Capture PHP Form Data As One Page Html, Screen Capture, Or PDF?
There is a medical office that has a detailed online patient form. When they receive the form data, it is split into 4 to 5 pages. Their online form is one detailed page. Their IT person thinks that they should be able to get their form data as a screen capture--basically a picture of the form filled in--ONE PAGE. Is this possible at all? I've never heard of this. If this is possible, is their software that does this that one can buy?

Screen Capture
i want to do a screen capture/scrape of a page, resulting in a JPG or PNG that i could save in a dir of my choice. This capture needs to take place a few seconds after the page loads, to allow all JavaScript and Flash elements on page to load. It would be great if i could also/just target a specific JS or Flash element to grab, instead of the whole page. There has to be some great PHP solutions for this.

Web Page Capture / Compression
I'm working on an app where a page is created dynamically via a CMS, and I need to save the page similar to the way you can save a 'complete web page' via a browser. I need to save the graphics, links, embedded applets, flash, etc. Is there any way that I can use native PHP code to 'capture' the web page and maintain the functionality of the page?

How To Capture The First Line Of A Text, Then The Rest?
How can I cath the first line of a .txt file or whatever in PHP, using include("")? I need it for this, like, I'm thinking of doing a site with reviews on it, and I want to have one .php file for all the reviews. So that I can open a review using review.php?review_id=photoshop6 Im planning to have each review as one txt file, that I write "by hand" with the first line as the title. (If anyone knows of a better, smarter and faster way to do this, let me know, i'm new with PHP. With MySQL or whatever.) The script should first parse the first line of the .txt file and use that one for title, so i can use a different size of text for it, and then it should parse the rest of the file and use for body text.

Time Like Machine To Capture Website In Past
I want to create a section that will allow users to visit the site as it was in the past. All the data of the site is stored in MySQL. Here is what I'm having trouble with. A few sections are updated daily and a few only weekly. So if someone enter 10 Dec 2002 I want the site to show that days stuff. However if on this day section D contained the same content as 8 Dec 2002 because there has been no change how would I show this? I was thinking of using strtotime() with a -day type function? Conceptually would this work? How would I cross reference or search for the closest date in the past to the date being selected? Should I use Unix timestamp or just getdate() and then plug the values into seperate fields that match for day, month, year? I'm trying to understand the value of Unix timestamp and have read numerous post but I do not see why it is more useful than just plugging numbers into seperate fields for day month year. Thanks for any help you can give me.
How Do I Capture An Error When Shelling A MSDOS Command?
I'm using Win2000 server and IIS 5.1, ... and of course PHP/MySQL... fwiw. My intranet-based application is set up to send specific users a pop-up message when their attention is needed on an action, etc. They specifically requested pop-ups over email. Ideally I'd like my php-intranet application to be tied-in with the NT Login and authentication, but that isn't a viable option at the moment. So instead I track their NT login in their php-intranet account. When it is time to send a user a pop-up message, I call up their NT login and it will successfully send them a message. PHP Code:

Can Imagegrabscreen() Actually Capture Pages With Content Loaded?
In the GD2 library there is a function called 'imagegrabscreen()' and 'imagegrabwindow()', which captures a screen dump of the current window, or another one specified by the code. The only problem is that it launches the function as soon as the page is loaded, which means the target page, which is being grabbed hasn't actually loaded at the time of the screen grab. So all you are left with is an image of a blank page. Which renders it slightly pointless. Is there any way you can get the code to sleep until the screen/window (to be grabbed) has loaded, so it actually contains the content?
Parsing Text - Capture Text Between Two Tags
I want to have text in files, such as {body} {/body} and then be able to open that file and grab all of the data inbetween those tags. I could open the file and go through it until I see the {body} tag and then store data until I reach {/body} but that is a bad way to do it.
Data Form Problems, Html/quotes
I'm having an issue with submiting large blocks of data, plantext and HTML information. What appears to be happening is that when the form is submitted I pass it to a preview page. When I do this I send the data to a hidden input field along with an output to preview the data. Here's where the problem lies, the input field is getting hung up when it encounters quotes. Here's an example I'm trying to paste the following page into my editor. http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/Fulltext_Search.html I'm using this for test submission samples. Code:
Sendmail Form Sending HTML Page

