Does anybody know of, and have ideally used, an ODBC driver to pull Lotus Notes databases (R 4.6.x) into SQL 7 via DTS? Have tried to use the 'Lotus NotesSQL Driver (*.nsf)', Version 2.06.10.13 (NSQL32.DLL, 10th March 1999) without success. When trying to run the DTS packet using this driver it reports a 'character mapping' error and the process is then aborted. Is there another driver I should be using and, if so, where do I get hold of it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Lotus Notes Connection Error
Hello All, I have opened a new ssis package in which i am trying to connect to lotus notes driver using ODBC Connection. But I am not able to connect it and gives me the following Error below: Test Connection Failed because of an error in initializing provider. ERROR [S1000] [Lotus] [ODBC Lotus Notes] You are not authorized to perform that operation ERROR [IM006] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Driver's SQLSetConnectAttr failed ERROR [01000] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The driver doesn't support the version of ODBC behaviour that the application requested (see SQLSetEnvAttr) Furthermore, I have created the DSN and configured in SQL 2000 DTS to use the same system dsn without any errors. DTS To Lotus Notes
DTS to Lotus notes I must import/export some data from SQL Server to Lotus Notes. I downloaded and installed NotesSQL ODBC drivers. I met no problem importing from a Lotus Notes view to an SQL Server table: I used DTS and everything succeded. But I can't do the reverse process (exporting from SQL Server to Lotus Notes): DTS keeps on giving an error without description and it fails. Does anybody know how to export a table or a view from SQL Server to Lotus Notes using DTS? Thanks in advance.

SQL 7 @ Lotus Notes?
I was under the impression that SQL 7 could utilize any MAPI compliant email application for use with the Mail Agent. I have been unable to confirm this. I am using Lotus Notes for company email and would like to set the Agent to email failure messages to my Lotus Notes mailbox. Does anyone know anything about this??? And if so, how do I set this up???

I am currently working on the SQLMail in SQL Server ver. 6.5 and don`t know how to start. SQL Server is already installed in the NT Server and some applications are using this. The problem is how to send mail and receive mail from a Lotus Notes ver. 4.5, not a MS Exchange Mail. Can anybody provide me step-by-step approach to do this? I have just started a position at a new company and want to set up the SQLMail option on each of the 20+ servers. One problem I see is that the e-mail package here is Lotus Notes. SQLMail And Lotus Notes
I am having difficulty trying to get SQLMail to work via Notes4.6.1 as the mail system. Firstly the Notes client is working correctly on my machine but SQLMail will simply not start with the SQL-DMO error 17952, and on trying to configure it I type in my profile name(which has been successfully setup previously through the Ctrl Panel Mail and Fax icon with the Lotus Notes Mail information service selected ) and get the error 21002 RegCreateKeyEx - #5 access is denied - which seems to be something to do with permissions but the SQLServer service is logging in a member of Local Admins group. Has anyone had this before - there seems to be a painful lack of information about this area generally. Regards. David Shaw

SQLMail And Lotus Notes
We were successfully installed and tested the SQL Mail via Lotus Notes client installed on the server. Tested using xp_sendmail, tested on SQL Mail/profile, created an operator and tested from there, and then we defined a job that intentionally will fail and defined the operator on the notification tab. All of these were successfull and all mail was received. Then we change the schedule of the job to run every 5 minutes and still went okay, all notification mails was received every 5 minutes. Then the next day , we tested it again, starting the job manually. But we didn't receive any mail. I tried to send a mail using xp_sendmail, but it just keeps on running. We tried to open the properties of the sqlmail and clicked the test, but it just hang on there. We decided to restarted the services(sqlserver and the agent) but the sqlmail wont start. By the way we followed the article from this site(Edward Alexander). The version is Lotus Notes 4.6.3 / SQL Server 7.00.699 So, anyone out there who knows how to resolve this, your input is very much appreciated. Thanks.

