Form With Multiple Submit Buttons
Ive been trying to figure something out for a bit and im a little stuck on it.

I have a page with a form that on-submission passes the values of 2 hidden fields to the next page. Now however, I want to give the user a choice between 2 pages to go to, but im having trouble finding a way to pass the hidden fields to either of the 2 pages.

Right now im trying to use 2 submit buttons to do this, each one linkining to one of the 2 possible pages. Then I use the code:

Multiple Submit Buttons In Dynamically Generated Form
I have one big form on a page, within which is a list of text fields pulled from a mysql db. Each text field has an 'update' button, which submits the main form, and should UPDATE the textfield it relates to.

The problem is, all the buttons have value="Update" and I can't think of an efficient way of passing the unique id of each record to be submitted with it. Obviously, having a hidden field for each textfield won't work because the form will use the last one displayed.

Multiple Submit Buttons On Shopping Cart Form
I am using an SQL query to populate a table with product data.  The form is processed by another file.  The buttons after each item are SUBMIT buttons.  I want to have the user click the appropriate button and it sends that particular items ID value on for processing.  The only way I found to do that is to have the submit button's value be the ID; which of course displays that ID instead of a "Proceed to Checkout >" label.  I have tried a HIDDEN value inside my FOREACH loop but it returns EVERY ID not a particular one.

Need To Update Multiple Mysql Records With A Single Form Submit
I have a wish list like a shoping caty based on a mysql databse where i retrieve records with php I need to update the quantity which is in a text fields :

input type = text name = quantity[] value = $quantity
input type = checkbor value = $id name = id[]

I need to update quantities based on the primary id represented with id with a single submit.

PHP Memory For Multiple Websites
I would like to run multiple instances of TYPO3 (a cms written in PHP)
on a single server.

You can run multiple websites in two methods: multisite or multiple
instances.

In multiple instance, each instance uses the same source files but has
its own database and private file storage area.

In multisite, you can run multiple websites in a SINGLE T3 instance
because of its multisite feature. In this configuration there is only
on database and one php environment.

I would like to know if using multiple instances requires more php
memory than a single instance running multiple websites.

I was told that the bytecache (eaccelerator) is shared between all the
installations, and the PHP interpreter runs in global mode.

Therefore mod_php or fcgid believes it is running a single php instance
and does not know of the multipple instances.

So do I need more memory for one configuration vs the other?

Alias In Apache, Require Across Multiple Websites
I've set up the following using an Alias in Apache...

Alias /phpdocs/ "C:/Apache/htdocs/common/docs/php/"
<Directory "C:/Apache/htdocs/common/docs/php">
Options Indexes FollowSymlinks MultiViews
AllowOverride None
Order allow,deny
Allow from all
</Directory>

It works well for HTML, all sites have access to the information.
I want to extend that to PHP require() and include() functions,
however the following maps out to an incorrect folder. Okay,
that's fine. My questions include, does PHP provide something
that maps out to the Apache Alias directive?

The common folder currently sits up two folders (../..) to the
VirtualHost folders. I realize that possibly a PHP "include_path"
directive could work. So the next question, anyone know of
another way to accomplish this?

Installing Php 4.3.8 Onto Windows Server 2003 With IIS 6 & Multiple Websites Nightmare
I have various small html websites on my windows server 2003 pc, these
function quite happily from directories under D:websites via ports 81,
8081, 8091, 8082 and of course there is the dafault web site on port 80.

I have installed MySQL 5.0.0 and php 4.3.8, but i can't get them to work for
another website on port 8090.

If I use the command line and go to c:/php and run php -i, I can see the
test_info file information, including the html.

If I try to run it with http://80.177.100.48/test_info.php I get 'CGI
error - The specified CGI application misbehaved by not returning a complete
set of headers'

When I try to run it via http://80.177.100.48:8090/test_info.php I get a
page not found 404 error.

That pc's name is 'webserver', and is connected to the internet via an
internal ADSL card and networked to my main pc called 'whatever'.

On 'whatever' I have a test installation of phpBB2 set up on
http://80.177.100.48:9999/phpBB2/ which works fine and is quite happily
routed via port 9999 through 'webserver' to the 'whatever' root directory
under windows XP pro.

When installing and testing is finished I would like to have this running on
the 'webserver' pc.

Submit Form Without Clicking Submit Button
I was wondering if it is possible to use something like Javascript to make it so you don't have to click the submit button on a form to make it submit, while using php and mysql. e.g. Code:

Submit A Form Without The Submit Button
Is there a way to submit a form without the submit button?  Do I have to use the javascript - document.formname.submit();

How To Submit A Form Without A Submit Button
how i can submit a form without using a submit button, i have to use this in one of my ongoing project.

Multiple Submit Buttons
I am just getting trouble in a form submission. I have two input box with values and after each one it has two submit button.
When i want to update it gives me the same value for all input boox. Check this code..

