Linux: Unwanted Black Border On Left And Top Border In Mozilla
hello to all!
As the subject say, I'm having a visualization problem in Mozilla or Galeon (linux). It display an unwanted 1px black border on the top and left of the movie. I have tried any kind of publishing settings and changing the canvas background but seems doesn't solve this weird problem.
In konqueror it display well.
I have tried also changing the margin or paddings in css but without any result.
Any advice?

RE - Adding Border To Shape After Deleting Border...
I have a shape, a rectangle that I drew on my stage with a thin line border. I deleted the border, but now I decided that I'd like to add the border back. When I go to click on border - it gives the red slanted line symbol for no border. When I click on that and then click on a swatch, it just defaults back to the red line - meaning no border.
Is there a way to simply re-add the border without having to redraw the shape from scratch?

? Jpg Pop-up Border ?
On my website I have thumbnail images which I have load a Chromeless pop-up containing the larger image when clicked.(larger image is a jpg )....
Ok Great Flash Knowing people this is the part where nobody comes up with a solution !!
The problem is with the large jpg's which are launched in the pop-up's !! The image's have a border round the leftside and top?
No matter how much I try and fine tune the size of the pop up, the border remains .
Obviously there must be a solution because loads of sites us pop-up jpgs, which fit perfect etc etc..
I presume I just need to add some code somewhere to alleviate the problem....... but what code do I use ? and where do I put it ??
Can anyone please help... this has been a proper pain in the arse for ages.

Need To Get Rid Of Border
there seems to be a border around my movie. i have a window that pops up the exact resolution of my movie, and there is black to the left and on above the movie, and the movie is pushed down to the right, so part of it is cut off. how do i get rid of this so it will size exactly into the pop up window?

No Border?
I need to put a swf in a new pop up window with no scroll bar and toolbars. I know how to make a window pop up. But when I place the swf file into the window, it leaves a small border thats about 3 pixels on the left and top. Why - Oh Why...can't I Get Rid Of Border In Pop Up? Anyone...?
Hi there,
just finished 2 flash presentation for a fashion designer, can't seem to get anywhere with controlling the size of my pop up window..... :'(
I'm using the script Viper32817 gave me on here ages ago, it always works but at the moment I'm stuck... it's a bit of java script that gets called from the flash button and lets me control size and positioning, as well as the scrollbars etc...
The problem is now that I have entered the exact same size as the flash movie for the pop up window but there's always a small border (maybe about 2-3 pixels) around it no matter what I do...
The thing is that for the 'diva' selection I am starting off with pink as main colour but the finish is blu, so on end of movie the border does look very ugly....
If anyone could spare me a sec and have look at what I mean:

Cant Get Rid Of Border

Where Does This Border Come From?
When I publish my site I get this white border about a cm think from the left and top of the screen. The site i've designed is to sit flush from left to right of the browser window and from top to bottom. So why do I get a white border pushing all my site in a cm?? I've gone through every publishing combination I can and re worked my design but nothing works. Any suggestions as to eliminating the nasty white border would be great

Yet another question: How can I get images to have a simple black (or white) 1 Pixel border and have the .swf file display that correctly? So far when I do that (the border is drawn in photoshop and imported to flash as .png) in the resulting .swf the image will have a border on two sides and none on the other two. I suspect that's due to jpeg compression?
I could draw a box in flash and match that to the image, but that looks like too much work for a lot of images.
I could raise jpeg quality, dunno if that works, but wouldn't be satifactionary due to loading time.
Any other ideas?

Box Border
I'm a SUPERNEWB and I was wondering what it's called when a line starts at one point and continues all the way around and end at the same point creating a box.
Better yet a link to a tutorial would be cool. I don't know what that effect is call so I'm having trouble doing a search.
This might be totally wrong, but my idea was drawing the box then making a radial swipe as a mask, kinda like when PacMan dies, but in reverse.

I would like to make a border in flash that i can move like a frame. this way I don't have to move everything around to change what is seen, i can just change/move the border. I know this has been I asked several times and I've followed the suggestions offered but can't get it to work. I want to get rid of the border so the swf fits snugly in the browser with no scroll. Read quite a few related threads on white border around the flash movie and tried a couple of suggestions.
I still unable to get around this problem.
1. I have a JPEG file which is 800x100 size at top of page.
2. My flash publish setting is 800x600.
Added below to the HTML

but the white border persisted.

How To Get A Border ?
I'm using Flash Professional 8. I'm using the attached code to play a couple FLV files locally with the FLVPlayback component. Everything works fine but I would like to have a border around the movie just as a nice finishing touch. I tried to do this programatically but it does not show when previewed. Is there a way I can do this - I don't mind creating a border and loading it from the library if that is part of the answer. Thank you very much.

Mc On The Border
How can I attach a mc to always stay on the right (left, bottom, or top) of any given movie clip (without scaling with it) no matter what scale or position a given movie clip has? Similar to the loading percentage text found on:

Border On A Mask?
can anyone think of an easy way (or otherwise) to put a border around a mask area so that if i shrink the mask area using math, the border will follow. i'm having a mental block.
there's got to be simple way to do this. i can't figure out how to keep the mask area and the border separate and at the same time together.

Border Prob
Well the site is horrible - but I keep changing it for the worse under the clients direction. Saying that I could use some help. He is complaining about the borders. 1 Px Border Problem
I have button/thumbnails which when clicked load (loadMovie) jpgs into a tweening animation w/ loadMovie. I optimize the images in Photoshop and put a 1px black border around the image. The border comes out different once loaded into the tweening animation or even as a non-moving static image. A couple edges will have borders while the others do not. It seems pretty random for each image. Anyone know what's going on here?

Can You Make An Mc Have A Border?
I'm trying to make an mc which scales depending on the size of the jpg loading into it but I want it to have a thin black border. The only problem is that if I have an mc which has the border in it it gets thicker as the mc gets larger. Is there a way of having a border around the mc that stays a constant thickness?
Or am I going to have to use actionscript? If so, how is this done and how am I going to link it up with the script I have for resizing my mc to the jpgs dimensions?

Nasty Border...

ran into a bug in flash, that distorts my image... movement of the image when testing... (bitmap shift - macromedia bug)
fix I find on Flashkit...says to
Add a transparent border around your image (just 1 pixel on the left, front, top, and bottom was enough for me)

Dotted Border
hello,
i have currently created a border using dots, about 4 rows (created using the Grid 3 Texture in FW) going around my window. My content will end up going in here.
When I export this movie using Flash Player 7, everything looks OK but anything lower than that, the dots get a little distorted. Kind of similar to the minimal font type blur if not done right. Would anyone know anything about this?

Can any one help me, I am tearing my hair out!
I want to make a completely flash MX site.
When I publish the .fla as a .html document I can't get rid of the thick border that appears. It expands the screen size and looks nasty!

NO BORDER Around Edges
How do I get my Flash movie, when published, to sit right in the LHS corner of the screen so that NO border appears around the edges?
In the "Publish Settings" I have already tried setting the HTML Aligment to 'left' and the Flash Aligment to 'left' and 'top'.
But this STILL leaves a big border around the whole swf movie.
