Page Redirection - Allow The User To Click A Button That Sent Them To A New Page
I am writing a little section of a home made shopping basket. I collect information and put it in the basket / db. However, I want to update into a new database the final order as and when I click a button that directs the usuer to Pay Pal. My thought was to allow the user to click a button that sent them to a new page that updates the final order database and then redirects to PayPal the information required for billing without the user having to press another button. Would this be a sensible wat to go about it.

Open A New Page?
I have a small problem, this is my current script: {$_SESSION['login'] = $_POST['login']; $login='You are now logged in <b>' . $_SESSION['login'];} else{ $login= 'Wrong user name or password.';} If the user name or password is incorrect, it will just display Wrong user name or password. But what I want it to do is have the browser open a new page if it is incorrect, for example incorrect.php. Which will then display an incorrect user name or password message. This shouldn't be too complicated, I just have no idea how to go about it.

Orig. Page Open
Usually when I use header it just replaces the current page, but now with this code it opens a new tab in firefox and puts in the page there, leaving the original page in the original tab. What can be the cause of that? code: if ($_REQUEST['returnitems']) { header("Location: http://" . getenv(HTTP_HOST) . "/index.php?section=admin&action=returns"); }

Page If Back Button
I have a php page which is a sign up page, once signup is finished the user is redirected to a new page. Sometimes (and it's rare) the user hit's the back button and then re-submits the form etc. I mean like I said it's rare but still bothers me, so on the last page I kill all the sessions. Which only works if the user hits the back button but the page is refreshed. So basically I want to know if it's possible that when the back button is hit to refresh a php page?

Open And Process Remote Page
I want to be able to ask users for a URL, open that page, change some of the contents and then display that page as if they had typed the URL into a browser. I have toyed with some of the php functions for opening URLs, but what I am not clear on is how much work my script will have to do (do I need to fully emulate a browser, for example). The net effect I am after is very similar to the page translation feature that Google offers. Does anyone have any examples of this kind of technique. Any ideas how much work is involved? (My 'translation' is pretty trivial, so really it is mostly a question of how much work to display the remote page).

Text File To Popup Or Open In A New Page
I have a form which takes user input. On submit, the form will run a php script that will create a new text file using the user input. I want this text file to popup or open in a new page. The problem is that when the page opens it still shows the old text file, i need to hit refresh for it to show the last user input. the html file (greatly simplified): <html><head> <title>Untitled</title> </head> <body> <form action="action.php" method="post"> <p>Title: <input type="text" name="Title" /></p> <p><input type="submit" /></p> </form> </body> </html> The php file (simplified as well): <?php $spot_code = $_POST['Title']; // Open the file and erase the contents if any $fp = fopen("myfile.3dml", "w"); fwrite($fp, "<TITLE NAME=" . '"'. $spot_code .'"'. " /> "); fclose($fp); //redirect header( 'Location: http://localhost/mytest/myfile.html' ); ?> the text file, myfile.3dml is embedded in myfile.html (it requires a plugin to view - it's a 3D world). When myfile.html is opened it displays myfile.3dml but it needs to be refreshed to show the current input.

Passing Information To A New Page With A Submit Button
I've started creating scripts that allow for one page to have a form that data can be added to. A second page that allows some one else to view all the submissions that have been entered. This page also creates a submit button for each entry. Now what I need to do is make it so that only the entry for which the submit button is connected to is carried over to a third page. At this point using variables, each button gets a different name and value such as, button 1, button 2, button 3, ... When I click any of the buttons all the data from all the submissions get carried over to the new page instead of only the data that that button goes with. How do I write the code on the third page to carry over just the data that the button I click is related to? I'm using a flat file for the data entered into the first page. Glenn

Back Button, Page Expired, GET And POST
I have read you can solve the back button problem with the page expiration by using GET method instead of POST. When I use the GET method with form data, it doesn't work. I have a page with a dropdown submitting to a page getting the variable via POST. Then it links to another page, and I want them to be able to come back to the second page. When I use GET instead of POST I get an error.

Refresh Page After Hitting Back Button

If a user hits the back button, then selects a different option and hits "submit", what is listed is the results of the first selection AND the results of the second selection. Is there a way to either: 1. Refresh the page upon hitting the back button on the browser 2. upon hitting the back button, the browser forgets the selection previouslly made.

Make A Button That Would Pass The Form Variables To Other Page
here's some code that's at the top of my page, a form later in the page posts the variables back to the same document and then updates the database. How do I make the page so that when the form is submitted it posts the info to the same page and then passes the same variables that were just put into the database to a page named view.php? or another way that would work was if there was a preview button next to the submit button that passed the variables, but the form action is set to PHP_SELF, so how would I make a button that would pass the form variables to view.php and not to itself?