I m gettin same value when i click on update for any input box:

How To Use Multiple Submit Buttons?
I have a sort form that has two fields one to specify the row name and the data that you want to sort the database output by.
But when i input an alphanumeric letter like "X" it gives me an error:

Multiple Submit Buttons
I want to create a form with several submit buttons, i.e. button1 => do this and button2 => do that, how do i find out which button the user clicked on? PHP Code:

Submit Multiple Forms At Once?
What I am trying to accomplish doesn't seem totally unique so it very likely the way I am asking the question which is keeping me from finding the answer. This is an expense report problem. I have 3 tables that make up an expense report: expensereport, erDets, and erSplits.

The reason for the 3rd table is that in some cases the employee will need to split an expense into multiple lines due to multiple projects being covered by one expense item. What I want to do is create an interface that makes it seem like the user is entering into just 2 tables (expensereport, details) so the need I have is to combine the 2 tables (erDets, erSplits) into one form -- or at least the appearance of one form. an idea I have is to have just one button that submits both forms. Could I make a button that when clicked would do the following?

1. query one: insert into erDets (form1)
2. retrieve the newly created key --$var = mysql_insert_id()
3. query two: insert into erSplits ($var,  form2)

Maybe there is a better way to accomplish this?

Multiple Submit Buton Not Working
I have this form wherein the user needs to fill up. The first field on the form is a drop down box (which was dynamically created using select stmt in MySQL). The next field is also a drop down box (the choice of the user on the first drop down box will be the condition on the dynamically created drop down box in the second) and this condition will proceed until the third field in the form before the user can actually add an information in the database.

Multiple Submit Buttons On One Page
i have a table created through echo's which display data from the database.  The database has multiple items in the thing, so i have lots of rows. Each row has a submit button on it with a different hidden ID, which is $row[0], which is the ID of the items that are being displayed.

Displaying all the data and having the submit buttons isnt the problem. The problem is clicking the button. I'm not sure how to manage the data at the end. At the moment I have: Code:

How To Avoid Multiple Submit Button Click?
i have one form on which the data is stored in database and suppose the
user clicks the back button of browser and again click on submit button
then the data will be saved in database again.

so how can i solve this problem?

Form Submit
A question is displayed and if the user types the answer and submit it, it gives the information if the question is wright or wrong and provides the link to the next question.
Now, i made few modifications to the script and show three radio buttons and where the user can select the answer and submit it.Now, after i made changes it does'nt seems to be working. PHP Code:

Form Submit
The program I'm working on is a web-based CMS (content management system). There is a large editing form where users can add/update/alter content. Several parts of the editing process however require the user to navigate away from the page. The problem is that any changes made to the main form are discarded when navigating away (something I sort of forsaw but just never got around fixing early on - bad idea). To give you a better idea:

There is the main editing form called edit_buildings.php On it there are several text fields. The form is submited to a page called edit_submit.php which does all the processing and also outputs a log of changes made, to make sure everything went through ok.

However, on the edit_buildings.php page, there are links to other pages like edit_rooms.php and edit_features.php (I'm sure you can get an idea of how this works).

Is there ANY (easy) way of having the links to edit_rooms.php and edit_features.php get the form submimted and processed by edit_submit.php and then redirected to the originally intended destination (edit_rooms.php, edit_features.php) ?

Form Submit
I wrote a php script to get user input from a submiited form. I want to display the processing result in a new customized window. How can I make the form result display to a new customized window?

PHP Form Self Submit ?
I'm try to figure out how to submit the Form Variable to Multiple Address. The basic form action is only post to single address like this, <form method= post action="abc.php">

If I want to post the same variable to more than one address when I click the submit button, like posting to folowing address:

1) abc.php
2) discuss.php
3) log.php
4) data.php
5) 123.php

Did your have any idea how does it work in php? Did anyone can tell me where can I find the tutorial teaching on this method or did your have any code sample that can share with me for reference.

FORM SUBMIT
Can I pass data from one form to another on one page (what i've got is one form that when the submit button is pressed it submits the form in another window, part of my form:
PHP Code:

Php Submit Form
what I am trying to do is make form so I can put my password in and then it sends it to my email from wherever I am. This what I have so far. For some reason I cant make it work Code:

Submit Form
I have this code and when i put the amount of tickets you buy and hit Return it does not submit and there is no change to the database, yet when you hit the submit button it works. Code:

PHP Form Submit
I'm really new to PHP but I need a form submit on my website. When using the form everything seems to work, but I am not receiving the data from my form. I used a program that I found to make the form and was hoping that it would just work.

Form Variables Without Submit
Is there a way to pass variables from a form to PHP without submitting the form? ie. retrieving a user's selection from a picklist or checkbox.

Form Submit Question
I have a script that may/may not have a URL parameter called
month, i.e. http://www.myhost.com/myscript.php?month=5

I have a form on the page that has a dropdown named team.
I want to re-submit this page with the value from the dropdown
when the user presses a button named Go. This value needs
to be appended to the URL in the fashion:
http://www.myhost.com/myscript.php?month=4&team=22

Looks like I may need some javascript in this as well, huh?

Remote Form Submit
say for example, theres a url given to me, on that page theres a form, with a text box and a submit button. if i know names of both, can i fill it in and submit remotely, and say retrieving results of the next coming page? i know how to store a url in a file, but i just dont know how to do the above.

