Form Submit -> Receive Resulting Stream In Same Page
I am trying to connect an e-commerce system to a payment gateway (located in
Hong Kong). The gateway takes values in the form of a simple form submit -
however, the results (i.e. authorisation code, status, etc...) are not
returned to a separate HTML page (I am not given the option of defining a
resulting HTML page to which the results are sent) - but rather I must
receive them within the same page through a data stream somehow.
Does anyone have an idea how this is done? The example code given by the
clearing house is in JSP - so not much use to me. Actually that recommends I
send the data through a stream too - but that seems more complicated than is
necessary surely?
So far, i've done :
print "<form name="paydollar" method="POST"
action="https://www.paydollar.com/b2c2/eng/payment/payForm.jsp">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="orderRef" value="$cus_no">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="amount" value="$finalp">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="currCode" value="344">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="lang" value="E">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="merchantId" value="xxxx">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="pMethod" value="$credit_type">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="epMonth" value="$credit_expmo">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="epYear" value="$credit_expyr">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="cardNo" value="$credit_no">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="cardHolder" value="$cc_holder">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="remark" value="">";
print "<input type="hidden" name="payType" value="H">";
print "</form>";
.... and within the <body> tag I have onLoad="paydollar.submit();" - so my
form is successfull submitting automatically after the PHP script carries
out a few other functions locally (i.e. store orders to the database).
What stumps me is how to receive the resulting data from within the same
page.

[refreshing A Php Page Resulting Page Cannot Be Found Error]
i have a php page that will refresh by itself by using a meta tag and meta timer. however, without a clear indication, my page will just go "Page cannot be found". bizzarre but when i press refresh, the page can be found!. i am not sure whether this is an IE problem or issit my script problem. i don't encounter this problem if it's just a plain file.html. perhaps is my session string? i am passing my session thru the URL and i constantly refreshing it. is that the problem? my url looks like this: domain.com/myfile.php?authorize=mike&token=f5c0f7edd785a6a9448c50249bad18ed

I have a page with a form, and the code to process the form answers, I want the same page/form to just reload when the user presses submit. The only function I have found is that location command. PHP Code:
Auto Submit Form On Page Load
i have a cronjob to run a php file at a certain time of the day. it originally was suppose to run the php mail function, easy enough, right?? but no, the php mail function is not enabled on the server - just my luck. all i need to do is send two values from a database table within an email. i was thinking, i could probably create a form which plugs the two values into fields, and use the mail cgi file to send it that way, but I'd need to submit the form on page load (without someone actually clicking the submit button). I could use javascript, but the cronjob would ignore the javascript. any ideas?
Submit Form Without Clicking Submit Button
I was wondering if it is possible to use something like Javascript to make it so you don't have to click the submit button on a form to make it submit, while using php and mysql. e.g. Code:
Refresh The Page After Submit
Does anyone know how I can automatically refresh the page after the script is executed ( after user hits submit) and the database is updated, so that the line "The main office is now..." shows the new entry into the db? Thanks.
2 Submit Buttons On 1 Page
I have this code : <INPUT TYPE="Submit" VALUE="Change Password" name="ChangePasswd" TABINDEX=4> <INPUT TYPE="Submit" VALUE="Login" name="action" TABINDEX=3> Problem : When the enter is pressed, the first submit is executed. -> "Change Password". I want that when enter is pressed that the "Login" button is triggered. Is there a possibility to set the enter to "Login" without changing the the place of the buttons??? (if I put "Login" button before "Change Password"; Enter does the "Login", but this is no option)
Page Will Download After I Hit Submit.
I have a registration form that works well. It updates my DB and also sends the new member an email. The problem is that when the member fills out the registration form and hits enter the page does it's thing and then tries to download to the desktop. I get a download window alert that asks what I would like to do with "index.php". What can cause this?
Submit Vs. A Fresh Page Load
I'm developing a page - mostly for the learning experience - that includes a form with several text fields and a submit button. When it's submitted, there is some server-side processing and the output is displayed as part of the same page. (the form's action attribute is set to: "<?php $PHP_SELF ?>"). One of the steps in the PHP script is to check for the existance of a hidden element in the form so that I know whether the page is being sent out as a result of a new request or from the form having been submitted. This all works as expected. When the page is sent out as a result of having been requested from its "home" page, the results are not shown; when the submit button is clicked, the page is sent out with the results shown. Finally my question: when viewing the page with the results shown, if I press <F5> or click on "Refresh", it behaves as if I had clicked the Submit button (that is, it shows the results). I would expect it to return the page as if it was a new request (and NOT show the results).
Page Info Change On Submit
I have a menu on my site that is all pulled out of a MySQL database. So the links actually look like this: <a href="about">About Us</a> And when the user clicks on this link I want the page to go to the database and get the info for "about" and then refresh the page and display the info.
Multiple Submit Buttons On One Page
i have a table created through echo's which display data from the database. The database has multiple items in the thing, so i have lots of rows. Each row has a submit button on it with a different hidden ID, which is $row[0], which is the ID of the items that are being displayed. Displaying all the data and having the submit buttons isnt the problem. The problem is clicking the button. I'm not sure how to manage the data at the end. At the moment I have: Code:
Passing Information To A New Page With A Submit Button
I've started creating scripts that allow for one page to have a form that data can be added to. A second page that allows some one else to view all the submissions that have been entered. This page also creates a submit button for each entry. Now what I need to do is make it so that only the entry for which the submit button is connected to is carried over to a third page. At this point using variables, each button gets a different name and value such as, button 1, button 2, button 3, ... When I click any of the buttons all the data from all the submissions get carried over to the new page instead of only the data that that button goes with. How do I write the code on the third page to carry over just the data that the button I click is related to? I'm using a flat file for the data entered into the first page. Glenn
Reload Outside Page OnClick Of Submit Button
I'm using frames to create a "bookmark-like" page. You can enter a URL and it gets added to my database. I have two frames (leftFrame - to display bookmarks entered and mainFrame to show web page). I want the leftFrame to automatically refresh when the user enters a bookmark. As of now you must physically refresh the page to see the results. Here's my code:
Form Submit
A question is displayed and if the user types the answer and submit it, it gives the information if the question is wright or wrong and provides the link to the next question. Now, i made few modifications to the script and show three radio buttons and where the user can select the answer and submit it.Now, after i made changes it does'nt seems to be working. PHP Code:
Form Submit
The program I'm working on is a web-based CMS (content management system). There is a large editing form where users can add/update/alter content. Several parts of the editing process however require the user to navigate away from the page. The problem is that any changes made to the main form are discarded when navigating away (something I sort of forsaw but just never got around fixing early on - bad idea). To give you a better idea: There is the main editing form called edit_buildings.php On it there are several text fields. The form is submited to a page called edit_submit.php which does all the processing and also outputs a log of changes made, to make sure everything went through ok. However, on the edit_buildings.php page, there are links to other pages like edit_rooms.php and edit_features.php (I'm sure you can get an idea of how this works). Is there ANY (easy) way of having the links to edit_rooms.php and edit_features.php get the form submimted and processed by edit_submit.php and then redirected to the originally intended destination (edit_rooms.php, edit_features.php) ?