Lotus Notes 5/MS SQL 7.0 Mail
Hello, I am using Lotus Notes 5.0 for email and would like to set the MS SQL Server Agent to email failure messages to my Lotus Notes mailbox. I setup a profile in exchange (after installing Microsoft Messaging) called "Lotus Notes Mail". This profile actually works.. I can send and receive email from microsoft exchange.. But when I go in SQL server agent to setup the mail profile, first of all, the mail profile drop down list is empty (my profile I created with Microsoft Exchange is not there) so I typed it (Lotus Notes Mail).. When I click on the TEST button, I get the following error message: Error 22030: A mapi error {error number 87} occured: MapiLogonEx failed due to mapi error 87: Invalid parameter. Can someone help?? Does this means that there is something not setup properly in Notes?? Thanks in advance

Setting Lotus Notes And SQL Mail
Hi ALL, I setup SQL Mail to use Lotus Note followed by the “Lotus Notes and SQL mail” instruction from http://www.swynk.com/friends/alexander/sqlmailnotes.asp. When I edited the Inbox properties, I can’t switch three tabs screen and I got the following messages: 1.From MS Exchange Setting Properties: The time limit for logging on was reached while waiting for system resource. MAPI 1.0 [00004c2] 2.From Windows Messaging: The action could not be completed. Windows Messaging could not log on. Check to make sure you are connect to the network and are using the proper server and mailbox name. When I started SQL mail with SQL server7.0, a starting SQL mail session was running forever. I didn’t get any error message. Does anyone know what could be wrong with the situation? I appreciate any input ahead, Stella Liu

Xml From Lotus Notes To SQL Db Design Options
I'm working on project to take data out of a Lotus Notes DB and put into SQL db. there are about 8 different "forms" in the db which will translate to 8 different tables. Lotus Notes has an extract process that will take the data out of the forms and put them into an xml document. There are about a hundred or so fields on each form. I think I have 2 options. First option is having a xml data source pull in the xml and map to output columns. Second is writing a script component to parse the xml and assign to output columns. Am I on the right track? I don't like the second option because I think I have to predefine 100 output fields. But, Can anyone point me into the direction of a script component that reads in a xml file and assigns values to output fields? I'm having problems with the first option due to the format of the xml. all of the columns on the notes document come in with the following format. There are some header fields, but all the details come in under an item tag. I think I can create an xml task with a xsl transform to convert the xml into a nicer format that would map better. I'm struggling with the xsl to do that. Also if I have 100 xml tags coming in, am I going to get 100 outputs from the xml source? Do I then need to bring those 100 outputs back down to 1? SQL Mail Problem At SQL 2000 And Lotus Notes 6.5
Hello All, I have an SQL 2000 sp4 default instance. On windows server 2003 sp2 machine that is joined to a domain. This windows is not the domain controller. There is a domain account domainuser. This domain account is a member of the Administrators group locally in the windows. Also this domain account is a member of SysAdmin fixed server role of the SQL Server instance. The MSSQLSERVER service is logged in by this domain account. The SQLSERVERAGENT service is also logged in by this domain account. Office 2007 (including outlook 2003) is installed on the same windows server machine that SQL resides in. Lotus notes cloient 6.5 also installed on the same windows server machine that SQL resides in. In Control Panel - Mail - Profiles: Outlook is the profile used. In enterprise manager --> Support Services --> SQL Mail --> Properties --> I wrote Outlook in the profile name --> then click "Test" --> I encounter this error: "Error 18025: xp_test_mapi_profile: failed with mail error 0x80040111" I looked at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=263556 I could not figured it out Any help please? Setting Up Email Notification To Work With Lotus Notes
Has anyone setup and used the SQL Mail notification to work with Lotus Notes? In my SQL Server 7.0 class the instructor said Microsoft was going to have the capability for it in 7.0 since they did not have it in 6.5. Right Outer Join With Where Clause
Using SQL Server 2005 I am reporting on a system with 32 devices, each of these devices can have certain events that happen to it that are logged and timestamped. I need a to show the count of each events that have happened to it within a certain time period. This code snippet below works fine BUT if there are no events that happen to a certain device in the time period, then that device is 'missing' from the table. What I need is basically a row for every device, regardless of if it has had any events happen to it (I will just show '0' for the event count) Any thoughts? I'm a complete newbie at this by the way.