Submit Form By Script
I was wondering if it was possible to have a form submitted automatically without the need for a submit button. I thought this might be a way to send arrays to another script.

Is there another way to pass an array to another script, i tried via GET but it sends the word "array" and not its actual contents like so.

s.php
-------------
<?php
$error[] = "Enter Name";
$error[] = "Enter Password";
header("Location: a.php?error=$error");
?>

a.php
-------------
<?php
$error = $_GET['error'];
echo $error . "<br>";
?>

Submit Form Once Per IP Address Per Day
I am looking for a PHP script form which will send the form only once per IP address in 24 hours!

Return Shall Not Submit A Form
I have the problem that I want to submit a form only if the submit button is
clicked with the mouse. The form should not be submitted if the user hits the RETURN key.

Submit Form By Pressing Any Key.
I would like to create a hidden form which shold be submitted after
user press any key. Is it possible?

Form Submit Button
Should be a quickie but I just can't get it to work.

I have a form where my users can submit their football picks, when they
click submit I would like another sized window to appear (mnf_scores.htm)
where they can submit a total score for the Monday night football game each
week. From the research I've done I think I need the following:

// If this is change picks, output the submit button and close the form
if ($userfunc==1) {
echo "<p><input type="submit" value="Submit Your Picks!"
onclick="window.open('mnf_scores.htm','MNF Scores')"/></p>
</form>
";
}

But that just doesn't seem to work. The submit part works but the subsequent
window is not opened.

Automatic Form Submit
I have to develop an application sounds like this:-
User is allow to access a form (is actually a test/quiz) within a
specific time frame, let say 45 minutes. After this 45 minutes, if the
user has not yet click the submit button to submit the form, the
system need to automatically submit it.

So, can anyone teach me how to check the time out as well as how to
make the form submit automatically? Thank you very much.

Source Of Form Submit
What is the best way to detect the URL where the form has been submitted, here’s an example "www.domain.com/page1.php" has a form that will be submitted to "www.domain.com/page2.php". I need to be sure that all variables that will be submitted to page2.php are from page1.php of the same domain or else I have to deny the request.

Tracking A Form Submit
I'm tracking how often a form is submitted, so I can count how many items are send. In the results page after submitting the form I add 1 to a table in MySQL. The problem is that when you reload the page the table is updated again. How can I solve this so I only count it one time?

Auto Submit A Form In PHP
Does anybody know how to auto-submit a form in PHP without Javascript?

For instance, submit form variables to self, validate the data in PHP on
same page, then, if no errors, auto-submit the data via post rather than
URL. Could serialize a few fields to URL, but there is a larger comments
field that I think needs to be posted instead.

Auto-post the form variables possible?

Clear Form After Submit
i have a form that i want cleared after user submits the form.  right now as it stands if the user hits the "BACK" button on the browser they are still able to see what they typed. Code:

2 Submit Buttons In One Form...is It Possible?
I built a working form script that emails me the information the user entered in a css styled form. As well as a send button, I would like to have a print button, that instead of emailing me the information entered, it pulls the same result form that would be emailed to me, in a new window so that the user can view the result and then print it.

Is this even possible? And if not, what are my alternatives? As far as I know, only the submit button collects the data in the fields and puts it into the php variables and then does something with the results.

Two Actions On Form Submit.
Im have a form that is submited to someone elses site. (PayPal).  When the user clickes the submit button, i would like my site to update a database, as well as submitting the form. (so as to prevent a situation where they click one button, and then another to do the same thing).

Submit A Form Every X Seconds
i want to let a form submit ever 2 seconds to test a thing with my server.
how would i go about doing it?

Submit/cancel Form
I have a form with two buttons - cancel and submit,

<form action = "order.php?process=yes" method = "post">

<input type = "submit" name="submit" value="cancel">

<input type = "submit" name="submit" value="submit">

How does one get the script to reset on cancel or process order on submit?

2 Submit Button In A Form
2 buttons - update and delete as submit button. I cant use the $_POST or $_GET METHOD as it cant use.

Before the form is submited, it is required for fields validation. validation will be done by the client side. How can i skip doing with the POST and GET method.

Redirect After Form Submit
I've been searching on the net for a possible solution for this and have been trying all the different options but none seem to work for me i guess because of how my form is set up, but i know there has to be a way for this....

I have it set up so if you have already voted on my poll it will send you to the results page (finally) but when you first vote it still shows the poll again unless you refresh the screen.. Code:

Source Of Form Submit
What is the best way to detect the URL where the form has been submitted, here’s an example

"www.domain.com/page1.php" has a form that will be submitted to "www.domain.com/page2.php". I need to be sure that all variables that will be submitted to page2.php are from page1.php of the same domain or else I have to deny the request.

Submit Form With Return Key
anyone knows how to submit form with return key (IE)) It sounds more like a javascript question but if you know about it.

Form Submit To Itself On Error
This form posts an error message to itself along with the original form if error is present on a page named quote.php.

If errors are not present, the form will continue to the next page. The problem is, when i do get an error and make the correction, the form error is still there, how can i unset the error upon submiting?

$recto is the form action value or: Code:
