Posting PDF Form Data To MySQL
I am working on a script that will take information submitted from a pdf form and store the field data to a given mySQL table. I just cant figure out what is wrong with my script. I am able to get the data from the pdf form, and set it as a variable so I can work with it in php. It is displaying the proper data when I echo() it, and I get no mySQL errors. It looks like everything should work, but when I check my database, nothing has been updated....

Posting Data To Another Form And Getting Handle Of The Opened Window.
I have posted a form to a PHP file in a new window with target attribute. My problem is that my application should not allow user to post the form again. User should close the window and then only (s)he can post the form again. Can we get the handle of the opened window? If we use window.open then we will get the handle of that window but I am unable to post data with window.open. Any idea on posting data to modal windows. Not as parameters but as $_POST.
Blank Response From Curl When Posting Form Data

This code works fine for strings smaller than 800 characters (actually 795 or so), but my regular string is just under 13000 characters. I have uploaded the script to 5 webservers (including my development machine with Win XP , PHP 5 and Apache 2.2.) and it only works on one. The rest return a blank page to stare at on the curl post. Is this some configuration issue, or a curl issue?
CURL Form Posting To Self Referencing Form Action
I've successfully used CURL to maneuver around and through sites but a new site I've been trying to work with has got me stumped. To retrieve the data I'm trying to get a login is required. If you go to any page in the "member" area without logging in you get directed to a https connection and hit login.php (ie: you end up at https://www.domain.com/login.php). The problem, I believe, lies in the fact that the form on that page references itself in the form action tag. The action tag in the form is "/login.php" and nothing I've tried has been successful in getting CURL to actually submit the data and get me logged in. Not surprising really since you'd normally point CURL to the action target to pass form data. The things I've tried so far without luck are: * Hit the main site page to pick up the session cookie then go to one of the "member" only pages * Gone directly to one of the "member" pages to get redirected to login.php Both attempts end up simply returning me the contents of the login.php page which, obviously, doesn't help or do any good. What isn't clear from the CURL documentation with PHP is whether or not the CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS get passed to pages after a redirect takes place. I suspect they are but the fact that login.php refers back to itself seems to be the real problem. If anyone has any ideas on how to convince CURL to get me past login.php or any other suggestions on things I could try I would very much appreciate it.
Posting Data
I've got form with few submit buttons and one select field. I need to post data to another file or to the same document. Is it possible?
Posting Data
Having some problems with a form that inserts data into a database. It works great.. on all but one machine i've tried it on. XMLHttpRequest Not Posting Data To Php
i have the following javascript code: --------- try{F=new ActiveXObject("Msxml2.XMLHTTP")} catch(e) { try{F=new ActiveXObject("Microsoft.XMLHTTP")} catch(e){F=typeof "XMLHttpRequest"!="undefined"?new XMLHttpRequest():0} } if(F) { F.open("POST","http://www.myurl.com/php_page") F.onreadystatechange=function(){F.readyState==4?ev al(F.responseText):0} F.setRequestHeader("Content-Type","application/x-www-form-urlencoded") F.send("foo=bar&stuff=test") } -------- when i run this in firefox 1.5 the "post" fields are recognised by php, however, when i use internet explorer 6.0 the "post" fields are not recognised by php. i have checked the headers sent in IE and they appear to be correct (eg, Content-Type = application/x-www-form-urlencoded"...). as suggested in another post, i have enabled the "always_populate_raw_post_data" directive in my php.ini file, yet the "post" fields still don't exist.. also, when running phpinfo() on the page that is being posted to, $_SERVER["REQUEST_METHOD"] = "GET" - something is wrong here. is it something to do with the the script above, the browser or the server?
Posting Data To A Textarea
I have a script which produces an alphabetic list of people in an LDAP database (106 people) If I output the data to an "Input type=text" field, I get all the entries in their own form. I would like to output this data into a textarea instead, but when I do I donot get any data. My latest coding attempt is :- <form method="POST" action=<?php echo PHP_SELF>"> <Textarea rows="20" cols="10" name="sn" value = "<?php echo $prijmeni?>"></textarea> $prijmeni is a string created earlier in the script which has the person's surname, and is processed correctly if I use:- <input type=text name="sn" size="10" value = "<?php echo $prijmeni?>">.
Isset Data Posting
I've created a form that uses $PHP_SELF. The first page allows Name, Address, etc (Info). at the bottom are 5 buttons(Data, Data1,etc), allowing the user to select a direction for the next page. I can get the input from Info to post on Data, but it will not post on Data1, etc if one of those buttons are selected. If I create a new file with Info and Data1 the information will post. I have "sessionsession_start(); and session_register('name','address', etc) as the first line of code.'Below is a snip from my code PHP Code:

Posting Data Using Sockets From Within A Script
If a script is sent data, and within the script there is socket function that sends (post data) to another server to return needed data. Posting A Form To Another Script ?
Is there a way to "post" a form to another php script? For example input.php retrieves some user variables then posts the results to another script , say form.php? I know this can be done using perl's LWP by creating an agent. Let me know if this makes sense or not? I know I can use GET, but I want to avoid GET for some other reasons.
Posting To Php Without Html Form
I am quite familiar how to create a php page that POSTS or REQUESTS variables sent by an html form HOWEVER, I am wondering if it there is a way I can post variables to another php page or page in general, with php, and skip the form all together, for example: I have this page that POSTS information from an html form it make $id = $_POST['id']; this page is called formprocess.php now what i want to do is instead of having to use the html form to actually submit this data to formprocess.php, i want to submit this data with php I have a page called send-data.php i want this page to send the 'id' variable straight to the formprocess.php page with no html form.
Libcurl Form Posting Problem
I've been trying to write a short script using curl w/ php but can't figure something out: I'm simply trying to login to a website using a posted user/pass combo to an html form (login.php) that, if correct, sends a Header("Location: success.php"). The problem I'm running into is when I successfully login, i'm watching the logs and it's actually executing success.php but after that's done the screen just refreshes and stays on login.php... does this have anything to do with the session variables that are written to tell the system that I should be logged in? Does this make sense? Below are my opts. $ch = curl_init(); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_URL,$url); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER,0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION,1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_HEADER,0); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, $post_fields); $curl_output=curl_exec ($ch); curl_close ($ch); echo $curl_output;
Form Suffers From Premature Posting
I have created an HTML form that has the form action set to: <form action="forms_orderconfirmation.php" method="get" name="FormName"> My intention was to create a confirmation page with a submit button that the client would select after confirming that their information was correct. My problem is that the information gets posted to my email merely by linking to the confirmation page. It does not wait for the clients final approval. In fact the submit button does not submit anything... but going to the page does. code:
-> How To Read A Form Variable Before Posting? <-
is there a way to read the content of a form variable before a POST? I have a form with a "duplicate" button which opens a new form with most of the fields filled with the values of the calling one. To do so, I pass the id of the form to be duplicated. Example: - I have a form with "Number = 1234567" in a "numform" edit field. - Duplicate has a href=/duplicateform.php?id=1234567 - then the "duplicateform.php" reads id with a GET['id'] This is easy as I come from a displayed form that retrieves its values via a SQL statement and with a specific "number" reference. Now, once I am in this new form, I have a save button to save all values, including the new "Number" the user would type in, say "22222222". The save process works correctly via AJAX and saves the record using a POST action. But then, I still have my "duplicate" button which should now point to href=/duplicateform.php?id=22222222 How can I get this 22222222 value from within the form itself? I have to get it from the "numform" field, but how can I do this? it would be something like href=/duplicateform.php?id=<?=[value_of_field_number]?> with value_of_field_number being the actual value of that edit field.
Posting From A Form Without A Submit Button - How?
Given something like: if ( $_POST['type_save'] == 'Save record to HTGI public DB') { echo '<form method="post" action="populate08.php">' echo '<input type=hidden name="kw_tarea" value='.$tk.'>' echo '</form>' echo '<p>permanent DB updated' } But there's no button to press for a submit. So how do I get this code posted to the action=populate08 ? Without pressing a buttom but just from the code?
PHP Event Calendar Posting Form
I'm using the basic PHP event calendar tutorial that is on this website, and I made a form to add the events. The problem is that the date isn't posting right into the MySQL. For the date it says: '0000-00-00' instead of what I inputed. Code:
Posting Form Variable Using Header()
I know I have seen it somewhere but cannot find how to do it right now. How do I use header to submit post vars "without" a form. The company I work for is using a 3rd party email marketing company (until I can get the time to build a system to bring it in house), and this company is working with me to keep the form, thank you and error page aspect on our site. I need to take the variable from the form and process them to do some validation and then send these post vars off to their page so it can be inserted into a database. They don't do any validation on their side with this setup so I want to do it on my side and use header() to submit the post vars.
Form, Posting Multiple Fields
I have a product list page, users can check the product then go to an e-mail form, that lists the products they checked. On this, they can then chose a quantity for every product, how do I make it so when they send the e-mail, it gets the quantity for each product (using PHP mail, to send)? The field would be: <input type="text" size="4" maxlength="4" value="1" name="quantity"> But that wouldn't work for multiple ones? Would I use a "foreach" statement, somehow?
Posting Information From A Form To A Text File
I am trying to append the results from a form to a text file. My code is supposed to print out the results on one page, and append the results to another page each time data is entered on the form and the submit button is hit. Unfortunately, it is only printing out the message acknowledging the submit button--no data on either form. Code:
Posting To A Form With Image Verification With CURL
this code keeps posting the wrong image verification code, to the form, because when it loads the form again to post the code that I retrieved the image verification code, is now changed How can I do this successfully with curl? If you have any experience with using curl functions in php you CAN help me on this one....
Security Issues With Posting Form Contents To Server?
I'm currently reading a php book that attempts to declare the security hazzards of not screening a form's content before allowing it to be posted, whether to a database, text file, or otherwise. Honestly, I still don't get what the problem is. Lets say magic quotes is turned on. Could someone list the major things I should still be doing to prevent security problems? For example, the book says to use htmlspecialchars(), though how does allowing the user to enter HTML tags compromise anything? The data simply gets posted as is to a database, then output as is Maybe an annoying JavaScript is output, but hardly a security breach to the server itself as far as I can tell.
Curl: Posting Form Variables Results In Redirection
I'm using the curl functions in php to scrape the wan ip address from my home router (the router is an SMC product). This is a two step process: 1. post the password value to the login.htm page 2. capture and parse the content from the status_main.htm page On the SMC's login.htm page there is a form with the following elements: <form name=tF method=post action=login.htm> <input type=password name=pws> <input type=hidden name=page value=login> <submit value='LOGIN'> Here are three test cases - only the first two work as expected. I need to understand why I got that third response... posting the variables causes a the SMC to give me a redirection to index.htm which does not exist? COMMAND LINE TEST (returns login.htm and status_main.htm accurately): curl -d page=login.htm -d pws=mypassword http://10.10.10.1/login.htm curl http://10.10.10.1/status_main.htm | grep 'wan_ip' PHP NO-POST TEST(returns login.htm accurately): $ch = curl_init("http://10.10.10.1/login.htm"); $strIP = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); PHP POST TEST (returns an unexpected result): $ch = curl_init("http://10.10.10.1/login.htm"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POST, 1); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_POSTFIELDS, "page=login&pws=mypassword"); curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1); $strIP = curl_exec($ch); curl_close($ch); print "<!-- $strIP -->"; <!-- <html><head><meta http-equiv=refresh content=Ɔ url=/index.htm'></head></html> -->
Comparing Form Data To Mysql Data
Im interested in building a script that would take form data, a variable like an address, and compare it with a known address in a mysql table (called addresses), then if there is a match log the address information in a separate table called (addresslog), and return the visitor to a certain page. If there is no match between the address entered in the form and known addresses then the information is still logged into the addresslog database but the visitor will be sent to a different page. I'm still new to this, and am working through the logic and the syntax, but I believe I'm close. It's still not working, I have all of the proper tables, maybe I'm way off with the coding so I thought I would seek out some expert advice. Here's the entire script with as much explanation as I could give. PHP Code:
Getting Data To Form
How to create when enter staff no, it will automatically generate out the name in the same form ?
Getting Data From Mysql To Put Into Form
i am trying to set up a page that will allow the user to select a name from a list. The details of this name(ie, last name, address, job etc) are then taken from a database and put into a form. If any changes are needed the user makes them then presses a submit to update the database. I can get the information out of the database and into the form fields but i have one small problem... In the address field i can only get the first part of the address... ie if the address is 123 Sample Street only 123 gets put into the form field. How do i get the rest of the address to appear? i am sure it is quite simple but cant quite put my finger on the answer! my code is: Address: <input type="Text" name="address" value =<?php echo $myrow["address"] ?>><br> where $myrow is the array holding the results from my database query. Any help would be appreciated!
