and am not sure if this is even possible. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Downloading From My Site
I have 2 questions
1.
I want people to be able to download sound loops from my site. How would I do this?

My website is http://www.cycloidsounds.com I have sound loops that you can do a roll over and listen to them but I think all the sounds are loading so it takes forever to load my site. How can I make it so the sounds will load only when you click on them?
