Does anyone know of a function or code that will convert hh:mm PM to hh:mm:ss?
I tried the following but it does not work...
$date = "2007-05-08"
$time = "01:30 PM"
$datetime = date("y:m:d h:i:s", strtotime($date . " " . $time)
This yelds $datetime = "2007-05-08 01:30:00" which the database interprets as 1:30 AM

Convert .php Into .html
I have a pre-made php class that converts html into pdf documents. It can also convert php pages into pdf but it converts it before the php page executes. So in the resulting pdf you get all the php code. I was wondering is there a way i can let the php page execute and then let the pdf class convert it? I know it will be hard to say that without looking at the php class. I was thinking would there be a way to execute the the php page, and have it made into an html page? So this way i can run the php class on the html page.

I need to convert PHP page or HTML page to PDF . Google , and found some tools as follow , 1) HTML_toPDF -- i have tried to use , however for our client website , the PDF aligment is out and the fields are overlapping each other. 2) R&OS --- ok but did not convert html/php to pdf , thus the format in pdf is different as the html/php format which our clients did not like it. I'm working on a project with my own server (xampp 1.54a with apache, php and mysql. Safe mode has been turned on. To do the task as in subject, I browse some video class to see people how to do it. The simplest method seem to execute external program like ffmpeg in PHP. I've added the path of ffmpeg.exe in the php.ini already: safe_mode_exec_dir ="C:Program Filesffmpeg;" However, it still not works. If I disabled the safe mode. It works. Do I need to add more directory in the safe_mode_exec_dir? Beside using external program ffmpeg.exe, is there any other better way?

At present the client has a site constructed of htm pages. The pages now need to include a php script to be run at a particular point on them. Do i have to convert all pages from .htm to .php? All htm pages at present are connected to a template. Converting them to php might disable the template connectivity. I'm trying to create a web page that registers users in our internal php tools db table, our xmb forum members table, and our wiki authors table with one registration form. The wiki uses wikinames as the login, so I need to convert the created username into a wikiname. Registration is turned off to the public, so our board managment will be creating the users. Generally, the usernames will be firstnamelastname, but that will not always be the case eg hyphenated last names. The username will ALWAYS start with the first name, however. I'm trying to write a function to convert the username to a wiki name (2 words run together; each word is capitalized.) The user "Test Dude" would have a username of "testdude" but needs a wikiname of TestDude. Convert PHP 5 DOM Code To PHP 4 XML DOM
I developed a PayPal solution for my client but I have PHP 5.2 installed on my development server. I made the mistake of assuming my client's host would also have PHP5. Of course, they're using PHP 4.4 so now all of my DOM code that parses XML responses does not work. I always have trouble understanding php.net for some reason. I tend to do better with tutorials/guides people write out and show lots of nice sample code. I can't seem to find anything like that for PHP 4 XML DOM besides php.net. I just don't follow it for some reason. Anyway, here is a short snippet of code that does not work in PHP 4 because I'm using PHP5 DOM instead of PHP4 XML DOM. Im making a useless little program that takes 2 peoples names and tests their love compatibility as a percentage. I dont want a random number generator because I want to make it so when you enter the same name twice you get the same result. Any ideas how to put the to strings together to get a varying percentage. I have tried a few things. One i converted both the strings to md5 and then did similar_text() to compare... however the percentages were always low... I want a mixed result.

I wrote this little function so that when I use eval() on HTML with PHP in it (eg: <font color="red"><?php print $name; ?></font>) it will convert the code into pure PHP so eval() works. There are a couple of things to note:You CANNOT use the ' character in the PHP code (eg: $val['value']) as it will cause errors - use $val["value"] instead. Using a RegExp will probably fix this but I'm not yet that advanced . You can use ' in HTML code or in print(), echo() in your PHP code.It only works for <?php ?> tags. <? ?> will cause errors.