Form Submit Question

I want to re-submit this page with the value from the dropdown when the user presses a button named Go. Submit Form By Script
I was wondering if it was possible to have a form submitted automatically without the need for a submit button. I thought this might be a way to send arrays to another script. Is there another way to pass an array to another script, i tried via GET but it sends the word "array" and not its actual contents like so. s.php ------------- <?php $error[] = "Enter Name"; $error[] = "Enter Password"; header("Location: a.php?error=$error"); ?> a.php ------------- <?php $error = $_GET['error']; echo $error . "<br>"; ?>

Form Submit Button
Should be a quickie but I just can't get it to work. I have a form where my users can submit their football picks, when they click submit I would like another sized window to appear (mnf_scores.htm) where they can submit a total score for the Monday night football game each week. From the research I've done I think I need the following: // If this is change picks, output the submit button and close the form if ($userfunc==1) { echo "<p><input type="submit" value="Submit Your Picks!" onclick="window.open('mnf_scores.htm','MNF Scores')"/></p> </form> "; } But that just doesn't seem to work. The submit part works but the subsequent window is not opened.
Automatic Form Submit
I have to develop an application sounds like this:- User is allow to access a form (is actually a test/quiz) within a specific time frame, let say 45 minutes. After this 45 minutes, if the user has not yet click the submit button to submit the form, the system need to automatically submit it. So, can anyone teach me how to check the time out as well as how to make the form submit automatically? Thank you very much.

Auto Submit A Form In PHP
Does anybody know how to auto-submit a form in PHP without Javascript? For instance, submit form variables to self, validate the data in PHP on same page, then, if no errors, auto-submit the data via post rather than URL. Could serialize a few fields to URL, but there is a larger comments field that I think needs to be posted instead. Auto-post the form variables possible?

2 Submit Buttons In One Form...is It Possible?
I built a working form script that emails me the information the user entered in a css styled form. As well as a send button, I would like to have a print button, that instead of emailing me the information entered, it pulls the same result form that would be emailed to me, in a new window so that the user can view the result and then print it. Is this even possible? And if not, what are my alternatives? As far as I know, only the submit button collects the data in the fields and puts it into the php variables and then does something with the results.