Html Form Processing - Saving Data To A File...
ok.. basically, what I'm doing is setting up a very basic news script base on flatfile storage (mostly to teach myself PHP by doing, which is the best way I've found to learn). set up the php and the html templates first, and all that works fine. I set up the admin menu, and have a edit config script that works great (edits the config and file locations values via an admin form) now, am working on a script for the admin to edit those html template files directly from the admin panel. example template editing form:
Create A Data Entry HTML Form For Given Table
I am working on a simple web site updating utility for a web site. Rather than hard code the data entry forms, I would like to automactically generate them based upon the table a user selects to update or insert into. What is the best way to approach this? for "insert" should I use the MySQL DESCRIBE table command and build a form element for each field according to its data type? for "update" should I use the DESCRIBE command to build the form as above and SELECT statement to populate each element with data, or should I just use a SELECT statement to retrieve the data and use php to determine the field type and choose an appropriate form element?
Processing Form Data And Emailing It In Html Format
I have a form that when submitted it just sends a regular email in plain text with all the information. However I would like to be able to format the email so it is more organized with a table that contains the submitted information. However all the tutorials I have gone over does not show how to pull information from the form fields and put them in the html message itself. They just show how to send an email in html format without any form data. My current code below is what I have been experimenting with and just sends plain text. Can anyone give me some assistance as to how to have the form data submit in html? Code:
Transport Form Data To Next Page
How can I achieve this: page 1 has a form with textfield1, after clicking submit, page 2 is loaded with another form that also contains textfield1. Can the data that is entered in textfield1 on page 1 automatically be put in textfield1 on page 2?
Passing Form Data Through A Page
I'm in the process of creating a new form that stores customer input into a MySQL database. What i'm attempting to do is allow them to fill out their data, and hit 'next' to go on to a file upload form. Upon completing that form and submitting, all information (including their data from page 1) is posted at the same time (so it's all under the same ID). What would be the easiest way to do this? Right now my submit file (submitquote.php) contains the following data (all on one page). Code:
PHP Form Processing With URL Parameters And Forwarding To HTML Page
I felt this query would be relevant to HTML and PHP forums. I am currently modifying a PHP IMAP script which allows the user to view their email via a web browser. I have made use of URL parameters which are passed to the webserver, and processed by the PHP code (better than javascript). No problems so far :) When I have reached a point where I no longer need these parameters, I use PHP header/location forward to reload the HTML form page. If my page was http://www.mysite.com/ foo.html and I was forwarding** to this specific URL (without any ***?myval=????&anotherVal params). When I reload the form**, I keep my URL parameters that were present*** the previous time the form was processed (they are there in the URL_REFERRER). Can someone tell me how to lose the parameters, so I just forward to foo.html. :)

Transferring Data To Another Page After A Form Process
Quick question: Is it possible to copy some results from a form (via POST) to another page after submitting the form? I'd like to use the results somewhere else later on, but want the form to process normally without the user being forced to redirect to the other page. I've got a vague idea, but I don't know if such a thing would indeed be possible in php or not.
How To Post The Data From A Form To A Web Page Of Other Site
I WANT TO POST THE INFORMATION FROM MY FORM AFTER TAKING INPUT FROM THE USERS TO A WEBPAGE( PAYMENT PROCESSING SITE) WITHOUT VISTING THAT PAGE. I MEAN THE WEBPAGE SHOULD NOT BE DIRECTED TO THAT WEBPAGE(PAYMENT PROCESSING SITE). THE RECEPIENT WEBPAGE (payment processing page) RECEIVES THE INFORMATION THROUGH "GET" METHOD OF THE FORM. SO WE CAN USE "GET" METHOD IN OUR FORM.
PHP & Javascript New Window Forces Main Page To Load Blank Screen
I have a problem with a call a Javascript "window.open()" function which is executed as part of a PHP file when a user clicks on an thumbnail image. The PHP is executed which passes some variables to Javascript to execute the new window opening. But as it does this, the main window is loaded which is blank (the browser URL bar shows the URL of the URL passed to the PHP / Javascript script). I would like to keep the gallery page visible in the main page which is where the link originally came from, so the user can see the gallery underneath the "popup" window of the called graphic. I don't know how much of an added problem it is, but the script that generates the whole sites pages is in the root directory, and the gallery HTML is in some seperate sub-directory and is "included" into the page layout (using variables passed on a page click). Gallery script calling the PHP file to execute on image thumbnail click: <a href="php/pics.php?&gal=coll01&picID=01"><img src="img/gallery1/s-dg01.jpg" ALT="Picture 1" width="30" height="69"></A> <a href="php/pics.php?&gal=coll01&picID=02"><img src="img/gallery1/s-dg02.jpg" ALT="Picture 2" width="74" height="69"></A> This passes the variables to the other PHP script which picture to grab. PHP file with the Javascript (pics.php): <?PHP // Section to generate the Javascript pop-up for correct // dimentions of the proposed pop-up. $URL = '..img/gallery1/dg'.$_GET['picID'].'.jpg' print "<script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var Jurl="$URL"; "; ?> window. open(Jurl,"Picture","width=370,height=260,toolbar=no,menubar=no, resizeable=no"); //--> </script>

Embed Php Generated Html In Another Html Page
I am trying to include some php generated html in a page that is just a standard html file, NOT a php file. I have seen other html pages do this by including an src to the cgi script in script tags, like this: <script src="http://someurl.com/somescript.cgi"></script> the html page loads and the script is executed and the returned html is displayed in the calling page. So, I tried this: <script src="http://someurl.com/somescript.php"></script> It doesnt work!!

Comparing Form Data To Mysql Data
Im interested in building a script that would take form data, a variable like an address, and compare it with a known address in a mysql table (called addresses), then if there is a match log the address information in a separate table called (addresslog), and return the visitor to a certain page. If there is no match between the address entered in the form and known addresses then the information is still logged into the addresslog database but the visitor will be sent to a different page. I'm still new to this, and am working through the logic and the syntax, but I believe I'm close. It's still not working, I have all of the proper tables, maybe I'm way off with the coding so I thought I would seek out some expert advice. Here's the entire script with as much explanation as I could give. PHP Code:
