I'm looking for an easy way to keep track of click thrus on a banner. Can anyone point me in the general direction of what I'd have to do code wise?

The attached file is the "random" php file that my forum uses to display its header graphic but at a random stage, What i'm trying to do is to make the "random.php" document so that its one solid image. The parth to this image is images/banner.jpg. How would I do this?
PHP Banner Prog Help.
I am trying to have a banner system running on my forums which run on VBULLETIN. I download phpads from URL and the installation went smooth, so i thought. I am getting no errors, and i am able to add new clients, add banners and view stats and so on. What i cant figure out for the life of me, is how to generate the script/link that i will add to the header on vbulletin to make the banners show up and rotate. I have looked everywhere, re read the instructions which are not very clear and have had no luck. Maybe i did something wrong, which is most likely the case. Anyhow i would appreciate your help greatly. I tried going to phpads for support and they dont have a site or email that i can contact.
Banner Generation
I am wanting to create an online banner generator where a user can select from a number of sizes, background images, input text, and then create an animated banner with a number of frames. The image generation feature PHP offers some functionality which should make this possible??? does any one have any advice or guildence in where I could research this further? or even if I am considering the right technology.

Banner Rotation
i'm making a banner rotation script, just the swapping of the banner!!! is what i'm stuck on all the rest admin side etc is done. bascially what i want to know is it possible to create a code which can continually recharge a new banner every say minute without the page being reloaded, the banners are image, swf and dcr so no image function solutions. i know this is possible with javascript to cycle images but i can't figure out how to modify a script where an image is cycled to a php file that is cycled?

Banner Advertising

PHP Code For Banner Rotation
I'm working on a website that involves a banner rotation. What I'm trying to do is have a variable (arbitrarily named X, cause X rules), and increment it every time a user hits the website. X should range in value from 0 to 4; if X becomes 5 the script should automatically set it back to 0. Based on the value of X, the script will pull up a banner and put that on the page. The problem is, I don't know if there is a way to store variables in a PHP file and then have the variable count be changed every time a person hits the website. The rest of the code is pretty easy, but this part has me baffled.

Controlling Frequency Of A Banner Display
I want to display a banner at the top of our comprehensive information site, inviting readers who haven't made a donation to do so. I am new to PHP, but learning fast, and would appreciate comments/help from more expert readers. My aims are: 1) To totally hide the banner from readers who have made a donation. 2) To show the banner on increasing frequency depending upon usage of the site (starting at, say, every 5th page and increasing to every page for heavy usage). I accepting the constraints of cookies, but envisage that the frequency with which the banner is shown will be controlled by both the number of page impressions in the current session and with previous sessions (assuming cookies enabled on the readers site).

Flash Banner Not Showing In Netscape Browsers(7.x)
I just got my site up and low and behold, my flash banner does not show in Netscape, only in IE. It shows on Netscape in my local testing enviornment, this is why I felt all was fine. the site is at www.derouenfamily.com If you see a blank white space where a banner should be, thats it.. its at the top of most of the pages. Am I nieve, is this something that is known, or is there a simple fix to this. Alot of the postings speak of POSR bugs et al. All elaborators will be appriciated.

Click Counting
I have a links directory that I would like to count the number of times a link is clicked. I currently have all the links being displayed by pulling the links data from a MySQL table. I have added the a 'Count' field to the existing table. The table contains the following fields: LinkID, Category, Name, URL, Description, Count. My question is is it possible to count the clicks once the links data has been printed to HTML? I am thinking of the PHP equivalent of OnClick Count = Count + 1. Or have I got the whole logic back to front?

I have a portal where people advertise and on they are allowed to display their website addresses so that people that visit the site can go directly from their site from my site. Anyone know of a good referrer/click tracker program? I've checked hotscripts.com, freshmeat.net, and php.resourceindex.com but didn't find anything all that great. There seem to be a ton of programs to track outgoing links, but I was looking for something that is used to track incoming links to my site (i.e. if I put a link up on some site it would go to something like http://example.com/click.php?id=1 then I would know how many people came to my site through that one). I have seen this on google and MSN. Google groups has star on which if you click the topic becomes stared... MSN has 5 stars to get feedback from user for giving rank to the pages. I was wondering if it is possible to find out what people click on, using PHP. For example, I have a PHP page with an email link and some third party links (e.g. www.someone-else.com). Php Insert Into A Textbox On Click

Click A Hyperlink To Query MYSQL W/PHP - How?
Like so many questions this involves MYSQL and the PHP (or Perl) layer. I'm going to have html in text fields and there's going to be what normally would be an internal link to another place in the same document. But in this case, Code: <a href="#futherdown">next title</a> is not in the html document. When a user clicks this link I want to query the DB and append/render the queried record on the I guess existing (refreshed) page. What's a strategy to make a hyperlink query via PHP?
