Starlight Effect And Zoom Into Jpeg Effect
Greetings!
I am interested in creating two effects:
One is the starlight that runs across the top of text or objects like what you see for Dolby Surround Sound, the Alliance (film) logo also ends with a similar effect.
Two, is I'd like a movie where the viewer "goes into a jpeg" al la zoom on a gradual basis then fade out. The effect of course would be as if the viewer was entering a scene (but of course the pixelation would obviously obscure the closer you got in).

Hello peeps,
I've just come across this site that features an awesome scripting effect that I'd like to emulate. Its inside the site, and the effect is such that the content resides in individual areas that enlarge and minimise according to the mouse position.
My question to all you gurus is simply how is it done? If anyone can point me in the right direction Id be much obliged.

I am trying to create a "zoom in" effect.
When you click on a MC, it gets bigger, and the area of the MC you clicked on becomes centered on the stage. I dont need the "zoom" effect to be gradual, the MC can just get bigger in one step, if you know what I mean.
I'm getting lost! Especially the "centered on the stage" bit. Anyone out there help me?

I'm making an interactive catalogue and would like the user to be able to zoom in on the blueprints that are in the catalogue. I'd like to have two views: 1. zoom in and 2. zoom out.
The way I'm doing this right now is I have two seperate keyframes with two seperate images, (one small and one large) in two seperate scrollpanes. I'm using the scrollpanes because the images are already to large to view on the whole screen.
I'd like to use just one image for both large and small views, just resizing the image for whatever keyframe the user chooses (large or small), however, because the images are already in scrollpanes I am forced to make two seperate images, meaning a larger file size. Can anyone help me with this?

i know there is a motion tween involved but how do i actually zoom in?
when i use the modify>>transform>>scale i will enlarge it but it goes off my stage plus my workable area outside the stage, and i am then unable to move it and work with it, is there a different way?

I hope this isnt a major n00b mistake, but I was wondering if there is an easier way to zoom in on an object in a flash animation than constantly expanding the size and panning to adjust the focus.

I would like to recreate the effect that I'm sure everyone is familiar with on sites like Site06.
I've done some intense searching on this board and elsewhere and have had only a little luck finding any help. I've seen the "motion blur" zoom effect tutorials, which explain the beginnings of how it's accomplished, but not nearly enough to reproduce the effect.
Does anyone know how it's done or where I can find a tutorial?

Help With Pan And Zoom Effect
Hopefully someone will be able to help me with this file. I found a cool flash file online that allows the view to pan and zoom with the mouse. For my own uses, I modified it somewhat, adding buttons that triggered pop up windows, changed out the graphic, and also the zooming increments.
However, I have not been able to figure out how to keep the panning feature constrained by the boundaries of my graphic, which is going to be an aerial map. I want to limit the boundaries to the dimensions of the actual map, so the viewer does not continue to pan beyond the graphic, if that makes any sense. I am uploading a revised copy of the fla, I swapped out the bitmap graphics with generic vector shapes making it look more generic. If anyone can figure this out, I would really really appreciate it!

Sorry I did say its hard to explain. If anyone has ever played Burnout 3 on the PS2, when you select an event it zooms in on the map.

I am curious about the zooming icons effect.. I have seen this done with vector shapes but not with jpeg images for example. This is what I would like to make:
A page full of thumbnails (photos). When you mouse over an thumbnail, the image zooms in and centers in the middle of the page. When you mouse out it zooms out and returns to its original position. All this without distorting the jpeg. So I guess the thumbnail jpegs would have to be separate files from the larger images. Not an easy task I assume..just curious if anyone knows how something like this could be achieved.

I have an image that I has has didfferent areas I want people to zoom in on. I need the area that is clicked on to be brought to the centre of the flash stage and then after that tween scaled by 200%.
I so far have this actionscript that brings the object to the centre of the flash stage.

The selected area moves away from the centre of the stage due to the up-scaling.
Is there a way to scale an object about a different reference point rather than the upper left corner of the tweening movieclip. If I scaled it about the coordinates for the centre of the stage then the selected area would remain in the centre.
Or is there a better way to do a zoom effect?

My problem is that the first time I go from button 1 to 2, I get a strange effect: I zoom out from panel a to b, but I see the rest of panels zooming in. It just happens the first time; when you press back to the first button and then go to the second, then the effect is correct.
Could someone help me out here ? what is wrong in the code ?

I have a movie which I want to zoom in on when the mouse rolls over the image. And when the mouse moves across the image, the image needs to follow the mouse.
this is for a map that has been designed...

Zoom In And Out Effect?
When a user mouses over an object, I want it to zoom in, then when the cursor moves off it I want it to zoom out back to the original smaller size (similar to how the "Dock" works on a Mac OS X). I tried converting the object to a button, then on the over state load a movie clip of it zooming in, which worked, but when the cursor moved off the object, it jumps back to the original smaller size instead of having a nice transition. (Note: There will be a serious of objects in a line...like with the Dock...and the objects will need to be buttons so that when clicked on it will take you to a URL.)
(I'm using Flash CS3 with AS 2.0...and fairly new at it.)

Navigation Zoom Effect
I have a navigation system where I have 7 buttons in a row..what I want is that on ouse over the button should tween to twice its size (giving it a zooming effect).. At the same time all the other buttons should scale down in size at around 75% of the original size...
On roll out button on which the mouse was should tween back to its original size ...and so will all the other buttons..
Oh and one more thing I think its possible in FLASH 4.0 so please tell me the script which works in Flash 4.0....because that's how the user wants it...

Shaking Zoom Effect
Dear all,
I hope someone will be able to help me here ,
I am doing a zoom effect on some jpegs, each jpeg is found in a seperate mc, the zoom is scripted but the loading of the jpegs is not, all images are in my library.
So far my animation is working great.
Then the next stage was to use the loadmovie in order to free the ram, this is when I got the problems. I was able to align the images fine using mc._x, mc._y,
after loading the image.
The result was exactly like having someone hold a camera with his hand shaking. It is totally unacceptable.
After doing so many tests, I went back to the old fla file where my images where in my library and went to one of the mcs holding a jpeg image and converted that jpeg into an mc(an mc inside an mc) . After testing the movie, I got the exact shaking problem (for that image) that I got with the loadmovie.
At first I thought it was the loadmovie or my script, but it is not, I said if I could solve the problem here then I can solve it with the loadmovie.
I got to the result that the shaking will stop when I set the x, and y of the jpeg to 0. But I cannot do that, I will have to do so many changes because all my images will be offscreen
Why is this happening?
I hope I am clear enough. and I hope someone can help it is important to load my images externally in order to free the ram.

im looking for a website that has an effect between 2 jpegs that it is zooming in. somehow they blurred it so it gives the effec that you are flying through that space. it isnt 3d work or after effects at all. i jsut cant find the site now and need it for a job. thanks to anyone who knows.