Post Data W/out Form
I want to post variables to a php script, but I do not want to use a form to do this... is there some sort of header I can use to redirect and post values to another page? Cookies and sessions are not an option, URL line ('get') variables can't hold large enough a string...
How To Use GnUPG With Form Data
I am looking to encrypt form data that is submitted over an SSL and send that via email to my client. I understand some of the basic encryption processes, but could someone help me understand : 1. How to encrypt the data with GnUPG before it is emailed. 2. What does my client need to be able to decrypt the data? 3. My web host currently offers GnUPG so I can generate the keys - what do I do next? I have done some searching here already but I could use some getting started help.
Reload Form Data
I am developing a web site using php. I have a form for login in page1, which has two input box and a submit button. When I click the submit button in page1, it runs page2. When I click BACK button(now in page1), and FORWARD button (supposed to be in page2). Both IE and Netscape give me a message like the following (note: the browser cache is not turned off either by php header() or by browser setting): ********************************************* This document resulted from a POST operation and has expired from the cache. If you wish you can repost the form data to recreate the document by pressing the reload button. ********************************************* When I press the RELOAD button, page2 is load correctly. Now, how can let the browser automatically do the reload without showing me the above message?
Inserting Data Using A Form
I created a script to allow the user to select the number of images to enter. After that the script generates the entry fields dynamically. The final step is entering all images into one column in the db called images. The problem is i got it to work using an advice from someone at devshed forums to use some additonal script. Please see below. 1) HTML File that allows you to enter the number of text boxes to create for each image you want. <FORM METHOD="POST" ACTION="do_show.php"> <P><strong>Number of images:</strong><br> <INPUT TYPE="text" NAME="num_imgs" SIZE=5></p> <P><INPUT TYPE="submit" NAME="submit" VALUE="Go to Step 2"></p> </FORM> 2) PHP file that shows the created text boxes for you to enter the names of these images:
Problem With Form Data.
I have a form that I need to be able to input html, such as < a href="blah">blah</ a> and store it in a database, but php automatically puts 's in front of quotations and apostrophys, is there anyway to prevent this from happening so when it is stored in the database it will be just as they typed it in the text field and not insert back slashes?
How To Save Form Data?
There is a button on one of my www pages which changes page content. It adds some fields to the form, which is created by php script. After changing the page is displayed once again. What I want to do is to save form data so after changing and reloading the page field are filled. That button is not Submit button. Can I do such thing?
Emailing Form Data
I have a form that writes to an MySQL database just fine but would like to email people to give them a heads up that an entry was made under their name (1 of 6 names on writing to the database). This server exists on an intranet and would have no 'web' function other than using possibly the existing email server. Is all that I need to do to make this happen, to change php.ini as follows: [mail function] ; For Win32 only. SMTP = mail.servername.com smtp_port = 25 ; For Win32 only. ;sendmail_from = whoever@servername.com My input form is as follows: <form action="process2.php" method="post"> From: <input type="text" name="from" size="20" maxlength="20" /><br /> To: <input type="text" name="to" size="30" maxlength="30" /><br /> Subject: <input type="text" name="subject" size="30" maxlength="30" /><br /> Message:<textarea name="text" name="message" cols="50" rows="10"></textarea><br /> <input type="submit" name="submit" value="Send" /> </form> and passes data to process2.php as shown in form 1: <?php @extract($_POST); $from = stripslashes($from); $to = stripslashes($to); $subject = stripslashes($subject); $message = stripslashes($message); mail('$to',$from,$subject,$message); header("location:process.php"); ?> This worked through my testbed on my SMTP 'once' and only sort of, once so I might be missing something. :-)
Parsing Form Data
Im using Reichard Heyes Form Processor with php3 for customers to attach multiple image files to email to me. This form uses a template to print the emailbut I cant get the email to print the original file name for example: file1.......johns image.jpg File2.....Marys image.jpg Sounds easy and most likely is but Im stuffed if I can get it to print So far all I can get is the Temp file name.
